Today people all across the nation went before the Throne of Grace on behalf of America. Today has been National Day of Prayer!

In 2 Chronicles 7:14 it reads, "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land."

May our faithful God hear and answer the many prayers.

Soon I will hit the hay. I wanted to pray this prayer for you. It is from Numbers 6:24-26,

"The Lord bless you and keep you;

the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you;

the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace."

Lord, may your name be upon your people...your mighty name, Jesus.
[bow]

Sleep well God Thought Friends.

I needed these verses this morning-Romans 8:28, 35, 37-39

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him who have been called according to his purpose.

Who/what shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Have a blessed weekend...we are loved with an everlasting love! Jesus, thank You!

Philippians 4 (v.6)
``Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God''

When you feel the tension mounting,
And across the busy day,
Only gloomy clouds are drifting
As you start to worry--pray! --Anon.

It's impossible to wring our hands when they are folded before God in prayer.

It is with a heavy heart that we ask you to pray for the family of Susan ______. This is my husband's cousin whose mother died two weeks ago. Susan leaves behind two children in their early 30's and 3 loving brothers.

I will hopefully take a peek at whats going on another day, but I would like to ask for prayer.

My mother had surgery on Tuesday, got out of hospital Thursday afternoon. This morning she was running 104 temp. and we called the ambulance and sent her back to hospital. She has pnemonia again from reflux and the fluid went into her lung. Now we are praying that she will get to come home by Sunday.

Could you please keep her in your prayers for me? Sorry to ask, pride gets in my way sometimes.

Thank you, Dekrator... I feel so sorry for her kids and her brothers. She was the youngest.

Sad day for me. This is what I posted on FB today:

To my Dad: You were the best dad a girl could ever want. You loved me, protected me, encouraged me. I'll never forget the little things, like how we shared lunches together when I was able to come home for lunch in elem school. How you baked the most awesome bread ever!

How you could make my pigtails look better than Mom could ..lol .. How you babied those strawberries you grew and cultivated our gardens. How hard you worked .. all the time, even when disabled. How you could build anything with wood and make it beautiful. And especially .. How you loved us all. Thank you. .. 6/7/16 - 5/5/93

So grateful to God above that I had a good dad.

Aww, Lymetoo, that is a wonderful tribute to your Dad. He must have been a great man. I am blessed to have a great Dad also.

So sorry that you are feeling sad on the anniversary of his passing.

God's promises are so awesome...imagine the day when you will see your Dad again. You will have much to talk about!

In the meantime, may you feel comforted and filled with His love.

Good morning God Thought friends,

"So we have known and believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and those who abide in love abide in God, and God abides in them. Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness on the day of judgment, because as he is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear; for fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not reached perfection in love. We love because God first loved us." 1 John 4:16-19

God is Love: The part of this wonderful teaching that I am always drawn to is verse 19: "We love because God loved us first." The ability to love is not something we are born with; the ability to love is a gift, something we are first shown, something we can then return.

Live this day into the fact that love is first a gift from God, and as you feel that love from God-all His heart, mind, soul, and strength for you--return the same to him and to others. Where love is shared, God is shared. This sharing is also fruit-bearing.

A Prayer: Set our hearts on firer with love for thee, O Christ our God, that in that flame we may love thee with all our heart, with all our mind, with all our soul, and with all our strength, and our neighbors as ourselves; so that, keeping thy commandments, we may glorify thee, the giver of all good gifts.

Blessed Lord's day
[group hug]
Thank you for prayers for my mum

God Thought Friends,

I enjoy living in Florida. My job transfer is going well. Great group of people to work with.

We have family here...but lately I've been missin' my family in Oklahoma (son, daughter-in-love, and 2 grandchildren)...and also been thinking about my Mom (Mother's Day being Sunday and all).

This morning, for some reason Isaiah 49:15 came to my mind,

``Can a mother forget the baby at her breast
and have no compassion on the child she has borne?

Though she may forget,
I will not forget you!"

I was thinking...when no one is around/or when everyone is gone...God is always with me. That is so awesome! [bow]

Prayers and thoughts of His love to you all.

Thank you so much, daisy!!! My SIL said Susan's funeral was one of the most uplifting funerals she had ever attended. I love funerals like that! So wish we could have been there!

Yes, I miss my mother and dad terribly. But I feel so blessed to have had them. So very blessed.

I do hope you can go back to OK at least twice a year. Do you think you can go that often? I pray you can .. or MORE often!

BLESSINGS to all!

OH... and PS... Caleb is doing GREAT and Gage's MRI was CLEAR!!! Two living miracles.

Prayer said for your mom MDW005, And for Susan's family lymetoo. Love what you said about your Dad! Made me think about how much I really miss my own.

Glad to know some of you provide prayer and faith support here. Very comforting.

MDW005, I like what you said about accepting God's love first before we can basically pass it on. I think I have been drawing from a dry well most of my life.

Having Lyme is finally causing me to really experience God's love for me, ( something that I had been severly underestimating! )

To be a Mother, [group hug]
To shelter and grow,
as a seed, giving every chance to be.
Mother's who's hands have done so much,
held so close and always open..
If your Mother was quite shy and afraid,
to share this bounty of life..?
Then I say onto you, pick up her hand,
and forgive her on this day.
for being a mother isn't a job,
Its a gift..
I remember the first time I was lost !
where had my mother gone ?
oh, just over an isle to get some milk,
wheu.. Thank God. -

Lymetoo, Isn't it amazing how funerals actually CAN be uplifting. God is our help in times of need...and He comes through so miraculously.

I thank God for my mom and dad. My dad is 83 and still alive. These later years of his life, I am sooooo enjoying him lots. He is blessed with good health and a good mind. Right now he and his wife are on a European cruise. The only family we have in Oklahoma is our son, daughter-in-love, and two grandchildren...and that's enough. [Smile] Lord willing, they will be here to Florida for Christmas!

Yeah for Caleb and Gage--MIRACLES!

Allsmiles, I rejoice that you are experiencing God's love. He loves you (and us) with an everlasting love. WOW!

payne, thanks for the comments on "Mothers" and the beautiful picture.

I am so blessed to be a mother, a grandmother, and a wife. How quickly the time is going by.

Happy Mother's Day to each mother who sees this. May God, our Father, bless you in a special way.
[group hug]

Hi friends, I've missed you. I've not been here much lately. I'm still struggling with pain from the fractures and am only able to sit up for a couple minutes at a time.

Will you please pray for me? I'm having surgery on Monday (5/14) @ 7:30am. They are going to repair 2 more of the fractured vertebrae (T9 and T10).

I have mixed emotions going into this. I really don't want to endure the pain of recovery again. Yet I so desperately need this surgery to fix and stabilize my fractured vertebrae.

The pain (of the fractures) has been unbearable, excruciating. It's starting to wear on me emotionally. I almost feel like I'm a prisoner in my own body. I can barely tolerate sitting for a few minutes and the pain is keeping me awake at night.

So, I really need this surgery to help. Afterwards 4 out of the 7 fractured vertebrae will be fixed.

Please pray for my doctor, that God will guide him in his thoughts and use his hands to treat me well. Please pray for the anesthesiologist, that she will medicate me properly so that I will not feel pain and that God will bless my nurses and the rest of the medical staff to take good care of me.

And please pray for me that God will use this surgery to help my body to heal. That He will prevent any complications. That he will help me to trust in him and not be afraid.

Thank you friends [Smile] You have been more than good to me.

Happy Mother's Day to all Moms and to all those who have been like a Mom to someone.

I am praying for everyone needs...healing, comfort, peace, etc.

I am especially praying for you, sammy dear. I can't imagine the agony you are going through.

God knows you are special and He is creating a very great perseverence in you that He will use powerfully in your life.

I pray for all the things that you ask, and more.

May you feel God's peace, that He knows the right plan for you and He will guide you down the path to healing.

I wish I could be there to help and support you, sammy.

Lots of love and prayers!!

Good morning all and happy Mother's day. I'd like to add this for wives also.
Proverbs 18:22 - Marriage Is A Gift From God.

Proverbs 18:22 (NLT) The man who finds a wife finds a treasure,
and he receives favor from the Lord.

Proverbs 18:22 (CWK) Whoever has a good wife has a treasure; he is favored by the Lord.

Prayers for all in need of Prayer and also for those who may think they don't. Sincere Prayers for all above requests. You all are great. Sammy, a special Prayer for you tomorrow. Remember to tell them before you go in about the anesthesia problem. I did and I had a great anesthesia experience if you want to call it that ha ha. I didn't wake up during the procedure. yay

Exodus 2-3

King James Version (KJV)

2 And the woman conceived, and bare a son: and when she saw him that he was a goodly child, she hid him three months.

3 And when she could not longer hide him, she took for him an ark of bulrushes, and daubed it with slime and with pitch, and put the child therein; and she laid it in the flags by the river's brink.

4 And his sister stood afar off, to wit what would be done to him.

5 And the daughter of Pharaoh came down to wash herself at the river; and her maidens walked along by the river's side; and when she saw the ark among the flags, she sent her maid to fetch it.

6 And when she had opened it, she saw the child: and, behold, the babe wept. And she had compassion on him, and said, This is one of the Hebrews' children.

7 Then said his sister to Pharaoh's daughter, Shall I go and call to thee a nurse of the Hebrew women, that she may nurse the child for thee?

8 And Pharaoh's daughter said to her, Go. And the maid went and called the child's mother.

9 And Pharaoh's daughter said unto her, Take this child away, and nurse it for me, and I will give thee thy wages. And the women took the child, and nursed it.

10 And the child grew, and she brought him unto Pharaoh's daughter, and he became her son. And she called his name Moses: and she said, Because I drew him out of the water.

Happy Monday to All,

sammy, Thank you for sharing your prayers concerns regarding your surgery. I pray that everything goes better than expected, that the surgery is successful, and that your recovery is smooth and fast. Jesus, You are the Great Physician, may Your healing touch be evident along this healing journey.

Decrator, Beautiful prayers and support for sammy.

Pocono, Thank you for sharing God's word. A little, make that BIG, reminder to me how God truly is in control! Praise His Name forever!

payne, WOW, that fits exactly with what God is speaking to my heart these days.

Our Great Conductor-Jesus-we praise Your Holy Name!

I had a wonderful Mother's Day. Our granddaughter, Lily, was dedicated to the Lord in a beautiful church service. Afterwards went to our son's home for BBQ steaks. Both my sons shared beautiful words with me...that I will forever cherish in my heart. Truly "family" is a gift from the Lord. [bow]
