Hi everyone,

I've missed coming to the site, but I have been moving and getting set up in our new home! Yes, we finally bought a home, and got moved in and settled. We had to do some painting and cleaning but no major work was needed, except we had the roof redone, (that was part of the contract).

We are all very happy in our home and I am grateful and amazed at every turn. The neighborhood is nice and I have really enjoyed knowing that in 7 years we hope to have it paid off. Yes! If all else fails it will be 15 years, but we have a plan for a payoff in 7 and so far so good with it.

I wanted to thank everyone for their support on here. Since I haven't been making the trips to PA to see my llmd, my dd and I are doing ok but I fear it won't last. I did find a new pcp and of course she took me off my abx, after doing her "lyme titer" test. As did the neurologist she sent me to. He is still looking for the cause of my neuropathy. After 20 tubes of blood (nearly) he didn't find anything except low B2 or riboflavin. He told me take that for 6 mo and come back to see if I was any better. Now, I'm no genius but I don't see that doing much.

THe best part about his visits (including another EMG) were his laughter @ my llmd for rx'ing abx and vitamins....then a few months later his only advice is ONE vitamin!! hilarious. I even gave him that look that said "really?"..never saying anything though about it.

I'm sure I will need abx in the future but for now all is well and I feel like my liver and body in general maybe just needed a break for a bit.

I did find out that I have 2 growths on my thyroid on each side. I go back in a couple weeks to have that checked again to see if they've grown. Also, found out that my cholesterol isn't high but my triglycerides are..she (doc) thinks it's genetic and gave me a pill to take for that.
I think it's good to get some of this other stuff done while I'm on my abx break. If any of these docs thought I was taking all those abx they would freak out anyway. (I remember)
I also need to make an appt. to see the dentist during this time as well! can't forget my teeth.

When I'm seeing an llmd it seems all I have energy, time, or money to attend to is them and what they rx..

Just thought I would drop in and say hi! let you all know I hadn't fallen off the earth or anything. I miss seeing you..maybe once school starts back I'll have time to check in more.

Wishing everyone a peaceful rest of the summer!

That all sounds very hopeful, twicebitten! Congrats on the new house!!

I hope you were treated long enough to have knocked this out!

PS.. high triglycerides can come from eating a high amount of sugar or carbs.

Congratulations on your house! I am so happy for you and to pay it off in 15 years - that is even a better accomplishment....

You might feel a little better giving yourself a break. Your body will tell you what you need to do. Always trust your body!

Keep going and enjoy!!

better be careful of the pill she gave you for your high triglycerides...if it is a statin you should study about that...i ended up in a walker from lipitor

Hey guys thanks for the comments. The doc thinks my triglyceride problem is genetic and not diet related.
I don't think the pill is a statin, as it's not a cholesterol pill at all just for tri. It hasn't caused me any ill effects that I know of but I will keep aware.
Dogs, we were trying to use my retirement money (I worked for the state for almost 10 years) to buy a house outright. We found a few, but lost any that we felt were worth the money. We finally decided we were going to have to get a small loan to cover going up in price some. There's some work we aren't capable of doing. It didn't take too long to find this house once we got approved for the loan. It's a fairly small one, but fits our needs fine. Not fancy, but hey we can feel comfortable and in time (once is paid for) we can do a little remodeling as well. Built in 1962, and some of it is still original, but well maintained.
Ipk and lymetoo, you guys are such great people, I do hope things are well with you both.
I will stop in every chance I get. Trying to get my younger child back in school...a different school at that..
Take care all my ln friends!
