Just caught my first bag of hemp seed from Costco. Oh my goodness are they yummy! Very soft to chew and will be amazing on gluten free oatmeal, kefir/yogurt and in recipes that you want to jazz up add good protein & fats; rice for a nuttier flavor as an example.

I can already see myself using it as an addition to the loaf of banana bread I stopped making because of the lack of nutritional value with so much sugar, and using gf flours s grand holiday treat for myself that I've denied myself.

Almost has the taste of sunflower seeds, but more the size of small sesame seed.

The good/bad omega ratios are in synch.

I have also just become allergic to walnuts (only nut so far) however, hemp has not been reported as a common nut allergy even if you're allergic to other nuts. (keep your epipen ready just in case tho).

My Protein has been low on labs and having had gastric bypass 11 years ago, and my digestion of protein is hindered. I imagine it may help with some of my gastroparesis/constipation as well.

The nutritional facts are really good and the health benefits fit what I believe I need in addition to what supplements I am already taking.

Just thought I would add a yummy, good nutritional value by offering this topic up for perusal again.

I use hemp seeds. They are easy to make nut milks with for smoothies or chia pudding. They don't have to be strained like almond milk.
