I have been lower functioning than usual for a while now.

So, need to do a little day dreaming.

Imagining that I have a Van like camper. It has my clothes in it. Food. Rosie's dog food, etc.

A friend will be driving.

I have the funds for gas and insurance and campground fees.

We are going on a road trip.

Now, I just need to figure out where we are going. In my mind we will be visiting several places and taking it slow and easy.

How about you? Need to do a little day dreaming?

Hoping and wishing and praying again:

This time I am able to get up and take a shower and put clean clothes on...clothes that fit well.

Then clean up in the kitchen, vacuum, dust, get the clutter off of the bookshelves, clean the bathroom and set up the files.

I also wish I was able to color in a nature book or paint.

Sometimes (when we allow it!), God does all the work for us...

kam, I was so happy to see your pretty floral hippie camper at this fabulous park! You're so retro chic!

I met a bunch of sweet children near the lake yesterday, and we're meeting at the picnic tables for lunch and nature crafts. We like to use found objects to make collages. I have plenty of kid-safe glue, construction paper, intriguing seed pods, and few feathers from my parakeet.

Forget dusting! We'll get you dusty!

Would Rosie donate a few hairs from her chest or tail for our nature collages? One of the girls loves teeny pebbles in pinks & peach tones...

See you soon.

LOL Great imagination. I'll be back later to add to it when the brain comes back from lunch.

I think kam threw a line into the lake and is catching fish for our lunch! Thanks, kam! Let us know what you catch! Fishing is so relaxing...

Trout of course. And it was from a stream. Rainbow and Brown Trout. It is just good to be out there.

I am not good at cleaning the fish though so hoping you all know how to do that and cook it. HA!

Not good at getting it off the hook either.

Hey Kam,

I can cook and I can clean up afterwards, but.... I don't do the worm thing, taking the fish off the hook or cleaning the fish. If I do fish with some help...well look out because I am not very good at casting....I will catch the greens how about that.

Another happy day camping with kam and friends! Enjoyed your cheery faces around the breakfast table this morning. [Smile] The warm, red quinoa & blueberries looked beautiful in the hand-thrown pottery -- and tasted yummmmm!

Energized, I'll bait hooks and take the trout off fishing lines. No problem! Fish are beautiful creatures...

We've all got time & talents to share, and it's wonderful how everything falls into place...

MDW005, we're psyched to feast on the fresh air-brushed greens you'll prep along with kam's fresh trout. WOW!

I have the kids collecting spicebush cuttings for our spicebush tea.

Now, who's gonna clean these fish? Rosie's ready to clean up scraps! She's got an appetite after chasing waterbirds and entertaining us.

Hey, I'll clean the fish...no problem. I cleaned thousand as a child.

I'll bring plenty of paint and brushes and teach y'all how to paint the beautiful landscapes that we encounter. Painting is so relaxing and good for the soul.

How about a big bonfire tonight and s'mores???

Hey All!

BoxerMom and BoxerDad just pulled up in our (imaginary) truck towing our (imaginary) boat trailer. We brought canoes and kayaks and rafts!

Anyone for a sunset paddle?

BoxerDad also brought all his flyfishing equipment and camp cookware. He would love to pitch in on the fish. As he is a biologist, he will lead animal and plant ID hikes for anyone who is interested.

BoxerMom will fleece you all at cards! HA!

Sounds good! My husband & I love to go kayaking, we'll bring our own kayaks along! My husband is also an excellent fisherman and can help with catching/preparing the fish. A great hike would be awesome..we love to learn about different plants (particularly edible wild plants).. Then, after watching the sunset we can all sit around a campfire.
This sounds like an awesome trip!

Awww...and when we lay our heads down on soft pillows that smell faintly of wood smoke...we will sleep like babes breathing in the fresh outdoor air all night long...it will be nectar for our souls.

You folks are in charge of the fish catching. MOST bites I get are skeeter bites.

I will bring my fillet knife and we will make quick work of cleaning those tasty morsels.

I can bait a hook and take them off too,,,spent my whole youth with my grandpa in search of the big one.

His tackle box was a metal 5 gallon bucket and served as his seat also with addition of scrap board.

Lets go to Yellowstone,,swing up thru the Grand Tetons, Jackson Hole, Redwood forrests, Placerville and back thru Utah red rock, and Grand Canyon

set the date and were off!!!!!!!

The cool wind is like a rocking crib while we sleep under the stars. I brought my little dingy to go up and down the lake to pick fresh blueberries for all of us. I brought some organic rolled oats we can cook on the campfire in the old iron pot and then put the fresh blue berries on them...YUM !!!!!

I''m bringing Teddy the cockapoo as company for Miss Rosie. He loves to swim and to play, so he'll be great company.

I'm not gonna fish or bait the hook, but I'm one heck of a good cook: have to be (sadly) gluten free these days and off alcohol, so I'll bring cornmeal and some Cajun spices to bread the trout.

Fresh asparagus does sound good (had that for dinner tonight), but since we're dreaming, so do juicy, right-off-the-vine Jersey tomatoes.

I've also got my guitar in the back. Anybody like to sing?

Andie

Don -- I'm up for Yellowstone. I was just thinking today I'd love to do a road trip through the park.

Andie -- do you know any Eagles? I love me some Eagles around the camp fire -- that and old gospel songs.

You guys are all so much fun. Looking forward to some trout!

Dinner sounds wonderful but did I hear someone mention SMORES? Well, that's right up my alley!

I'll swing on over to Hershey Chocolate World and pick up a few boxes of Hershey's Chocolate Bars and then to Costco's for a big box of graham crackers and run to the grocery store for bags of marshmallows.

(Or I could just look in my cupboards to see if we have any left from this summer. We love smores around the campfire [Smile] )

I have some roasting sticks to bring too but not enough for everyone. Anyone have a pocket knife to wittle some more?

Wow. Love these mini mind vacations...especially this one. All my favorite things. I think we should get ready to go in the spring.

I can hear the loons on the lake now as we kayak at sunset and sunrise.

did you see that Eagle catch a trout? I wonder if he will share?

Most likely for his or her little ones.
