i have been there and it is very frustrateing when your family will only listen to main stream Doctors and think your nuts.
so i have put together a very good DVD from news clips and other youtube stories,
it is a very good DVD to show anyone who needs to be informed about lyme.
it help convince my brother to get him and his son tested.
and guess what they both are CDC positive
so if you could benefit from such a DVD just let me know and i can send you a copy

Something happened to me recently that really angered me. I was to take a trip to Italy to receive crucial treatment for my illness.
Two days prior to the flight, my nephew was having his first communion. My brother was severely fierce in his "hope" that I would make an appearance.
When I called him a week in advance he appeared to cope well with my decline to go. I told him that my health was poor, and that making the trip was essential. I needed to be well enough to travel and so I had to rest before leaving.
The day of the activity he told people at the celebration that he was very disappointed that I did not attend. He said "He is well enough to Fly to Italy but can't even stop by for a few hours to such an important event?"
I called him later expressing my unhappiness about his comments. I was informed of what he said by others who attended.
He refused to acknowledge my reasoning when I called. I told him I really wanted to attend but it was not wise because it could be the difference between draining my energy and causing me to be very sick when attempt to travel.
We are at a stalemate, which has been going on for years. I gave him a copy of Under Our Skin and I've tried to help educate him. I am unable to get thru to him.
I'm an extremely brilliant and intelligent communicator -- or so I'm told -- and if I can't convince him of the significance of this situation, what else can I do?
Would your material help me save this relationship? If so, please send me a copy. I'm in need to finding a way out of this. The anger is strong on both sides now.

but I am only in my first month so we shall see how they are later on down the line.

I am considering sending him a copy of my latest paper and demonstrating the science.
My brother is a Physical Therapist with a doctorate. His opinion is contrasted with friends he knows in the medical community.
He has spoken about me to them -- I am sure -- and concluded that my case is not worth noting.
This absurd behavior has enraged me, and caused waves through our entire family. I have been extremely reasonable and tried my best, but I can't seem to get the dialogue really going.

I have cryed on the phone to my brother and sister for years looking for support through being sick and they dont understand. Now that i have a diagnosis it hasnt changed no matter how much i explain to them how serious it is. Kinda hurts since my parents are able to be there and since my brother and sisters lives are going just fine they cant find the time to be there for me.. Really hurts. Its like they have been hearing me say im sick for 10 years so even thought i have a diagnosis and explained my obstacles in getting proper treatment their attitude remains the same. I have to not pay much attention to that hurt though as it will self defeat me.
