that is where the first killer infection happened, when we were on vacation and that is where i have my textbook photos of me with the textbook bullseye rash come from.
we went back there again 2 yrs later because it was the last place i remembered being happy and i was too confused to think of any place elst to go.
i'd be so curious to know how many lives were snuffed out because the vacationed on Nantucket Island. i tryed to post a "poll" but was told i was unautherized to do such.
anyone who can up for posting that poll?

Don't blame the Island! Blame those deer ticks that you didn't spot the evening after they got on you.
I used to trek down to the Islands a lot in the '70s to visit my sister. I still enjoy visiting the Vineyard on occasion. I just make sure I avoid all brush & tall grasses and do tick checks each night.
BTW, you wrote, "we went back [to Nantucket] because it was the last place [you] remembered being happy". Why so?
I find that pursuing happiness by 'relocating' yourself will almost always disappoint. Happiness is a state of mind & comes from within. You can work towards it wherever you may find yourself.

One part of the country that I always wanted to travel. That was before lyme & co. Today I just couldn't enjoy the beauty for fear of the ugly.
Then again I can't enjoy the beauty of Kentucky for the fear of the ugly. I see(in my mind) ticks in my mostly blacktop condo area.
Deer roam up and down our streets at nights. You can't get away from them.
