Been lurking for a while. I was good for about 2 years-undertreated and relapsed.
Now I think I have babs again-can you get rid of it if you undertreated it twice before?
I'm on a much stronger combo now.
Feeling like I'll never get over this.
I'm hot, really tired, achy and depressed. Every afternoon I crash and sleep for 2 hours- not sure if it's lyme, bart or babs.

Shoney, I have enough cr*p in my body and sleeping for 2 hours only, let's just say on a lot of occasions I have been an OtrJ Van Winkle. I hate the 4:00 pm cool down before my fever starts climbing. Stay with the regimen and don't be too hard on yourself-- let your body do the ups and downs. This isn't the flu that you get over or a lung infection that lasts and you get better. Tell your doc about the depression, it is a symptom too of the lyme and co infections. Have a cup of tea and take care

Hi shoney. Welcome. Happy you found LymeNet but sorry you arer feeling bad. The ups and downs are so hard.
Just remember you are feeling bad cause you are now attacking the buggers.
Give into it, allow yourself to be sick, embrace sleeping. and just nurture yourself right now while the abx do their job.

If the depression is bad and if you are taking Mepron, tell your doctor (tell him/her anyway). Mepron can cause bad depression, although not in everyone.
Feel better---although we all know that we usually feel worse before we fell better.

So sorry you are going through this again. Babs is tough. Whenever I had to nap in the afternoon it was due to yeast.

I get the same way when I try to treat babesia. it's very difficult. Detox, lemon water, rest. Im not sure if there's an answer. I had to stop and go to artemesenin and cryptolepis instead, I just couldnt handle the mepron if thats what your on.
By week four I felt the most unbelievable depression I've ever had, it really did a number on my central nervous system. I could hardly get out of bed, and I work so that was fun.
Be careful to let your doctor know how your feeling, if it get's too bad just know within a day or two of going off it you feel that heavyness lift.
