I've been using Cannabis oils and Hemp oils the last few months!

Rick Simpson Oil is great, it definitely has some anti-inflammatory properties, but... It makes you woozy and tired, hence the THC...

But oh my God!!!!!! Special FX Labs CO2 CBD Oil in the Syringe form, absolutely amazing. Takes all the pain away, plus gives you hella energy!!

I also bought the Special FX tincture form, for me it gave me knuckle pain. I think it's due to the other ingredients in it, could be the vegetable glycerin or the (Hemp Oil) Stem and Stalk.

But for some reason, the tincture gives me knuckle pain in my fingers. the Syringe form in the purest form does not!

Remind you, I'm very sensitive to corn and gluten, which will also give me knuckle pain and joint pain.

I'm assuming this company might keep in some THC, just to give it some balance, but I don't know. All I know is you can only get it from medical Marijuana dispenseries in Michigan.

And honestly, the stuff you guys buy on the internet, such as Bluebird Botanicals probably doesn't compare! This stuff is so super hard to come by!

My girlfriend and I drove out to Ann Arbor, I couldn't find a dispensary that carries this particular brand. And one of the bud tenders told my girlfriend they don't do syringe form because it scares the patients.

Pisses me off, because syringe form is the best way to go, because it has no other ingredients.

I first got a hold of Special FX Labs CO2 CBD Oil when my girlfriend brought back from a dispenseray in Detroit. Guess what, after the city introduced some new rule, the police raided the dispensaries and got rid of all the edibles, including the oils.

Good article here about it
ttp://www.metrotimes.com/Blogs/archives/2016/02/26/new-detroit-marijuana-dispensary-laws-set-to-take-effect

This is the problem, as always...

"The problem, as some see it, is that Councilman Tate represents a district filled with nice little old church ladies who, for better or for worse, simply don’t understand medical marijuana,

and are likely to conflate the dispensaries with drug dealers, and the healing medicine with street narcotics."

People that don't understand a plant and call it a street narcotic, pisses me off. The kicker here is, the form I'm using probably doesn't even have much THC in it and it gives you energy and does not make you high.

All I know is, this Special FX Labs CO2 CBD Oil is super potent, I wont try another brand. I never had a supplement that takes down inflammation within seconds, I mean seconds! And it stays there for hours!!!

It probably does kill borrelia bacteria, but biofilms(persister cells) I'm skeptical. But according to this article. Dr. M is having great success with it...

http://www.medicaljane.com/2015/05/22/doctor-believes-cannabidiol-paste-could-be-a-potential-cure-for-lyme-disease/

I've tried every supplement known to man, including all the biofilm busters and Artemisinin, nothing compares to this Special FX Labs CO2 CBD Oil. This company has been in business since 2008 and knows what they are doing!!!

And honestly, there could be more going on about the current rule and raids in Detroit, the pain pill industry is a multi-billion dollar industry. If something comes along and is going to tamper with that, it could definitely put a dent in the 1% wallets.

I went out of my way for Jordana to write this, as she probably expected that I don't really take natural supplements and believe in them, I do
http://flash.lymenet.org/ubb/ultimatebb.php/topic/3/36017

But what I've read with the John Hopkins study, it took chemo to completely eradicate persister cells in vitro. More we understand how resilient this bacteria is, more we understand most natural supplements aren't going to actual work or cure chronic lyme.

I hope CBD oil is one of the natural supplements that can help get us patients to 100%, so far I'm highly impressed with the anti-inflammatory effects, killing persister cells is another thing.

Yesterday, I fished for 7 hours(casting, not bobber fishing), afterwards I lifted weights for 2 hours and then stayed up till 4am doing laundry. This stuff is like adrenaline!!!! Remind you, on the ride back from the Detroit River, 4-5 foot waves and I have motion sickness!!!

Yes, this stuff might actually help with motion sickness!

Hope this helps!

I REALLY want to try authentic CBD at some point but I'm only in my first month of treatment.

This was a rough week, spent most of it sleeping and staring. Whatever you're doing, your quality of life is a whole lot better than mine at the moment [Smile] .

Well definitely give Bluebird Botanicals a try Jordana, I tend to think the dispensaries are going to have stronger stuff, but who knows until ya try it for pain.

Pulsing garlique, the brand at wallmart, I think helped me paired up with flagyl with pain too. Thins your blood out! May possibly hit the biofilms too, but skeptical.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21446865

Nattokinase, lumbrokinase, and lot of the other supposed biofilm buster are waste of time and money in my opinion.

Just like everyone else on here, I went 3 years of hell, it takes time for the traditional oral antibiotics to work. They are super slow, as do natural supplements.

With CZ-1-99, I really hope it can speed things up for you and others if it hits the market later this year...

Out of all the stuff I think that helped me... Garlic and Flagyl, paired up with other antibiotics helped me the most. I would take super high doses though, like 7-8 pills of garlique with my antibiotics.

I would push my body doing rollerblading and walking, since cardio can really move these abx drugs and supplements in your blood, even when my joints were completely on fire and I had no energy.

Again, no cure with this natural supplement, just as slow as the antibiotics. But somewhere in there, like within a weeks time I felt one hell of a difference with flagyl and garlique.

But it's nowhere near a cure... It put a big dent, but just like anything else, it all wears off when you come off the antibacterial drugs and supplements, the bacteria keeps coming back!

5 years, 90% there, but who knows how deeply embeded this bacteria is still in my body. I wasn't that bad with Lyme until I got on antibiotics, for some reason, like a lot of people say it pisses off the bacteria.

That's why I assume oral antibiotics are worthless if we're looking for a cure, a good intravenous antibiotic with a biofilm buster is what we need, penetration and addressing biofilms at the same time!

Oral antibiotics in my opinion just makes the bacteria throw up it's self defense mechanisms and go deeper into the body. But they do work slowly slowly with time!

Good luck!

There's not too many natural supplements that absorb into the body like cannabis and cbd does, it's some powerful stuff. Along with garlic, but no cure, works just as slow as abx.

Would you please explain how the syringe form is actually used? Injected?

My adult son uses CBD oil. So far, it has not helped his chronic pain. His LLMD wants him to use medical cannabis and we are in the process of looking into this.

So sorry, I figured people would know. Syringe form is just the way it is placed in the tube and how you squirt it out, it doesn't get injected and has no metal tip.

Slowly squirts onto your finger, then you can place it on your tongue or underneath for better absorption. Like how Rick Simpson does it...

Again, there's so many different types and brands of CBD oil. I haven't tried Bluebird Botanicals, but if you aren't feeling the tingling or funny feeling when you put this CBD oil in your body, I'm afraid version you have may not be strong enough.

When I first tried Special FX Labs CBD CO2 oil in the syringe, I actually got a little high. Not necessarily the same feeling when you get when you take cannabis, but a different kind of feeling where it was soft and subtle.

Maybe a little dizziness too like when you take some strong antibiotics. But your body gets used to it in a weeks time and adjusts... May be longer if you're beginning stages of Lyme.

And you might also feel a lot of fatigue beginning in treatment. The energy will come eventually down the line! I got the same feeling when I went on Fluconazole, aka Diflucan.

Also when I first took this Special FX CBD oil, I felt this sensation where it started in my tongue and absorbed through my whole body. And then I would feel a tingling where the pain was in my joints.

Again, this stuff is powerful, if your son is getting some type of Hemp CBD oil from the internet, I'm afraid that a lot of that stuff may be weak.

There's so many different strains of cannabis and hemp... The one type of cannabis plant they bred for the little girl in Colorado called Charlottes Web, they actually took cannabis plant and bred it so there was tiny bit of THC and a boat load of CBD.

The point I'm trying to make is, there may be Hemp CBD oils out there that may be basically useless...while others are super potent.

Plus there's the different extraction methods companies use, I have no clue what BlueBird Botanicals use, but Special FX uses CO2. And like I said, there may be a little bit of THC to keep a balance.

Whatever it may be, the stuff is extremely potent!

And big tip here, what you can do is, take Rick Simspon Oil at night, because it can make you little high and tired, and CBD oil during the day. That way you stay functional!

Rick Simpson Oil(THC) is still really powerful for anti-inflammatory and maybe killing bacteria, I do that at night with a cannabis oil vape pen, and it takes any type of joint pain away.

Got be careful though if you're mixing cannabis products, so you don't get too high. Vape pen is way to go, so you portion it better. I don't like smoking it at all, too much THC and highness.

But for some people like my girlfriend, it works for her. For me, smoking gets me too high. Plus it's a carcinogen, compared to vaping. My girlfriend personally likes smoking because it last longer than the vape, but that's her personal experience. Guess everyone's different...

Thanks for the explanation.

My son gets his CBD Oil from his LLMD, not the Internet. It does not need a prescription and is legal, because it has no THC (active hallucinogenic ingredient) in it.

Is the CZ-1-99 which you said is supposed to hit markets later this year the same as the Special FX Labs CO2 CBD Oil in the Syringe form you use now?

Do both the CZ-1-99 and Special FX Labs CO2 CBD Oil in the Syringe form have THC in them?

Special FX Labs is just a cannabis company in Michigan, if they ever ship worldwide, probably won't be till cannabis fully goes legal in the states.

They had a website, they took it down, assuming it's due to the federal government and the local cops still harassing dispenseries and the companies that produce this stuff...

They still have a Facebook page, tried sending them messages to get an answer, they don't respond to anything. Assuming it's due to what I said above. https://www.facebook.com/SpecialFXLabs/

I'm hoping CZ-1-99 will hit later this year, it has to be in 3rd stage trials, considering it was in 2nd stage trials last October. Keep hope and stay optimistic people!!!!

Have no clue what CZ-1-99 has in it, they are using some type of biofilm buster formula, could be anything.

Doubt it's THC, but I have read how THC and CBD might have powerful properties that kill bacteria. Many articles stating how it possibly can kill resistant infections such as MRSA...

http://www.unitedpatientsgroup.com/blog/2014/12/23/is-cannabis-the-solution-to-the-antibiotic-resistant-staph-and-superbug-crisis/

http://www.eastbayexpress.com/LegalizationNation/archives/2013/07/29/fact-cannabis-kills-mrsa-disrupts-prion-diseases

Like I was stating to Jordana, a lot of natural supplements aren't going to have strong enough absorption and qualities to dissolve biofilms and kill spirochetes at the same time.

I've tried a lot of the supposed biofilm busters, I believe they are waste of time and money.

Cannabinoids on the other hand, in my own experience of trying CBD and THC, I've never seen or felt a natural substance that can absorb and effect your body like CBD and THC does.

Garlic at high doses is pretty potent, but CBD, it's some amazing stuff. If there was any type of natural substance that I think would work for Lyme Disease, this would be the stuff. Rick Simpson Oil might be great too, problem with RSO oil is it gets you high and makes you nonfunctional, so take it at night.

Update: Mighty interesting today, bone crunching fatigue after taking CBD oil today. Also a little muscle twitching! Is it working? I think it's fascinating how I had the same reaction to CBD oil, as I did with fluconazole.

I did fish a lot and lift a lot of weights this on Saturday, sometimes with weightlifting you don't feel it till the 2nd day, but I think there's more going on with CBD oil...

I'm kind of mad at myself for not being more open to trying cannabis oil and CBD oil when it first became legal in Michigan. I kind of got conned into trying Samento, biofilm busters, and other natural supplements that a lot of these LLMD make big claims work.

Of course everybody's body is different and considering the coinfections, but I think a lot of the natural products LLMDs recommend just aren't powerful enough to make a dent that what we're looking for...

CBD on the other hand, possibly could. Shelley White has written a few articles and videos on how much it's helped her
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=307cbbKw0xM
http://www.lymebook.com/cannabis-for-lyme-shelley-white-medical-marijuana

The Cowden protocol might work for early early stage Lyme, but Chronic Lyme??? Stop wasting your money people, along with a lot of the other stuff like the Rife Machine. Lot of this crap has been out for a long time, anyone making any "REAL" progress, nut much report on that huh?

Cannabis and CBD oil on other hand, lot of this stuff is just hitting the market, along with some Lyme Patients trying it. I'm sure others have tried smoking, but believe me, ITS NOT THE SAME THING AS TAKING THE OIL!!!

I didn't like smoking it either!

GW Pharmaceuticals stock -> https://www.google.com/#q=gw+pharmaceuticals+stock

Proof is in the puding, as always with natural supplements, lot of this crap is just snake oil and hogwash. CBD and THC has been proven to work for a lot of people with a lot of disorders, not much to say about the crap Dr. K and many other LLMDs prescribe.

I love Dr. K, he has a lot of brilliant theories, but a lot of the treatment he uses will bankrupt patients and bottom line, they don't work like he claims. But I understand that goes hand in hand with natural supplements, would never call him a fraud like some people do.

Personally I would trust anything LLMD or Dr. K says over the CDC and any traditional doctor any day. Just remember, LLMDs aren't perfect either, but at least they try to help people! Instead of just prescribing pain pills that just mask the pain and are killing people daily...

Good thing is, a lot of CBD oil companies are starting pop up, they even have the Charlottes web one. I really didn't do much research on the web since I was buying one from a dispensery over her in MI.

How potent are these to Special FX Labs version?

Well only way is to find out... I'll have to try 1 or 2 of them

http://cwbotanicals.com/all-charlottes-web-products
https://www.endoca.com/Products1
http://www.biocbdplus.com/product/biocbd-muscle-joint-support-topical-oil
http://greengardengold.com/

As you'll read, every brand has different formula. Some using tumeric, others using CBDa plus the CBD.

One things for sure, lot of the companies are price gouging!

Big heads up, I tried a new brand, actually sold on the internet.

Definitely does not have the same effect for me on my joints as Special FX, read this!!!

https://pluscbdoil.com/shop/concentratesoil/pluscbd-oil-gold-formula-oral-applicator/

quote:

The CBD oils that are advertised online and that say they are legal to ship to non-medical cannabis states, are not made from the same type of cannabis plant as the CBD products in medical cannabis states.

There are three types of cannabis - indica, sativa and ruderalis. While all three produce cannabinoids such as THC and CBD, cannabis ruderalis (also referred to as hemp) does not contain them in a high enough concentration to have a therapeutic effect.

Because hemp products are legal to import to the U.S. and ship from state to state (although growing the hemp plant is federally illegal),

companies are taking large amounts of hemp plants and processing them harshly to try and derive enough CBD to call their oil a CBD product.

Kind of just wasted $90. PLUSCBD OIL GOLD FORMULA ORAL does probably help for some, but believe me it's not as strong as Special FX Hemp Oil...

As stated in this article, it's just not going to have the same therapeutic effect as the cannabis plants that have high CBD and low THC.

Special FX calls their CBD Hemp oil, but again, it might be a cannabis strain that is high in CBD, even though it's sold under the name hemp...

Just be aware, lot of this stuff sold, even the Charlottes Web version I mentioned up above, not the same as the original Charlottes Web... Which used a strain of cannabis with high CBD and low THC. Like this guy states in the video...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x7LTCVJqWlQ

There might be some quality CBD oils being sold on the internet, but I'm just not going to risk blowing anymore money... Sticking with what works for me!

Believe me, there's one hell of a difference from the CBD sold at medical marijuana dispensaries than the ones being sold on the internet.

I hope this explains why the CBD oil you bought "hopingandpraying" is not working, your son should feel relief instantly.

I tried this PLUSCBD OIL GOLD FORMULA ORAL I bought, does not taste the same, it tastes like coffee/rope.

Tolerable, but Special FX has a complete different test. Both claim to use the same extraction CO2.

Big Heads up people!!!! Just be aware the online stuff is not the same being sold at the medical marijuana dispenseries....

It also could be that Special FX incorporates CBDa in their product, not quite sure. But there's so many different CBD oils out there and they are not created equal for pain.

Maybe I will try another brand again one day, but again, just gonna have to stick with what works for my arthritis.

I'm glad you're experimenting with CBD and THC oils for Lyme. I've used them on and off for a few years now.

Like you I've found that there is a big different in quality in CBD oil. I tried this one brand, UltraCBD and it was complete garbage. Dixie Dew Drops were decent quality.

But I agree the best stuff is from medical dispensaries. I think the extractions from high CBD medical strains are much higher quality than the extractions from low-grade commercial hemp.

Personally I never noticed a huge killing effect from CBD oil. I found that THC and THC+CBD oil seems to have a much stronger antibacterial effect.

Granted, I was never doing massive doses of the pure CBD oil. There is a user Ohyran on healingwell who is documenting his experiment taking huge doses of pure CBD oil.

It seems it does become more antibacterial at heroic doses. However it also is cost prohibitive to ingest such large quantities.

I agree with you that the Cowden and Buhner herbs that are touted as a panacea for Lyme are actually pretty weak.

However I think there are strong treatments that you are discounting. In my experience Rife is the most powerful thing I've tried. It will give you herxes that are crazy if you aren't careful to gradually increase the time. If you combine Rife with a biofilm buster you can make alot of progress quickly.

From what I've tried I think strong essential oils like Thyme and Oregano are actually more antibacterial than Cannabis oil.

If you look into the mechanisms of action for the cannabinoids, many of them are involved with cell signaling, particularly around apoptosis, programmed cell death.

So Cannabis oil can be very useful to tell cancerous or intracellularly infected cells to die, but perhaps not as good at killing the pathogens themselves.

I agree that biofilm is probably the main challenge for Lyme patients and alot of the biofilm busters available are pretty weak. Lately I've been using ultrasound to break up biofilms and it is proving to be quite effective.

I posted about it here: http://www.healingwell.com/community/default.aspx?f=30&m=3617637

I wish you best of luck with your experiment. I think we need to be pushing the boundaries with new treatments rather than expecting different results from the existing ones.

They are, big time! Difference is like night and day for inflammation and pain. Yes, the commercial hemp these companies are using just isn't the same thing, which a lot of people fail to understand.

It's also a damn shame what some of these companies are charging for their commercial Hemp CBD oils, like Endoca for a 0.338 oz bottle. Just as bad as NutraMedix ripping us off for what they charge on Samento!

Yeah it's hard to tell if it's killing bacteria, but studies have shown that cannabis can kill antibiotic resistant strains of MRSA, along with other bacterial infections.

Of course we all know Lyme is another thing, but if we could use this CBD oil and THC oil rather than antibiotics longterm, it's definitely a start.

I'm tired of being on antibiotics, it's been 5 years now. We all have to watch our Liver enzymes and health when it gets to 5 years of use...

You're definitely right on with adding a THC+CBD combo, I think that definitely helps.

It's great you feel it's working because you're feeling the herxing, but how's the progress? Definitely no miracle cure right?

And seeing what people pay for these machines, waste of money in my opinion. I've read nothing but bad reviews with these machines http://www.lymeneteurope.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=293&start=40

And the studies, basically non existent compared to cannabis...

I'm still very sketpic with Rifing, but hey if you can replace it with antibiotics, that's great, but I've heard a lot of people failing to do that!

I tried Oregano, I would say I disagree on the strength compared to Cannabis. But hey, maybe I'm wrong...

In my experience, nothing has worked better for pain than CBD oil during day and THC at night. So many articles stating how it's so effective on pain and being "antibacterial!"

If I were to put all my eggs in one basket for natural treatment, I would go with CBD oil and Rick Simpson Oil(THC oil).

http://reset.me/story/marijuana-the-super-antibiotic-of-the-future/

Update: I've been doing the Special FX CBD Tincture again, along with the syringe. The tincture no longer hurts my knuckles, go figure??? There must be more going on here than I think...

I remember when I first went on antibitoics, it made my arthritis 10x worse. Is this antibacterial herxing from killing spirochetes?

CBD oil is definitely no magic cure, progress is still slow in my experience, but for those of us in the last stages like 4th or 5th year of antibiotics and want to come off them, this could be a great alternative...

I definitely support Dr. Ms treatment with CBD oil, but I definitely think you should add some THC in there too, whether it be Rick Simpson Oil or some cannabis vaping. THC really compliments CBD oil nicely in my experience!!!

http://www.medicaljane.com/2015/05/22/doctor-believes-cannabidiol-paste-could-be-a-potential-cure-for-lyme-disease/

Thanks for chiming in "project!!!!" I don't mean to bash your other treatments, it's just that I haven't found relief in any natural treatments at all and find they are over hyped big time.

After being on the forums for 5 years and studying this disease, I think most people have experienced the same thing or we'd be hearing these big breakthroughs like people have had with Flagyl/Tindamax or IV antibiotics...

Well I was initially quite skeptical of Rife but was introduced to it by a neighbor who had gone completely into remission with it. He had failed on antibiotics, was bedridden and suicidal, but after 1 year of Rife he was completely recovered.

I tried his machine, a GB4000, and the herx was a lot like other treatments I had done, only stronger. So I researched a bit on the internet and ended up buying a Spooky2 machine for $300 to experiment with.

The thing with Rife is that it's not like just taking a pill, there are different machines and many different frequencies. So someone's report of failing on Rife doesn't mean that much, they could have not been using it effectively for their particular infections.

There are a bunch of success stories out there if you dig, here are some I've uncovered:

I noticed that the author of the last book listed just updated her blog and seems she is still doing well:

Personally I have healed my long time wrist and neck pain since starting Rife. My sleep is way better, and also my fatigue and brain fog have disappeared. I can ski for 8 hours and do fairly rigorous hikes up 2000ft elevation or so. I still herx but the herxes are lessening.

The great thing is that you can just keep using Rife to stay in remission and the cost is effectively zero, especially when the herxes stop completely.

Thanks for chiming in "project!!!!" I don't mean to bash your other treatments, it's just that I haven't found relief in any natural treatments at all and find they are over hyped big time.

This is my fear about Cannabis oil. Of all treatments out there it is by far the most hyped right now. I think it definitely has potential but it can be dangerous to rely on just one treatment against these wily bacteria.

I'm taking a bunch of supplements but as far as killing treatments go I'm using Rife, essentials oils to break biofilm (Thyme, Clove, Lavender, Black Pepper, Geranium, German Chamomile), ultrasound (also for biofilm), monolaurin, and Rick Simpson style THC:CBD 2:1 Cannabis oil.

I personally feel it's best to hit it from all angles. Rife is like a sniper rifle but you need to know exactly what to target with it. So I think it's good to use it along with broad spectrum therapies like Cannabis oil, essential oils, or monolaurin.

Couple things, folks - first of all, upon request, I've just read through the thread - please break up your posting into a couple lines at a line so people can read it - there are many here who cannot read blocks of type - so appreciate your assistance with this -

2nd, this is an interesting thread about cannabis - lots being said here about its use!

I also see some evaluative comparisons going on of other treatment modalities. If evaluative discussion is to continue on this thread, remember it's never one-size-fits-all with treatment for any of us,

so please be considerate of one another's opinions and experiences - we are all going to respond different to any treatment out there -

Just deleted responses that are in violation of Terms and Conditions, found below, for posting on the board. Please read them to be informed of how posting works here. This is a moderated board, in order to insure that people get to post without being harassed.

One of the issues involved here is that everyone responds differently to treatments. It's fine to report on treatments that are working, but it's not allowed here to harass posters for reporting on their various treatments, since the treatments might be working for them and others.

I had a hideous experience with apple puckers edibles. I took only "one serving."

They are infused with cannabis oil.

It sent me into asystole for 10 seconds, followed by a heart rate of 220 that lasted four hours.

It ruined my life. It was after that event that my sleep troubles started, stress started, and heart troubles started.

It was also after that event that my current alleged lyme symptoms started.

I'm never touching it again. CBD itself causes bradycardia and cardiac arrest tendencies (even if temporary).

If I hadn't of taken that apple pucker candy, I would probably be very healthy today, and probably wouldn't have even sought treatment for lyme because my immune system was doing OK for many years...

And I had energy, was able to travel, was able to do everything. And since my ingestion of cannabis-infused candy, my quality of life has spiraled downward.

Never had a headache in my life; had daily headaches since. Never had trouble sleeping; now sleep is often terrorizing.

Never had POTS before; after that had trouble standing for long periods of time. Never had exertional fatigue before that; since have trouble with exercise.

Never felt like I was dying before then, and have many, many times since.

The thing is, I really have post-cannabis sickness, and I'm grasping at straws to blame my current state of health on lyme disease.

I am happy for the people who've been saved by cannabis. I've been ruined by it.

I don't know how you guys but I use the same store for years and I'm happy. If I want to get high, I get high. If I want to smoke e-liquid, I smoke e-liquid with different flavours and so on. 2-3 years, only changed my vape kit so far. My boyfriend is very serious about his personal things also, and is loyal. We, both buy from best mouth to lung vape as they know they have best mtl vapes in all UK. Moreover, we had so many gifts and bonuses, such customer service makes us want to be with them only.
