In our rural community, it is often difficult to discuss Lyme or other tick borne diseases unless you run into a patient.Doctors know almost nothing and many have no idea of any symptoms except fatique or muscle weakness and rashes. Today, I had a meeting with a college professor regarding an upcoming community college project and she was a friend of Dr.J. It was a joy and relief to stumble on someone so knowledgable but then she left and I thought to myself, it would even be better if no one ever had to deal with this Hell, let alone understand it.
We have not won this battle but my daughter has fallen in love and married and has a stepson. Things I thought Lyme would prevent...and she is almost 26 and alive. We have personally done battle with a killer monster and so far may be crawling further away from the battlefield. Well, with her, I now have some positive bands. ugh..Hope all of my old friends are doing ok. hugs..lmt

I remember your previous posts about your daughter.
I'm happy for her, and I hope things continue to go well.

Are you having symptoms?

Breaking this up for easier reading -

Yeah, I know the feeling - I usually wonder just how it is that someone actually knows, and I ask them! Usually they know someone with it.

Btw, re those doctors, because I do know what's going on, I don't shut up with them - I tell them and then tell their staff, so they can't say they never heard about it.
