I don't feel like fighting anymore. I have never felt so hopeless in my entire life. I have lost everything. I wouldn't care so much about losing everything if I felt better but I don't. If my husband says "Oh your in pain today" one more time I might go off the deep in. No Honey I am in pain every day from morning to night...24/7...never stops plus all of the other symptoms that go along with Lyme. I really don't know how much more I can take, I am at the end of road and I need to make a decision to either keep fighting or simply give up????
Thanks for listening:-)

Welcome sunshine!

I am so sorry that you are feeling so defeated.

Many people here understand what you are feeling.

Are you currently treating with a LLMD?

Do you have pain management?

Please do not give up...do not give in to those nasty spirochetes!

I understand the 24/7 pain. I've had it for 22 years, but much worse for the last 2 years.

My head and neck pain is actually slowly improving now with doxy and plaquenil.

Please stick around the boards here. Read, ask questions and it will help. We understand when others don't.

Go to the Medical Questions board to ask any questions there that you may have.

If you need a LLMD go to the Seeking a Dr board.

You may have already read everything under the sun about lyme and coinfections, but since I don't know, I'm attaching this paper....

sunshine, my husband 10 yrs later still will say "what's wrong with you today?" I want to kill at that moment. He knows when my pain level is esculated not to even talk to me!

Well maybe not kill, but putting my hands around his throat certainly would make me feel better for a few minutes. How long can one go without breathing?

Pam

Oh yeah, quitting is not an option. Read my signature line.

Welcome Sunshine,

Please do not give up!! You have come to the right place. This board is a wealth of information, help and support.

This board has been my life line when I had no where to turn to for our daughter.

Have you seen a LLMD?, if not post in seeking a Doctor.

The Lyme road is a long one, but we are all here to help you along the way.

Don't give up because tomorrow might be the start of something good.

Take care and good luck. Jane

sunshine-

I am right there with you at this point you are not alone. I am so sick of it all.

Do you have a pain management doctor or someone to treat your pain?

I see a pain management doctor and it helps.

I am taking fentanyl patch 50 mcg every 2 days and oxycodone 15mg 3x a day.

The other things that I am doing to help the pain are taking tumeric 500mg 3x a day, B12 shots, Im magnesium shots, fish oil, aquatherapy, trigger point injections, cervical injections

the thing that has had the most instant relief is accupuncture! It made me go from a pain level of a 7 to a 2 instantly. I mean really right away. IT lasted 2 days. I cant say enough about it. I was really skeptical but hey it worked.

So make sure you are actively trying everything that you can before you stop trying.

I have no idea what you are treating and how,
but wanted you to know that pain is my worst enemy and you are not suffering a lone. hang in there.

Yes I am currently seeing a LLMD, we have tried every type of antibiotics and had reaction from all of them. I am now doing Bicillin shots every 7 days. I am on pain medicine however it does not give me much relief it allows me to get out of bed. I haven't seen a pain management doctor yet because I am nervous about going to another doctor. I was misdiagnosed for so long and have lost all faith in the medical community with the exception of my doctor.
My BP is extremely low running around the 42/58 at times it is a little higher just started on Cortef.
I can understand why pain causes individuals to give up but I won't I have come this far but god the PAIN never stops...I would do anything to have just a couple of hours pain free:-)
Thanks everyone I don't feel alone now!!

Sunshine, we really really do know how you feel. Hopefully that makes it just slightly easier to bear. I have had that chronic pain every day on a scale level of 6-9 for the last few years.

Do not give up! I've had those days too, where the bottles of sleeping pills and painkillers look like my best friends and I thought "this could all be over in just a few hours". But then it passes and something makes me laugh.

I started seeing a pain mgmt doc @ 6 weeks ago. It's trial and error, but I'm not giving up.

As controversial as it is amongst us Lymies, I went for my first steroid injection in my neck the other day. I'm not getting my hopes up too much, but already I've seen my pain go from 7-8 down to 2-4. I'll take that!

Just please don't give him. Tell your husband to stick it. And if that doesn't work, kick him in the nads and then say "oh are you in pain". LOL

Seriously, though, I don't condone violence but ask him to remember the worst pain he's ever felt then multiply that by 100 and maybe he'll have an idea.

I'm so sorry you and merrygirl are at your wits end. Pain is so hard to handle. Just awful.

Have you been treated for babesia yet? Just wondering. That would surely help if you have it.

hugs! and please continue to hang with us. We care.
