Hello everyone,

I have been sick for two years, in treatment for 15 months. I began treating bart in earnest in March, and it has been the magic bullet in my healing.

I cannot say that I am 100% - I still get occasional twitches in my left thumb, my ribs still ache sometimes, and my stomach is less than what it used to be.

That being said, I would call myself 98%. Here's the proof:

Today, we hosted my daughter's 5th birthday. There were 13 kiddos here, running around, acting like pirates, for 3 hours. I planned the whole thing, down to making the cake. It was a great party, and everyone had a wonderful time.

The party itself is great, but what is "over the top" is that I ENJOYED myself - I enjoyed planning, prepping, making and decorating the cake, putting together favors, etc. And I didn't DREAD the event, as I had dreaded so many events.

It's been done for almost two hours, and I don't need to go lie down. I feel "normal" tired after a big party, but not "lyme" tired.

So, I am passing this on to encourage all of you who think that there is no end. I know that every success story has helped to keep me motivated. They have helped me take those pills, avoid sugar at all costs, and take care of myself.

I wish you all as fantastic a weekend as I am having.

Take care,
Rera2528

That is wonderful. I needed to hear that today on a day when my stamina is low.

Thanks for posting. Keeping fighting for that remaining 2%. You are almost cross the finish line.

Rera - Thanks so much for sharing this with us. You give me hope for my Mom, for whom I research and battle with other family members.

I have recently started to suspect that my Mom may have Bartonella, on top of the undertreated Lyme that was diagnosed three years ago. She has never been tested for any co-infections.

Hearing that you feel so much better now, in such a short time after beginning to treat for Bart, is very encouraging.

Can you tell us what antibiotic you were placed on to make this difference?

May you get to 100%! Thanks, and God Bless!

Thank you all for your kind replies.

AuntyLynn, I started rifampin, mixed with several other abx. If you want to know the exact protocol, I can pm you. The rifampin is what has helped.

Good luck to all of you!

Wow! glad to hear that.

I have been treating since January. I'm now able to do some things, but still have fatigue afterward and brain fog.

But it is not as severe as it was.

But I have been sick with Lyme since 1996.

So I consider this progress.
