I was wondering how long everyone was on treatment before noticing improvements.

I was originally started on mino, but mental health and insomnia went to garbage, then body went to garbage.

My dr switched me to ceftin. I've been on this for about 6-7 weeks because my dr. Went on vacation at the time I was to call her!

I saw improvement the first month on ceftin, but not sure if it was from ceftin or initial shock of mino.

Having a hard time even getting through treatment without mental health going too low.

Soo, when did everyone make a 'break through' to see improvements?

I guess I was just looking for a little hope for improvement. I read many of the success stories though.

Hard to see the light at the end of a very long tunnel.

I think it was probably 1-2 weeks. This was a few years ago, so difficult to remember for sure. I remember it being very slow but somewhat steady, for me. Nothing really "super" or "breakthrough" that happened one particular day.

Took a long time.

Six months for my husband...years for my daughter.

It is so different for everyone and many factors have to be taken into account, such as how long one has been sick and without treatment, coinfections, etc.

Some people start feeling better within a few days and it takes some people many years.

I wouldn't say there was a "break through." I did see very small improvements after a few weeks. What I mean by that is that I went from being in bed ALL day to being able to be up for an hour or two while still feeling like hell the whole time.

So there was improvement but I'd hardly call it a breakthrough.

That continued in that very slow way for a loooong time. And there were also some times where it was 2 steps forward, one step back. Keeping a journal many help to show trends. Or ask someone close to you if you seem better than a month or two ago. It can be hard for the patient to notice sometimes when you are going from super horrendous to "just" awful.

Are you on just Ceftin? And before that were you on just mino?

Thanks everyone!

Yes, I was just on mino and now just ceftin!

I'm just starting g out on this journey. Dr. Will add more, but I'm struggling to get through treatment.

I herxed so badly with mino, had to stop.

Ceftin has been ok, just not a lot of improvement.

Just trying to figure it all out and figure out how to actually make it through treatment!
