Ever since I became ill I have tried so hard to educate others. Especially since I work in healthcare.
A girl who was in nursing school with me came into school one day and she just looked awful.
I asked her what was going on and she said she has been going for test after test and nothing is showing.
She had constant head pressure and was losing feeling in her arms and legs.
I urged her to get Igenex testing done and steered her toward a doctor.
Well, I just got off the phone with her. She has had her PICC in for a few weeks and she is feeling so much better.
She was lucky and it was caught pretty early. Even her initial lyme tests through a regular lab were positive.
I am so happy for her that I forgot my own woes for a moment.
It's nice to see her having a happy ending.
It made my day.

I have been trying to get a couple of ppl to listen to me and go see a LLMD and neither have listened so far. They continue to suffer. Makes me feel so frustrated.

I know what you mean. When I first went to my lyme doc, after a year of "specialists", do I really love what he told me.
"Not everybody who thinks they have lyme disease has Lyme disease. I'm going to put you on a trial of antibiotics. If you have lyme, you will get sicker. If you don't have lyme, it won't hurt you." Three days after starting antibiotics, I was horribly sick for two weeks. That clinched the diagnosis. I wish more doctors were willing to do a trial of antibiotics like that. The subsequent herx's would certainly clinch those elusive diagnoses. I, too, have friends for whom a trial of antibiotics would be very enlightening. It sure would give hope to those misdiagnosed with fibromyalgia and M.S.

Great stuff! it amazes me though some people won't listen. Once someone gets a diagnosis it is very hard to get them to get a second opinion.

It's wonderful that you could help her! I know that great feeling when you are able to be useful to someone. Most of the time I feel totally useless.
