Hey guys, brother in law down in Florida 6 year old has been diagnosed with ADD. they used to live in long island where Lyme is a hot bed. Does Dr. jones still handle kids or where can they go to find out about a igenex test somewhere down there?

thanks

Dr Jones is still practicing. It is about a six month wait to get in to see him.

You can get any local doctor to order the test.

They will get the results, you get a copy,

We can help you interpret them.

May be worth doing while waiting to see Dr. J.

Hugs,

Geneal

We see him. I would call and see if a nurse will send you the test requisition and Igenex kit.

That might save a trip -- if it is negative and doesn't have other signs of Lyme.

My 6 year child has Lyme and they thought it was ADD at first.

There are a number of different things that might be responsible for ADD. If you want to explore the other possibilities, beyond Lyme, get the book by Dr. Gant. Somewhere I have the name of a place you can order it, not Amazon which seems only to have a ridiculous cost attached. A ripoff artist no doubt. ADD is another one of those things that is poorly handled by the medical establishment, and it is hard to find anyone who will look for the underlying cause instead of just shoving ritalin or one of those drugs down a kid forever.

Wow Lou thanks, I agree with that statement even if i look like an idiot over this, i think it's worth ruling out Lyme as culprit. You are so right about the underline causes i think you should become a Doc LOL! you have more intelligence then they do.

I do think checking on lyme is a good idea for this child. But there are some other possibilities too. Can get more info on the other things (not lyme) in this book, with ordering info:
