If you are seeking inspiration, healing or hope, Paris in Oakland is the book for you.

Paris in Oakland. From the author...

It is a story of hope following my daughter's battle with Lyme disease. I wrote it in order to provide encouragement to others still in the fight.

Below is information about the book, as well as a link to my recent blog post on lymedisease.org.

Paris in Oakland
"A deeply divided medical community left my daughter bedridden and fighting for her life in the pediatric intensive care unit."

Here is what people are saying about
Paris in Oakland:

“I couldn’t put it down.” -Laurie P.

“… [a] little gem of a book." -Amazon Reviewer

"This is a concise but compelling account of a mother fighting for her daughter's life...I would call it a war story and a love story all wrapped into one.” -Robin H.

“… an inspiring account of faith, bravery, and love.” -Amazon Reviewer

About the Book: Every so often, a story of hope makes it's way into a hurting World. Paris in Oakland is that story.

Follow Katherine and her mother, Eliza, as they navigate a medical nightmare seeking treatment for Katherine's Lyme disease.

Never imagining an illness could be controversial, Katherine and her mother find themselves caught in the middle of a deeply divided medical community.

This proves to be dangerous medicine, leaving young Katherine bedridden, in constant pain and ultimately finding for her life in the pediatric intensive care unit.

From the pen of documentary filmmaker Eliza Hemenway, Paris in Oakland not only exposes the injustices of Lyme disease, but is also a story of faith and a compelling read for anyone suffering sickness or caught in circumstances beyond their control.

Hmm, people making money off of just telling people my life story????? Just to say that they understand my suffering. Another book? Just heard Yolanda Foster is writing one on Lyme Disease.....what they heck is she going to say that would be worthwhile to me? If she's cured, great. But thinking you're an expert to write a book takes a lot of brass and money and the payoff to the sufferers with no cure? "there there', we understand". That will be $16.50 please.

(Just from someone who has read too many get well/feel good books that really don't matter.

Sorry...having a bad day and fell upon this post. Guess if I wrote about how bad it is, but that I am still alive, I should write one! [Razz]

Keebler- to one who helps us all, always.... you are welcome.

Great Norcal! Hope it is a good one! Please lettuce no!

I do want to mention, the wording above in my post is from the author, not me. Maybe I should have made that more clear? (Here come TuTu with an English lesson. OK, ok- CLEARER, not more clear.)

Hey HWW- my goodness! Sorry to see that you are having tuff times. (Everybody hide your children and pets. Sounds like HWW may be wanting to take a bite out of their leg.) HA!

[lol]

I know the feeling though. I am so sorry you are feeling the pinch. Hope since you wrote that you are doing better.

If not, my left leg is available for you to chew on. But, only for you!

[Big Grin]

PS You'll be in my prayers. (Actually you already are, but an extra one for you tonight.)
