Hi All:

Here goes, another week to look to the Lord--from where my strength comes from.

"Don't believe in miracles--depend on them," Laurence J. Peter.

treepatrol shared this last time, it was the last post. Worth repeating, interesting to think about and probably wise to do.

Everything I need to know about life, I learned from Noah 's Ark .

One : Don't miss the boat.

Two : Remember that we are all in the same boat.

Three : Plan ahead. It wasn't raining when Noah built the Ark.

Four : Stay fit. When you're 600 years old, someone may ask you to do something really big.

Five : Don't listen to critics; just get on with the job that needs to be done.

Six : Build your future on high ground.

Seven : For safety sake, travel in pairs.

Eight : Speed isn't always an advantage. The snails were on board with the cheetahs.

Nine : When you're stressed, float a while.

Ten : Remember, the Ark was built by amateurs; the Titanic by professionals.

Eleven: No matter the storm, when you are with God, there's always a rainbow waiting.

Ah finally got to read this...

#9 stands out for me today

#9 definitely, especially today.

I need to remember the Almighty's words in Psalm 46:10, "Be still and know that I am God."

Cool Noah's ark thing!!

daisy.. I have that verse in crosstitch!

Time for this!

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

John 3:16

Makes me smile! [Smile]

Kam, glad you were able to read "Noah's Ark". Hope that means you're doing some better?!

Lymetoo, great verse to have in cross stitch.

I used to do cross stitch, now busy with other things. Really enjoyed it though.

I have one cross stitch framed and on my fireplace that reads, "God Bless our Home". Wow, just figured out, I stitched that over 25 years ago. God truly has blessed our family, too.

And you're right about John 3:16. Time now!

Time goes by so fast, I'm thankful for eternity and especially everlasting life!

It's always time for John 3:16.

I started reading the Magnificat (Luke 1:46-55)--"My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior..."

I'm not Catholic (I just always think of my Catholic cousins when I start meditating on this passage), but it has always stood out for me.

Every year I vow to have it memorized by Christmas, and it never happens.

But it's good to meditate on it. Even when my mouth isn't praising and glorifying God, my soul still does.

MADDOG and Starfall just imagine the faith of Job and Mary.

I mean, Job is going through more than I can even imagine and he says, "Tho He slay me, yet will I trust in Him."

Then there is Mary: engaged, pregnant--not pregnant by the fellow she is engaged to, telling people she is carrying the Son of God (that went over really well), living at a time when she could have been/should have been stoned to death and what does she do?

She praises God!

Good stuff to remember.

Praise God from whom all blessings flow!

God is always thinking about us. WOW!

Psalm 139:17-18

"How precious to me are Your thoughts, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!

Were I to count them,
they would outnumber the grains of sand.

When I awake,
I am still with You."

How great to know each morning when we wake up, He is STILL with us. He never leaves us alone.

I'm glad. Thank You, Father God.

I found this quote in a church newsletter. (not sure who this person is .. )

Jackson Senyonga of Kampala, Uganda has an adage he likes to quote. The adage is: "Much prayer, much power. Little prayer, little power. No prayer, no power."

Pretty good, huh!?

Lymetoo, that is GOOD! Prayer is being in His presence.

This is so beautiful. Words to a song on Youtube:

"In Your presence that's where I am strong.

In Your presence that's where I belong.

Seeking Your face.

Touching Your grace."

Wow.. I'm going to check that out. Maybe we could use it in our praise and worship service.

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Jeremiah 29:11
