There are so many tough things we all experience surrounding lyme, I thought I'd pass on a piece of good news...
My kids have all gone to the same preschool...this is our last year with my youngest son. Last year the teachers and director watched in horror as my health deteriorated such that I could barely walk, think, or function.
Today I went to set up a payment plan for tuition (because of the financial strain my healthcare has caused), and the Director of the school waived 30% of the costs for the semester. It was such a generous and unexpected gesture that I had tears in my eyes.
I'm so grateful for those who understand.... and even more grateful for those who don't understand, but believe in us, and care enough to do such a nice thing anyway...

May I share a story from today also? Unrelated to Lyme, but nice.
I've been having trouble with my feet (long story) and I finally ordered expensive custom orthotics about 6 wks ago. They did the mold, then sent them off.
After I got them I wore them about a week. A week or so later, I went back to the place (in more pain) and they tried to "soften them up" for me.
A few weeks later, I wore them too much and my feet got worse (didn't think it was possible). I went back again today and the man who works on prosthetics came in and said, "OK, we're going to start over. I'm going to do the forms again and I'll make them myself." Off he went to get them.
I almost began to cry, I was go grateful. So when he came back I told him I was about to cry because I was so grateful to him for trying to make these right so I could walk again without so much pain. I nearly lost it.
We had a nice conversation about it and I should have the new ones in about 10 days.
Thank you, God. I'm so glad I prayed for this man to "do it right" for me. I pray that God blesses him immensely.

In the case of the foot specialist, that is what all professionals are supposed to do - make it right, no matter what. It's just great to see one who knows that. -

Network: Leno took 50% pay cut to reduce 'Tonight Show' layoffs

(CNN) -- Jay Leno took one for the team, in the form of a $15 million pay cut, to protect the staff of NBC's "The Tonight Show" from further cuts.

It's nice to hear of the good things out there. It's often challenging to see the positive when we're in pain, confused, frustrated, misunderstood... the list goes on. But there ARE people willing to go the extra mile sometimes. And often they are the ones we'd least expect.

Yesterday I was 45 minutes away from home when my brake line blew. My brother-in-law's automotive shop was nearby.
I stopped in and they fixed it for me. Took a vehicle off the lift and did mine instead. Their schedule was full and they were busy.
A friend picked me up & brought me back when my vehicle was ready to go.
Here's a couple people who deserve a special blessing for helping someone!!

Every now and then someone comes along who restores our faith in the human race.
A few years ago, we decided to change schools. There were two that we were considering.
We met with the principal at both schools. From one guy, we got the usual ignorance and hostility that comes when trying to explain issues regarding lyme.
The principal at the other school was just the opposite and even said, "we can excuse them from P.E. class if you like." I just about fell over.
