Read all about it, first. A few have experienced a rash at the beginning so read about that, just in case.
I have tried other brands of Lomatium dissectum but they are NOT the same, no where near the quality and effectiveness of the real LDM-100. Best source is through Barlow Herbs, though a few other trusted vendors carry this same brand with the exact label.
I would not trust it from just any place, though, even with that label. Be sure of who is selling this so it's the real deal.
Excellent to use at the very first sign of a cold or flu or any sinus / respiratory symptoms. Ohsa Root extract is often combined for a throat spray (Eclectic brand).
The straight LDM-100 - in at least 1/2 cup of warm (not hot) water can pack a punch, it's the most effective tincture I've encountered.
There is at least one LL ND who has included this in with tick-borne infections information as being helpful. I don't recall who that is or where I read it and seem not to have filed in my notes, though, at least not under this herb name.

- There have been other posts about this but a search of the exact name (LDM-100) brought up nothing in the subject line of either medical or general forums.
And I really thought I'd already done a basic links set and posted it before (a year or so ago?). But I find no trace to that, anywhere. -

Thanks for your search. Odd how one of those had LDM-100 in the subject bar but zero came up when I did a search. The other with that in the subject bar just did not have the hyphen, so that would have been missed.

I decided to do a search leaving the - out.
LDM 100 (not) LDM-100. Maybe that's why it cam up, not 100% sure.

I've gone through 1.5 bottles of LDM-100 and will be doing at least one more. In my last blood analysis candia was less than half. But I was also rifing for candida, taking Nutrasilver and had cut out almost all sugar and dense carb products.
My doc insists that I stay on it. I take two droppers in a 1/4 cup of hot water. Heat burns off the alcohol a little..... i started out on only half a dropper until I was sure I wouldn't get the rash.

- When considering herbal / nutritional / adjunct methods:
if at all possible - because each person & each case is different - it's best to consult with an ILADS-educated LL ND (lyme literate naturopathic doctor) (or similar) who has completed four years of post-graduate medical education in the field of herbal and nutritional medicine -
- and someone who is current with ILADS' research & presentations, past and present, and has completed the ILADS Physician Training Program (see: www.ilads.org )
Many LL NDs incorporate antibiotics (depending upon the licensing laws in their state). Some LLMDs and LL NDs have good working relationships.
When possible, it's great to have both a LLMD and LL ND and even better when they have a long-standing professional relationship.
Be aware that integrative doctors can have various levels of formal herbal &/or nutritional education, perhaps even just a short course. Do ask first. Some have learned on their own from experts in the field. There are many ways to acquire knowledge and most are eager to share basic details about their training. You want someone with a deep knowledge.
Some of the specialities above may not actually treat lyme yet, for things such as physical adjustments, it is just good that they are also LL, at least to some degree (to know never to suddenly twist the neck or spine).

Understanding of the importance of addressing the infection(s) fully head-on with specific measures from all corners of medicine;
knowing which supplements have direct impact, which are only support and which are both.

Yes, as this is a ROOT tincture, it can be added to a cup of hot water.
For other tinctures, if any parts are from above ground (aerial parts, twigs, bark, buds, leaves, flowers, etc). do NOT use hot water. Go for warm. Hot water can totally destroy some of the medicinal properties of plant tinctures made from aerial parts. -
