Good Morning Friends,

As I re-read last week's God Thought thread I couldn't help but think of our great need and God's great supply! He is All-Sufficient for us...as so many shared about from experience last week.

Decided to start with the song I closed with last time,

"Enough" by Chris Tomlin

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EW-toYBiF8o&feature=related

Matthew 6:31-33 (New International Version)

So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

daisy,

Great scripture...Matthew 6: 31-33!!

Yes, God does know all our needs and He does supply all our needs!!!

Love that song...Enough by Chris Tomlin!

He sings....

"You are my supply,
My breath of life.."

and

"You are my reward,
worth living for..."

So true!!!!!!!

As we pray for our needs and the needs of others, I thought of this scripture...

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7 (NASB)

Dekrator,

Philippians 4:6-7...just what I needed. AMEN!

And the song...just listened to it again. "I Can Only Imagine" oh, WOW, I CAN only imagine!!!

Hello gang [Smile] Thank you again Daisy for the wonderful passage above... He does supply all of our needs... Thank you too for the beautiful song Enough... He is so good...

MDW -- hope you are still enjoying apples...

Dekerator, You know us well... Phillipians 4:6-7 is exactly what keeps me in a state of peace a lot time.

Well, all, I thankfully have a praise report! I went to my primary care doc and took her the results of the viral stuff and she said it all looked like old exposure to her. She said my immune system is doing well... PRAISE God... The worry that I had on that one... was certainly not Godly. Though, I had come to a peace-- definitely our GOD!

[bow]

Relief for sure... now just to keep on fighting the good fight and like our lymenet friend said-- Daisy and Dekerator- thanks for reposting... I now look forward to my meds etc... and am keeping my eye on the prize.

Thank you all for that! I went to biblestudy tonight-- Beth Moore and Revelations... she kept quoting... Be not AFRAID... Gosh, it hit home and reminded me of our board. In Him we all can lift each other up... and support each other towards healing....

Thinking about you all and wanted to say thanks... for being here!

XOXO [group hug]

Amelia,

Praise God! So happy to hear that your immune system is doing well.

Great news!!!

Love your thoughts on "Be not afraid".

I agree....this board...this thread...is soooo important.

We need it. And we need our God.

John 14:27 (NIV)
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

Have a great day, everyone. I'm off to my LLMD appt. [Smile]

Hello everyone,

The last two days have been so bad that I couldn't get to my computer.

But, right now, I am able to write.

I am hoping that the herxing that I have been going through is tapering off.

My doc told me to back off the abx (reduce the amt) a bit to see if that helps.

I am depleted right now. I am just leaning on GOd, and praying "help".

Nothing eloquent. Just "help".

My husband is going out of town for two days on business. I think I will need extra support and prayers.

I am kind of afraid of being alone, with this pain. I KNOW that I am not alone, God is here.

I wonder if the Mepron is depressing me. I think I will call my doc about that tomorrow.

Phillipians 4:6-7 has always been a favorite verse of mine.

Anxiety is very real right now. Why can't I just let it go?

Hi friends,

I had a good LLMD appt today. Will be increasing my doxy dose and also trying some compounded T3 to see if that helps with muscle pain and energy level.

I feel so lucky to have such a caring and patient LLMD. I talked with him for 1 1/2 hrs.

sjo,

I am so sorry that you are having such a hard time right now. It will get better.

Here are a few songs that you can save to your favorites on your computer if you want, and listen to them when you are feeling so down......the first one by Casting Crowns is "Praise You in this Storm"....it reminds me of something I heard today on a Christian radio station when I was driving home from my LLMD appt...

That when we get to Heaven, we will be so overjoyed to tell God Thank you for each and every one of our struggles, problems, pain and suffering.

I had to stop and think about it, but I understand what they were saying.

It sounds like backing off on your Abx is a good idea for right now.

God will hear your plea for help.

I will say extra prayers for you.

It's hard to just let go sometimes because we are still human....but all things are possible with God. [Smile] [bow]

Lord, Please help sjo get through this difficult time.

Hold her in the palm of your hand and let her feel Your love and the love of her family and friends.

Lord, please comfort sjo, and help her heal physically and emotionally.

Please help sjo to feel hope with each new day.

Help her to use her faith to calm her anxiety.

Please give sjo the strength she needs to get through every day...one day at a time.

Lord, please let sjo feel calm because she is loved and she is Your precious child.

I pray this in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen

Sjo.... I am tired tonight but I will give you a few words...Okay?
sweet sjo,
My poor feet have traveled the hot dusty road; the dust even dried my eyes...I couldn't see but only the long lonely road in front of me. This road did not seem to have a beginning or an end.
Fear and anxiety deep in my soul....but it did end....My blistered feet stumbled and as I fell to my knees, I had come upon a crossroad that offered courage, strength and hope....It is called faith.
Faith in the Lord will conquer your doubts.
I am praying for you.

I need to rest my eyes friends.
Diane

Had to come back... God gave me a few more words to add. sjo...I have been told by someone special that praying to God is just talking to Him. It does not have to be eloquent "Help" is a good prayer and God hears that big word.

Good morning dear friends,

We learn the most from the hardest times in our lives.

"Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed."
1 Peter 4:12-13 (NIV)

Thanking God, that He is always present to give us the hope that we need to persevere.

Friends, We are going away Friday-Sunday, so I will not be on the computer during that time.

I will be thinking of all of you and praying for you.

Never lose hope...never lose faith...your reward will come.

Good morning God Thought friends.
I don't have a scripture this morning...I'm not good at that ...yet. Shoot.. I'm still trying to figure the ones out that you post daily.

Not sure who quoted this, but I like:

Laughter is the shock absorber that eases the blows of life.

Have a smiley day friends.

Dekrator... I must have been poking slowly on the puter.

Hi, I like your scripture. You have fun....Where you going?

Dear friends,

Thank you for your prayers. Today is better.

I am here alone in the house. (I told my husband to take his trip because I knew he would be upset if he had to cancel)

But I am not alone. I have all of you, and more importantly, I have the Lord my God.

MDW, I love the image of the dusty road. I will remember that my faith will sustain me.

Dekrator,
Thank you for the lovely prayer. I am going to print it out and keep it.

I am not at the point where I can welcome suffering, but I believe that I can endure it, with Gods help.

I will listen to songs and raise my spirit "above" the pain.. and remember that I am in God's arms.

Dear Sojo: I am surely thinking about you too... saying extra prayers. You are certainly not alone.

Thank you all for your encouragement. God is sooooo good! [bow]

I am short on time at the moment, will be able to write more later. Dekerator and Diane and 17 Hens... I am saying prayers for us all right now...

Lord, we give this day to you and we know that with your strength we can handle anything that comes our way... We praise you and we thank you... Our Father.

We are ALL in his Protective Arms... Lots of love--

Dekerator- so glad too that you had such a good appointment! That is so wonderful to have such a caring LLMD... a God thing for sure... Enjoy your weekend. You will be missed but I will be praying that it is a weekend of pure joy.... XOXO

Thanks MDW, Amelia, and sjo!!

Hi flutterby and Nellers...glad to see you here!

MDW,

Not sure if your computer works the same as mine, but...

I click on the youtube video/music I want to watch and when it is playing I click on "favorites" at the top left of my screen, and then click "add to favorites".

Your computer may be different.

Hi Friends,

This would have been much longer, and more eloquent LOL, and posted a while ago...but my computer screen blinked off and on and I lost it...but I (emphasis on "I") didn't lose it...if you know what I mean. Smile. There I go, obviously now I'm getting tired. Here goes again.

So much has happened since the last time I posted. Welcome to fluttery and nellers78!

Dekrator,

Listening to "I Can Only Imagine" right now. What a blessed hope...I can only imagine...WOW!

You are blucky (blessed + lucky) to have a caring and patient LLMD, and so thankful your appt went good. Great news!

Thanks for putting the youtube links together for all of us! (About "add to favorites" I've learned something new. Thanks for that too.)

That was a beautiful prayer for sjo, and the scriptures you posted "No fear" that's what our God gives us.

I have to admit...I have learned the most from the hard times, not that I wanted them or want them again. I've learned:

God is always with me!

God loves me with an everlasting love!

God is love, love never fails, God never fails!

God can turn anything around and use it for His glory!

Dekrator, praying you have a wonderful weekend, get some good rest, experience God's peace and joy, and your physical body is strengthened. Have fun too, with the people you are with!

Amelia,

So good to read your praise report!! We're seeing more and more praise reports on God Thought. Hallelooo!!

The good fight of faith...thank God...we don't fight it alone....EVER!

I love Beth Moore's teachings. She is a woman who has been through more than her share of pain and suffering and has come out the other side standing and shining.

Have any of you seem this experience Beth Moore had a the airport, "The Hair Brush". You will all be blessed!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xtk5WgzZcYA

sjo,

Sorry you've been having some bad days. That was probably a good idea for your dr to back off the abx. I have heard that Mepron can cause anxiety and encourage you to contact your dr. So glad that today is a better day.

Beautiful prayer you prayed, "help". AMEN! That is one thing I love about our Father. He is a loving God, and we can be set free from having to get all the words exactly right or say them just so. He sees our heart's desires, or needs even before we ask, and He answers to the "help" prayer. Peter is a great example "walking on the walker". I think God especially likes it when we KNOW that we need Him..."help" is one of those words.

You share, "I will Iisten to songs and raise my spirit 'above' the pain...and remember that I am in God's arms." When we're in His arms we move to His higher plain.

MDW

Thanks for sharing "Dusty road" been there, don't that. "Faith in the Lord will conquer your doubts" been there done that too-Thank God! Halleloo!!!!

What you shared, "Laughter is the shock absorber that eases the blows of life" yeah, probably because laughter does good like medicine the Bible says. Laughing is soooo good.

17hens

Always good to be reminded we are never alone.

fflutterby,

When I clicked the link you posted, I didn't know what it would be..."Praise You In the Storm." Awwww. This morning I was driving to work that song came on. No matter if it is rainy or sunny...He is worthy to be praised...yes, even in the storms. I really like the ending where it emphasizes "Where does my help come from?" "The Maker of Heaven and Earth" and you and me!

He does love us so!!!

nellers78,

With everything in this world changing like the shifting sand...it IS great that our Jesus IS the same yesterday, today, and forever...an almighty strong anchor!!! I've said it before...we CAN depend on Him.

I'm going to close tonight with Amelia's prayer above...it will be a good place for all of us to start in the morning:

"Lord, we give this day to you and we know that with your strength we can handle anything that comes our way... We praise you and we thank you... Our Father.

We are ALL in his Protective Arms... Lots of love--"

Yes, lots of love friends,
Rhonda

There is a saying in Oklahoma (said by Will Rogers) "If you don't like the weather, wait a minute."

This morning if you don't like how you are feeling...just wait a minute...it will change. Our God IS Healer!

"This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it." AMEN!

Rejoice!

Good morning friends,

Daisy.... I watched Beth Moore "The Hair Brush"
I tell you...I have not laughed this hard in the morning in a very long time. As you said,
I am very blessed by this story.

Amelia..... Perfect prayer to read and pray first thing this morning.

It is amazing how God does know what we need before our feet ever touch the floor.

Its Friday... Dekrator I am thinking of you this morning.
Family, here is Friday's scripture that our God Friend dekrator gave me; I think she would be pleased if I shared it with my whole God Thought Family because it's not just mine....

If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.
Philippians 2:1-4 (NIV)

Have a beautiful day friends,
Diane

ps...Daisy...AMEN to your AMEN!!! [Smile]

Good morning God friends!

daisy,

I enjoyed reading your posts. I am always in awe of your insightfulness.

Thank you for the prayers!

MDW,

I'm thinking of you also!

One thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 3:13-14 (NIV)

The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them.
Psalm 145:18-19 (NIV)

Live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
Ephesians 5:2 (NIV)

He answered: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'"
Luke 10:27 (NIV)

The LORD is my light and my salvation -- whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life -- of whom shall I be afraid?
Psalm 27:1 (NIV)

sooo happy I found this thread .

everyday I cry out to God to give me strenth and help to get through esch day or momment.

Plaese pray for me that I would find the right llmd for my situation. Cost is a big factor.

Some days i don't have enough energy to even think straight.

Thank God he is all sufficient!

Sprite.... Sooo happy you found this thread also.
I will pray for you. Hold On!

Daisy... What does "crown" mean?
Is "rejoice" between praise and worship?

I bought a new vacuum a weekend ago...hadn't touched it...daughter wanted to know why I have not thrown the old one away. I told her "if it's not broke don't fix it."
Daughter got tickled with me....Says I can't put anymore electrical tape on the cord.

Change is difficult for me ...I am so set in my ways....I'm learning.
You know what?.... I gave that new vacuum a try...It cleaned up real nice.

spite8,

Welcome! So glad you found us too. When you are feeling up to it, I encourage you to read past God Thoughts. There is a new thread each week.

Sorry you've been feeling so poorly. Lack of energy is a bummer.

Yes, you are in my prayers. May God lead you to the right LLMD and the protocol that is right for you. May God meet your financial need as well.

You still have your sense of humor as you shared, "Some days i don't have enough energy to even think straight." Humor will get you a long way.

Pryaing yet some good rest.

Oh, yes, our God is more than ENOUGH. Did you see that song posted above. Well, here it is again just in case,

"Enough" by Chris Tomlin

MDW,

"Crown" hmmm depends on the sentence and topic. Sometimes "crown" is a literal crown. The king has a crown on his head. Sometimes it refers to power. If I "lay my crown at the feet of Jesus" it is sympbolic that I surrender to His leadership. Picture of I am His servant.

You ask, "Is "rejoice" between praise and worship?" From my perspective it's like comparing Apples with Apples (Rome, Golden Delicious, Granny Smith, etc)each has its place. Also they can overlap, the way people make pies sometimes using several different kinds of apples.

"Change" that is too funny...everything is always changing...except Jesus. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Glad you tried the new vacuum. Cleaned up real nice...yeah, kinda like Jesus does...we get cleaned up real nice, or course, it's an ongoing process. What can I say? Thank You, Jesus!

Posted by MDW005 (Member # 22706) on :

Thats it daisy... that is the line I heared:
"lay my crown at the feet of Jesus" Thanks.

I have made several apple pies now... couldn't you have used "compared to nuts..walnut, pecan, brazil" [lol]
I get your apple point.

Daisy... Thank you so much. I have been sitting here "in" my computer screen this evening. I can't get enough of Beth Moore....I watched her God's purpose for you [1-6] and ready to start all over again. This lady kept my attention on every word and scripture she spoke about...Wow!!
more, more I kept saying to myself. I will watch it again so that I can get it soaked into my brain....but not tonight. Look what you have done to me!(I know I keep saying that). I hope that one day I will make you and God proud. Thank you so much Daisy for this wonderful night.

Are you and God tag teaming today?
----------------------------------
psst...Daisy....I'm back with another???
I was reading Proverbs 24 and well heres that #7
again Proverbs 24:16 for the righteous falls seven times and rises again, but the wicked stumble in times of calamity.
could you please explain this verse to me?

and this one 24:17 Do not rejoice when your enemy falls and let not your heart be glad when he stumbles.
Why not? Boy...just can't have any little bit of satisfaction huh?

Yipeeeeeee! The board is up and running!

Good morning friends!!

Time to catch up....

daisy,

I still have to go back and watch Hairbrush with Beth Moore, but I definitely will. I couldn't remember what it was called when the board was down.. [dizzy] [bonk]

sprite,

So happy you joined us here! I am praying for you!!!

Lord, please give sprite the strength she needs to get through each day.

Please guide her to the right LLMD and the right treatment for her.

Lord, please help sprite find the financial means she needs at this time.

Allow sprite to feel Your comfort and hope.

I pray this in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen

MDW,

I just re-read some posts from Friday. I am glad you shared the scripture with everyone.

I got a chuckle out of your vacuum cleaner story.

Backing up to the weekend....

We left on Friday to visit my husband's brother and family in MD.

It was 97 degrees there on Friday! We had a very nice dinner out on Friday evening.

On Saturday we went to Annapolis. It was our first time there. It is a beautiful city with the harbor, the boats, the quaint streets and brick sidewalks and all the little shops and restaurants.

There were many Navy men and women walking around in uniform since the Naval Academy is there.

On Sat eve, our 2 nephews came and we all went out on my brother-in-law's boat.

We docked at a restaurant and had a very nice dinner, then got back on the boat and went back to their house.

It was a beautiful 85+ degree day. I managed to avoid getting burned since I decided to wait until we returned to increase my doxy dose for that reason.

We went to church while there also. It felt like home since we had been to this church several times before when we visited in the past.

We returned home on Sunday.

I thought there would be many posts to read to see what I missed, and found the board to be down.... [Frown]

So friends....how have you been doing?? I missed all of you.

Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
Isaiah 40:28-31 (NIV)

Hi Daisy and Everybody,

So nice to read your posts!

Sprite, great to have you here with us!

MDW, wish you could show me how to make apple pie. Or better yet, wish I could eat yours [Smile]

Dekrator, glad you didn't burn and glad you had such a nice weekend away.

Does anyone know why the boards were down for so long? (and why are there no posts asking why?) I was begining withdrawal so I'm really glad lymenet is up!

17hens,

Hi!!!

I do not know for sure why the boards were down, but I was able to get on once for a couple minutes only, and then it went down again.

During that time, I read something about changes or upgrades and that the old posts would be archived.

So perhaps it was routine maintenance to keep the site running well.

Not sure if this is the case though.

I happened to catch that same screen one time that Dekrator saw. I'm glad that the site is running and whatever it was has been taken care of.

Dekrator,
Welcome back home. Sounds like you had a wonderful time on vacation. I can't believe it was 97 degrees in MD. It's a lot cooler than that here in Oklahoma. I think Fall has arrived.

Beth Moore is such a great communicator and so human like we are...just telling it like it is. I liked what you said, "I went from laughter to tears, back to laughter and then back to tears!!" How true, I did too. I especially liked the part where she asked the man if he knew Jesus and he responded yes. And she said, "Of course you do." God really did just want her to brush his hair as that was his need.

Thanks for sharing Isaiah 40:28:31. Hope in the Lord...we soar...AMEN!

MDW,
You ask about "Proverbs 24:16 for the righteous falls seven times and rises again, but the wicked stumble in times of calamity.
could you please explain this verse to me?"

The way I look at that verse, well, let me back up and say the Bible has some...like..."codes". Numbers are very significant "codes". The number 7 carries with it the idea of complete, full, all. So that in this Proverb the number 7 in completeness/fullness represents...every time...so that every time, not just literally 7 times, but every time a righteous person falls they get back up. We as Believers don't stay down when life's ups and downs happen. With God's help we do get back up, not saying it's always easy, but we do.

Here is an interesting translation "The Message", 15-16, "Don't interfere with good people's lives;
don't try to get the best of them.
No matter how many times you trip them up,
God-loyal people don't stay down long;
Soon they're up on their feet,
while the wicked end up flat on their faces."

Then you ask about, "24:17 Do not rejoice when your enemy falls and let not your heart be glad when he stumbles."

It is funny what you say, "Boy...just can't have any little bit of satisfaction huh?"

I'm going to quote from The Message again and verses

17-18, "Don't laugh when your enemy falls;
don't crow over his collapse.
God might see, and become very provoked,
and then take pity on his plight."

Do you catch it? Well, maybe this verse will help

Hebrews 10:30, "Dear friends, never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God. For the Scriptures say, 'I will take revenge; I will pay them back'" says the LORD."

God does not want us to take things into our own hands. He doesn't want us to gloat either. Is that clear as mud?

Blessings to all! Going to start a new God Thought now
