Okay here is my great idea. First let me say i have a wonderful fiance who has been by me side by side, but i have seen him scared worried and feeling almost as alone as our fellow lyme suffers. I know that there are many spouses on this board, but wouldnt it be nice if they had there own flash disscussion to cover a broad number of the family/issues. I know they are all over the other fourms but i think it could be advantageou. Also its a place whre lyme suffer's can reflect and see what there significant others are going through. just a thought, but i think my fiance would diffently come on if they had there own area, were he felt comfortable:) thoughts suggestions...

Shelly, I think that's a GREAT idea!!! My husband reads and researches as much as I do on Lyme and I know he struggles a lot with understanding what I'm going through and dealing with my daily ups and downs.
No doubt if he had a place here where he could connect with others going through the same he would. Maybe we could contact the moderators and see what they think?

You can find threads of this nature by searching for "spouses" or "spouse" in either General Support or Off Topic forums.
You might also find it in the Newbie packages at the top of the medical forum.
there are many spouses/significant other connections.
Also ask about that at your local support groups.

Shelly23,
Any progress with your spouse support idea? I'm a spouse looking for support.
Thanks, Suzeq

You need to contact LouB the moderator.
I'm not sure they can add another forum...but I could be wrong.

shelly,
please edit your post by clicking on pencil, 3rd box to right, and make it MANY, SHORT paragraphs and double space between each one like i'm doing here.
we severe neuros can't comprehend and read it as is; we just go to someone's post we CAN read.
saw tutu's comment about another forum; NOPE, we are at capacity, and lou b has said that several times before.

Why don't they get rid of the forums nobody ever uses or cannot even post on like the Lyme Disease Association and News/Press Releases which are just sitting there unused. It would free up space for a Family Support Forum and an Alternative therapy forum with links.
