When I say "I Believe In God" I'm not just saying that I believe He "exists." The belief that God exists is no more beneficial to me than to the demons in Hell who also believe He exists (You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that--and shudder. James 2:19).

No! When I say "I Believe in God" it's much more than that. I believe that He loves me, that He is for me, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. I believe that He is working things out in my life, so my belief in Him leads me to put my life in His hands. I guess you could substitute the word TRUST for BELIEVE, because that is what I mean when I say "I Believe in God."

When I stand before God on Judgement Day I will see with my eyes the One I believed in with my heart…more importantly, I will see the One that I trusted with my life.

Hebrews 11:6
He that comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Agreed. Belief in God is more than mental assent. It is an abiding trust that is given no matter what.

We walk by faith and not by sight.

That trust must translate into action. Because I trust in God, I don't have to be afraid, I don't have to be angry or jealous, or resentful.

When my actions indicate that I don't trust Him, I stop and go back to the point of mistrust and pick up that shield of faith that I dropped and carry on.

For those who need to be reassured of Him and for those who want to encouraged that He is so near.

Good morning God thought family,

I am having laptop issues. I think it's time for a new computer. So if I have problems please understand this is why I will bounce in and out. I could use my cell phone...yeah, that will work.

Dekrator....thank you!

Soccermama....I will look at you link later this eve as I have a super busy day in front of me.

One of my favorite verses:

Matthew 6:26 New International Version (NIV)

26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?

Blessed day!

Well, I cooked much food last night and this morning, but Father God had different plans. He is the One in control. Tomorrow is the day I will serve instead of this day "I" planned.

Soccermama...wow! that was a powerful preview. I have never heard of Mohler...I don't think???? His preview reminded me though of something I read from Oswald Chambers:

"He took the twelve aside...." Luke 18:31

Oh. the bravery of God in trusting us! Do you say, "But he has been unwise to choose me, because there is nothing good in me and I have no value?"

God's friendship is with people who know their poverty. as Christians we are not here for our own purpose at all---we are here for His purpose of God. That is all God asks of us to give our attention to, and it is the one thing that is continually under attack. It's not what we bring with us, but of what God puts in us.

Good eve God Thought Family,

I just got home from attending Wed. night lady's Bible study and I am super exhausted, but would like to share. As some of you know, I minister to the Fatherless in a slum area of Atlanta. The Lord blessed me a couple years ago with a ministry serving prostitutes, alcoholics, drug addicts, drug dealers and poverty stricken folks.

I posted today a very special blessing I received and would enjoy sharing with you (and I am tired as I said) so I will copy and paste. May this story bless you. Good night, Zzzzzz:

The asphalt felt like 150 degrees as I stood in the baking sun. Oh Lord, I did not want to have sopping, sticky hair nor did I want make-up melting and rolling into my eyes as salty sweat poured....but, I desired to be with the peoples that our Lord brought into my life this day.

Something happened today...more blessed than the usual. After many men, women, and children came to my table for serving, an older gentleman approached and spoke of the blessing I am to him and all the people. We had a beautiful conversation and my heart was blessed deeply by him. I will share his life story in a few paragraphs. It goes like this:

I asked the gentleman if he would share with me some of the dangers he has faced in his life that Amazing Grace saved him from. He said "Well, I've been shot 3 times, once in the side (through his right lung), once in my shoulder and right arm (the bullet is still lodged in his muscle), and once in the leg, and I've had my throat slit by a drunk who had a straight razor (he almost bled to death), and I've been in and out of prison for almost 30 years." He showed me the scars as visuals to his story.

I asked him what made him decide to change his drug addiction lifestyle. Oddly enough none of the things that he had just shared with me was the catalyst to bring about the change he needed in his life. But, when he saw his nephew, whom he loved and helped raise years earlier, raising up two young sons of his own, he realized that he didn't have any meaningful relationships in his life. The only relationship he had ever known was with drugs and alcohol. He realized that his heart was empty.

I said to the man "Isn't it interesting that a bullet touched your lungs, but it didn't make you want to change…and a knife touched your throat, but it didn't make you want to change…but then something touched your heart and that's what brought about the change in your life." A man can go through lots of physical pain and suffering without it ever affecting a change in him…but if his heart is touched, that will make all the difference.

So if you're praying right now for a loved one who is going down the wrong path, pray that their heart will be touched. They don't have to hit rock bottom before they want to change…something just needs to touch their empty, searching heart…and God specializes in doing that.

"If you can'?" said Jesus. "Everything is possible for him who believes." Immediately the boy's father exclaimed, "I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!" Mark 9:23-24

I hear His whisper...

You are not the child of a stranger. You are My precious and special child. I have called you by name and you are Mine.

Others may see your failures, I see your radiance and the beauty of your love. I have made a nest for you in the hollow of My hand. I have not taken you to Myself so that you would never feel pain-- but I have taken you into My heart so that pain would never define you or defile you.

I am your strength, for My presence with you is more than enough to overcome what may appear to defeat you. My arm is outstretched to fight

for you this day, for I am the Champion to those with no strength and the Hero for the defenseless. I have not called you to strive, but to rest-- not to attempt to win a victory in your own strength, but to lean into Mine.

Before this week is over I will reveal My relentless courage to stand with you and make you victorious. Grasp My hand and be fearless, for you cannot see yet what great thing I will do for you to bring you into overcoming grace. I have taken you and chosen you with great delight, now find all your delight in Me and watch Me open the path for you!

Beautiful ministry you have, MDW, and a beautiful person of God you are, inside and out.

I am blessed by all that you have shared.

Some good news: My grandson has been having lots of problems due to the stress of his parents' divorce and the strained relationship that led up to it.

He was suffering from severe adrenal fatigue, gut dysbiosis, and other imbalances that were affecting him in many ways.

We took the Naturopathic route and he is getting much better. He continues on supplements and is doing soooo much better than he was even a couple months ago.

Thank you, Lord, for answering my prayers for my dear grandson. [bow]

Dekrator..... I am praising the Lord with you. We have a loving, healing Father God. I am so grateful the grandchildren have you. You are a special lady. So sad that we live in such a broken world and the children suffer from grown-up' disappointments. Thankfully there are special people the Lord brings into their life to help make the blows more gentle and loving to get them through.

A verse comes to mind when I read your thoughts:

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4.

You are a blessing to those children and us Dekrator! Thank you for sharing.
