What a drag. They did this today and while I can't see it, smell it or taste it, I have dizziness, increased heart rate and sinus irritation.

I'm very chemically sensitive and avoid having anything toxic in the house and now they're piping it in.

Think I'll drink lots of water and take some clay and see if that helps.

Can you open the windows and air out the house?

Gasses from the sewer pipes should not be able to get into the house, as there should be a water filled "trap."

This is usually done to try and find leaks in the vents for the sewer pipes. If they are looking for this, maybe what you are smelling is not the smoke but the sewer gases. Hope they find the problem and fix it. Sewer gases can be dangerous as well as smelly.

And sometimes bathrooms that are not used can have the water in the trap evaporate, and that also lets sewer gases into the house. The solution is to flush the toilet, run water in the sink and/or tub occasionally if unused for a long time.

Thanks, I did air the house out and left for awhile. Feel mostly better now. But felt a bit high for most of the day, weird...
