Hi Gang
I really need to know which state has the highest SS disability approval rate.

I can't in no way shape or form wait two years for a hearing then the Dayton SS judges only aprove 50 percent of their cases.

I have to move to another state and restart my SS disability application.

OHIO SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looking into disability also. I've heard some people say it was easy, and others say it wasn't so easy in TX.

Hi Kday
I understand Texas is another hard state to get SS in.

Nebraska is not to bad as I remember.

I had a chart but can't find it any more.

I still have one computer I havent checked yet.

In Ohio the sicker you are the harder it is to get SS disability.

They hope you will die and they will never have to pay you a cent.

It is my understanding that claiming mental disability makes it a lot easier to get disability in TX. But of course you do need a mental diagnosis as well.

I also wonder how the lack of funds affects things with SS in each state.

I know CA is really having a rough time of it right now and so is AZ.

Guessing it is across the nation. Main street vs Wall street once again. I don't need to get started down that path....

nothing I can do about it except get angry right now....and be thankful I don't live in Haiti

Maddog, I do believe you would qualify for a mental disability quickly? The way you howl at the moon and pee on the trees.

Maybe you should file in Ky. After all that's where your nightmare began. It's all KY's fault.

I am from NY, just applied. Had my phone interview yesterday plus did all kinds of forms online.

Don't know, but I have heard it is a little easier to get when you're older(like me). But I'll be real surprised if I get it. I will appeal with a lawyer though b/c there is no way I'll ever be able to go back to my job.

Also, don't forget, this is our money. SSI is a different story.

Hi Keltyl
Here in ohio they don't care they turn you down and hope you die.

I will be 55 in july,i have worked since i was 12.

They like that, it makes it more likely i will die before i can win my disability.

Kelty,

I worked since I was 16. But, SSDI just counts for the last 10 years.

If you don't have enough credits for those 10 years you receive SSI

I was in college most of that time and then worked for the state of CA who did not take out for SSDI at the time.

Everyone knows the Social Security and Veteran's benefits are the first ones cut when the "gubment" needs money for something else. How many times have we been promised the money will be there? The money is yours...as long as you don't need it. WOW!! I think I'm a little bitter! Take care, friends. Don.
