Wait till those Canadian blows come thru with 20 to 30 BELOW real temps
and I can recall minus 80 wind chills regularly when I was a youngun.
We can always stand colder temps than we wished for. Never say never.
Soon we will be complaining its too hot!!!

This morning with windchill it WAS below zero. We've been here for over 22 years and that was a first.
(We moved here from Minnesota...that happened every winter!)
Right now it is 16 degrees, feels like 10.
Tonight will go down to -1 degree.
Tomorrow up to 29 and SUN!!!!!
I'm planning on going to work in the morning.

in total agreement. this winter had been total hell. over 30 inches of snow. week apon week of the high temp being nowhere close to freezing. at least in the summer you can take the dog for a walk at 8 after dinner and its in the 70's.
its so cold i havent been outside for more than 1 min in MONTHS!
tack on everyone is sick all the time and clothing gets wet and dirty from the snow, etc, etc,
sorry for the rant, i just hate winter. hate it.
oh yeah another thing i hate about winter is carrying a coat everywhere! you have this bulky coat and then when you go to a movie or something you have to hold this massive thing on your lap or put it on the back of your chair at dinner and it falls off all the time and makes your back uncomfortable.
oh yeah and another thing, falling on the ice. my friend was helping her frind park and fell on the ice and banged up her knee and scrapped her hand. then another friend got in a small wreck because the roads are such crap!

Cabin fever is bad!! What I hate is not being able to get out because we are at the bottom of a hill. The snow gets icy and then "it's all over."

Beautiful pictures, Lymetoo! We've been suffering here as well. But I saw where Ponca City got to 35* BELOW zero with their wind chills! I never thought those kind of temperatures were possible until I moved to Michigan, and it got 50 below one winter. I hated it.
It's going to be in the 50's this weekend, and up to 72* next week! I can't wait. I've had enough of this cold and the snow. My son wants to go back to school!

For those who asked, the horse in the photo I posted is indeed mine. This was during the snow last week...he was excited because it was feeding time and chasing cows, too! It's all melted now.....gonna be near 60 today.

The one in the picture I posted is all fluffed up. He looks fat but perhaps is not.
It also says they are usually found in flocks in the winter. That is another thing I found unusual. You usually see them in groups. Not ONE robin by itself.
And according to that article, they don't get much food from feeders.. they find their own...somehow.
I saw this same robin (I presume) about a week before I took this photo.
