That was fun to read. I found out about it through @Lymenews on Twitter.

This might actually be funny if I could eat brown rice OR sweet potatos!

Kidding. It's still funny. I love #8. And #1 is too true.

brown rice and sweet potatoes????

-------

my fav:

10. You have a pill holder bigger than your Grandma's.

i don't have a pill holder....that would not be big enough.

I have a crate on wheels .

I used to have a kitchen counter. Now it's a supplement shelf. When I need to chop, I take a cutting board to the living room.

Ridiculous.

Yeah, what is up with the "brown rice and sweet potatoes"? I stayed away from those my entire treatment!

Here's what I'd really like to learn: Why are sweet potatoes considered so safe? I would've thought they were too sugary.

Oooh, now I wanna have some! I haven't had sweet potatoes in over 6 months. They would be like candy for me now!

Yes you know it's bad when your supplements take over your kitchen counter.. esp when your kitchen is the size of a closet to begin with..

Those binders take up so much room too..

Or when your refrigerator has a row full of probiotics and then the top shelf is full of IV bags and Bicillin shots..

Actually, James. I do eat sweet potatoes and they are supposed to be safe. But I only eat them once a week. I never eat rice .. except in soups. (rare)

HA, Dogs.. a crate is a good idea!! [Big Grin]

I have mine in a "show-offs" box .. it has lid with a handle. I put it up in my kitchen cabinet, but I still have supplements all over my kitchen counter.

It doesnt matter what food i put, anything will fall into a bad catergory, except maybe brocolli. I mean it will either be acidic, starchy, wrong for your blood type, an allergy producer, full of gluten, sugary, have some form of wheat, yeast, mold, you get it....There is no safe diet. My llmd told me i could eat fish, sweet potatoes, and brown rice. Thats why I put that.

Glad you guys liked it, I guess we all have to laugh at ourselves, or our lives once in awhile to lighten things up. Humor is sooo important. [Wink]

Hi Lisa,
Your PM box is full! I wanted to send you something.

You know what really sucks? I wasn't thinking straight, and so I didn't even consider to save the message I was gonna send you! [Frown] Plus I was typing on my iPhone, so it was all super slow.

Hey Lisa -

We're not picking on you!!

Loved your post. We DO need humor.

And stick me in the NO FOOD category. Broccoli has sulfur compounds, and many of us can't metabolize sulfur. I barfed my broccoli for years before I figured out I couldn't tolerate cruciferous veggies.

My only safe food is celery.

Pathetic.

OH man, see...there is nothing safe when it comes to food!! Sorry you are going through that Boxermom!!!

James, I am sorry! Ugh...isnt that frustrating to lose a message. I will go clear my box. I havent been on here in so long i didnt even know it was full!! But thank you for sharing my picture..made me smile that someone "got it". [Smile]

Hahaha, did you scroll down to the bottom and watch the movie clip that someone made with the woman talking to her doctor about Lyme? I loved the part where he's talking about all of the drugs she should take because she doesn't have Lyme. Here's link to it directly:

That's great! Do you find yourselves raking all the supplements into the drawer when 'normal' folks are coming over?

I really liked 3 & 4 too.

Thanks James for making us laugh once again!

linky - YES! I do clear the counters for company. Some things about my "lifestyle" are just too embarrassing, and I don't want to explain, anyway.

BoxerMom,

I know how you feel. Even if you tried to explain they still wouldn't understand.

You just cant get it until you get it. I know that sounds cliche, but its so true. I mean we dont just get symptoms, we get weird symptoms, and they change constantly, so how can we NOT look like hypochondriacs? Well i guess we people who knew us when we were able to work and do things, should see the change in us, I dont get why they dont.
