Anyone here have a sleep number bed that's older than 5 - 7 years or so? If so, you might want to check it for mold underneath the foam.

There are videos online, showing you how to check for this.

Mine is 10 years old but we have moved so much during that time. It has been taken apart and put together and there is no sign of mold in or around the any part of the mattress or tubes.

I can't sleep on anything else!!!!!

faithful, I am glad you have not had a problems with yours! Maybe taking it apart and putting it back together was actually good for the bed!

Might also be more of a problem in high humidity states.

Yes! That's a good point. My mother lives in a very humid state.

I love my sleep number bed and couldn't imagine not having one! We have never had any mold issues.

kids, Have you ever pulled back the foam to check for mold? How old is yours?

The best kind of bedding is the natural one, not made from synthetic chemicals. After all, we spend 1/3 of our lives on our beds!

Here are some links, if interested. These items are not inexpensive, but worth it if one can afford them. I would love to get a natural bed, but we just can't afford one.

Note: I am in no way associated with these companies, just looking for a healthy alternative.
