I was floored when I saw this!! Even though it's by the CDC, the fact that they list the # of confirmed cases is an indicator that Lyme is only on the rise in almost every state!

Looking at the possible cases.....I would double this number, since my ENTIRE family does NOT meet CDC criteria for having LYME just like many of you here!

Just found this data to be of interest and wanted to share!
If you see your state listed, and agree or disagree with the stats....would love to hear from ya!

Multiply those numbers by TEN. I think even the CDC estimates that only one in ten are diagnosed.

The numbers are very low. Reality check needed!

In my state, lyme is not "allowed" so they just don't count it.

Silverwolf reported hers here in Idaho but probably contracted it in Wa, or Ore, but her test was not CDC positive.

We also agree that multiplying by 10 is just the beginning.

We were all infected in GA in our backyard. The CDC does not count cases in GA. We are "false positives". No lyme here

That just p*sses me off more! They show Arkansas at -0-. Please....I'm laughing all the way to my LLMD!!! It's cause the docs aren't reporting it. This is sooooooo way off the nail head, they don't even know what they are doing. Arkansas is so full of it, it's as bad as Connecticut, but nobody bothers to test for it anymore cause they just call it 'tick fever' & put a bandaid on it for a while.

Connecticut had a massive decrease afer 2002. Must be reporting.

I read something the other day that indicated the CDC totals were FAR short of the 'probable' cases. They said to multiply the CDC # by FIFTY (50)!!
