You should post this in medical for more input. I am not a doctor, but I think you should contact him/her. They may need to back off the meds a little.

It may be a herx. I think Dr. B says that he has seen some of the worst herxes in the 4th week.

Please call the doctor and let them know what is going on.

I hope things turn around soon.

I haven't heard back from the doctor but I have been at the ER for the past 5 hours, and of course they don't believe in chronic lyme disease,

I started screaming I totally lost control of myself (which I should not have) but when you see your daughter like that and then they treat her like she is nuts, its about all you can take.

After that I told them she had a neruo and was disagnosed with polyradiculitis and a heart specialist and was diagnosed with POTS (which they didn't know what that was, had to explain)

They think it was the wellbutin, that was making her see things, they did give her a shot for pain and xanax for aniexty. Just hoping to hear back from her Dr by tomorrow.

Thank you B4LME and Carly for responding, I don't really get to many responses from this board thats why I don't post very often, I do however go on daily when I am able.

May God help us all

Been thinking about you and praying, too.
How are things today?

BTW: I don't always respond to posts b/c I can't organize my thoughts right. Maybe the same is true for others. Many care who do not post.

Tammy, When my daughter was on IV Doxy and IV Rocephin, she was at her worst. She was "out of her mind" nightly for months. She was more suicidal than normal and was even homicidal.

Her pain was unbearable and she saw and heard many things that did not exist. She was either wiped out in pain or angry and raging.

She was also on oxycodone or another such med at the time and valium was on hand for each episode.

It was a horrible time but once on the other side of it, she has been better with pain in her head and the rages.

I remember in the Lyme movie that a lady that went to Dr.J went thru a horrible struggle to get on the other side of such pain.

With us, the valium helped and there were days when my daughter on her own, backed off of some of the meds.

Her llmd didn't get the fact that her normal herxes were rages and suicide attempts until the DR. observed some of this first hand in another patient. Then I was told, ok,now I get this. I am so sorry....

My daughter was bitten by tens, if not hundreds of ticks and not sure if our biddies are just a bit worse or if the combined bites had intensified all of the symptoms.

Get help for YOU..This is so hard on the mom..We are supposed to get our children well and after a short time, many get tired of the story and that it isn't resolved. It is also hard on marriages.

Let the yellow jackets go and find some true friends that will stay for the duration.

Watch for escalation in mental symptoms and treat quickly. Paranoia, OCD, cutting, objects of doom and gloom, etc..

Good luck and may you find the help you need..I think there is a teen site at the Chester Co. Pa Lyme Support Group site. It might help..lmt

I'm sorry you haven't received many responses. I would post this in medical.

My kids had horrible herxes. They seem to herx around 4 days and then monthly after that.
