nomolyme, Sorry you are in such pain, depressed, and having such a hard time.

Dr. Klinghardt, (from his conference, "Lyme and Other Chronic Infections" December 2009) says that, "It is not the bugs that make us sick, but it is their "poop and pee". It is the substances that they send out to subdue our immune systems that make us feel ill."

As a result Lyme Literate Experts are focusing more and more on detoxing for patients.

I encourage you to consider doing some detoxing. It helps me and my husband greatly. I posted Dr. J's (KS) Detoxing Bath on the following thread (page 3 almost at the bottom):

You ask about a cure for Lyme. In Dr J's most recent blog he talks about that exact subject and you can read it at:

http://davidjernigan.blogspot.com/2010/06/can-lyme-disease-be-cured.html

PS: When you get a chance you may want to read the 4 pages of gwb's thread and see what helped us.

Said a prayer for you.

I would say that you have this in the right place! No worries.

What I'd like to know is what are you doing for treatment right now?? You have a good LLMD??

I was feeling depressed yesterday. It's rough... I'm not generally a depressive person.

Even if you are in pain, swimming may help you. Just go out & move around in the water. It may help to get some endorphins moving, getting some sun & air... It may lift you out of the depression. I'm a big fan of swimming - even if there's chlorine & all of that. Just don't over do it - sun or swimming.

Being in pain does not mean that you shouldn't get some light exercise.

Just take it one step at a time. You can't get your license back today - so, give it a rest. Think about it on Tuesday.

I try to stay away from drugs as much as I can. Detox is good. Sometimes, the drugs are necessary but it may be good to try to ease off of them if possible.

Dear nomolyme,
I feel the same way constantly! I had my driver's permit renewed, only to become too ill to practice driving to get my license! It is due for renewal next month already. We are all out of work, and job prospects are non-existent.

My great-aunt is dying of cancer, but I am too ill to visit her. The last thing she would need is to listen to me whine about all of my issues anyway. I am stuck living at home with my parents at 27, and cannot depend on them much of the time. I get yelled at if the dog pees in the floor even though I walked her, and that is on top of utilities being shut off because my father cannot get his butt in gear.

All I want is to be able to support myself and get out of here. People in the family treat me like an alien from another planet. They have no idea how toxic they are to me. All I know is, I wonder if anything will ever get better. You even think sometimes you would be better off if someone just shot you. They say misery loves company, but not if your family is like mine.

I take solace in knowing my experience gives others a good laugh. One day, things should get better. One day, I will look back and realize how far I have come. For now, I must keep focused on what I want. If I am rich enough, I can pay my relatives to stay away!

Feel free to PM me anytime you need to vent. Other people do not understand how frustrating chronic illness is. They easily ignore the fact that you are debilitated, angry, and hurt by what has occurred. When you have plans for your life and they do not materialize, everything appears useless. You feel as if all you do is spin your wheels, but you never actually get anywhere. Most people do not realize all we want is understanding, not sympathy.

Sincerely,
Jin

I know about lyme in the brain. I can't stress one day at a time. Its scary, you could be yourself one day, and the next, you're in limbo. PM if you want. One day at a time.
