Where did the weekend go? Quite nice here in the 60's but will warm up a bit this week.

Went to church. Am having trouble focusing on our interim pastor's sermons lately. He rambles. But we cannot afford a permanent pastor at this point even though we are gaining a few parishioners.

Did a 35 minute prayer walk and then a tiny bit of yard work.

Have a great week!!! [hi]

I got up and out way earlier than normal fir me to get that shelf from the yard sale and they didnt open! There were a bunch of cars leaving when i got there. No sugn of the ppl. What a waste of gas for me! I was mad.

I stopped at tractor supply on the way home to extend ettas outing shes allowed in there. I bought her a new leash...had to thriw the other one away cuz i couldnt get toxin off it

Then i found a pink truck and pink horse trailer with a horse and gurl ruder and all the tack and figured that would be a good bday present for alex. Her party is at an animal farm with a pony. Im also trying to make her a picture book of her last year...

Then i came home and had 2 good hours transplanting but it was cut short by a rabid fox. Ive been sitying inside cuz im afraid if he comes after me i wont be able to get awsy

My wc and wheel barrow and all kinds of plants are still out there and its drizxling. I want to go out so bad but i really dont want to get bit

Im glad youre having a restful day hiker. Hope you have a good week

I was wondering how kam gets food without the car. I was texting with another moldy and she is healthy living way out in country without emf s and chemicals...but she cant get enough food!

I guess she might be able to take wc to store

Well...im either going to pay bills or go clean up my mess outside

Sunday-Thanks Hiker for starting this week's thread. Just a couple of errands today. Did my PT and that's all. Tired today.

Kayak-Rabid fox sounds scary. I got bit by a stunned squirrel that fell out of a tree when I was a teenager. I'm still leery of them!

It's 7:30 and I'm wiped out! Got up at 1:00 this afternoon! Too many meds obviously.

Nite gang!

Hey there, kayak and hiker!

We had a sad day at church. Pastor announced that my song-leading partner died from cancer. He hasn't been singing with me for the most of the past 4-5 months.

He got cancer about 18 months ago and has really fought to come back.. but it was not to be. We've been song-leaders for about 8-9 yrs. I've lost count. He was very instrumental in designing our new sanctuary 7 yrs ago.

----

I slept 3 hours this afternoon and now I'm cooking a chicken that I bought the other day. I wanted to get it cooked so it will still be rather fresh.

I'll freeze the leftovers before going to bed. I'll probably still go to the show if I can hurry up and get out of here.

--

Kayak... Kam already got the car fixed because she told me she got lost trying to find the grocery store. She said nothing is more than 5-10 min away from her.

Did you call animal control about the fox?

Posted by lpkayak (Member # 5230) on :

Oh tutu such a sad day for you. You knew him a lobg time

I didnt call about the fox. He was in my neighbors drive. Trying to scratch himselful but ge kept falling down. And his esrs were all floppy. Very sad. The foxes thst trotted by a lot last summer catching squirrels for their babies were beautiful...him getting sick might have had something to do with drought.

I called neighbors so they wouldnt let their dog out. I thought they would call cuz he w as so close to them. But they didn't

I took a rest snd workrd inside for 3 hrs. Then i went out to move car closer to doir in c as e i had to go anywhere in the night

I asked the neighbor what happened and she said she didnt know?!? There were a lot of healthy chipmunks and squirrels running around so i figured the fox was gone. I stayed out about half an hour cleanibg up

I talked to my brother...the one on iv after shoulder surgery...hes off the iv!!!

Im getting a little more done tonight. I gave to sign etta up for daycare and make plans for the trip to nj. Im a little afraid of that

AK sneaked in there when I wasn't looking! Hope you get the rest you needed!

Kayak .. do call if the fox shows up again!

We've known this church member for probably close to 20 years. I think he and his wife came about a year after we did and we've been here 20. His wife is also ill with some kind of cancer. Not sure how long she will make it. We've lost so many members in the past 2-3 years.

Kayak .. So glad your brother is off the IV! What's in NJ besides family?

Posted by hiker53 (Member # 6046) on :

Tutu--Sorry to hear about your friend. You have dealt with a lot of loss lately.

Lp--Don't want that fox biting a squirrel and spreading rabies. Hurrah for your brother.

Ak--Do not overdose on antihistamines--LOL.

Walked after work.

Very busy week. Was hoping to get through school this week without a meeting but have a faculty meeting tomorrow morning, so need to go early.

Just family in nj...but driving in nj is different than any itger place ive been. Mass is bad too...but im very comfotabke driving hughways and back roads...just not really congested cities and thats wgat the last 40 min is and i often get lost and end up crying histerical by the time i get there

Hiker..i think you shojld retire now

Today i st as rted to do bills cuz i was afraid yogo outside. I found out the fox might have been a coyote but no one knows where it is

Everythibg went wrong...ohone kept ganging up on ppl but i paid 3 impt bills plus started auto pagment for van

Also...for the 3rd timd in s month pain in the cancer breast woke md. This time feel kump but in the past when thst has happened its been nothing. I called oncol and we figured out my yrly ckup is ind week after shoulder surgery ... So i cant make it so im going in thurs to see if i need xtra mamm or ultrasound

Yuk

I ended up driving to beach with etta...only for a couple hours but it was good for both of us

Its raining tonight. Im going to try yo go out early and at lesst ginish what i started in yard. I have urus and lilies and some wild glowers sitting in a wherrl barrow...oh some daisies too.

Im ending up with too many glo we rs but im thinking if i just let them multiply in an organized way maybe i could sell some. They are a lot hesltuer than what they sell at home depot...thats for dure

I also got phone in mail but cant dtart it so have to plan a day to tske it hslf hr awsy to tmomile shop

Happy that you were able to get your walking in, hiker! Don't you just love meetings!?

Kayak .. I was asking about NJ because I hadn't heard you say that you were going to visit family. I thought maybe there was another reason I didn't know about.

Sure hope the pain in the breast is "nothing." Ugh is right!

Monday-Therapy off and on throughout the day. Went to 4 stores with Mom looking for a suitcase. She's going to Hawaii around the end of the month with her BFF for a week. I went to 3 stores looking for Straight Talk's prepaid phone card. Finally found it at Walmart.

TuTu-Sorry about the loss of your friend. So hard to say goodbye. Sending you a hug!

LP--I need to teach at least one more if not two years after this one to get a decent pension.

Didn't get my walk in after school. Went to the chiropractor for the first time in weeks. Had to get my toe yanked out--ouch. Back isn't a problem, but my toe joint gets stuck.

Tomorrow is massive grading day--All classes have assignments to turn in.

Thanks, AK ..

I'll be back later .. but for future reference, the very best place for buying suitcases is TJ Maxx. They have high quality suitcases for about half the retail price. I've always found great buys there.

Good luck grading papers, hiker! My least favorite job while teaching. Actually, I didn't hate it but it took up so much TIME!!!!

Tuesday-Went to therapist today and found out I was doing my exercises to aggressively. So now doing the toned down version throughout the day.

Going to dermatologist in the a.m. Have developed a greenish black line in one of my thumb nails. Something else to deal with.

Hiker-Hang in there with the paper grading. It took Josh awhile to get through his on Monday.

TuTu-We went to the mall to look at some suitcases and about had a fit over the prices. She ended up finding one with the spinning wheels for about $50 at Ross. Marshalls, TJ Maxx and Ross had the best prices.

See you all tomorrow!

[hi]

Paper grading went faster than expected. I started school at 6:30 A.M. this morning and finished at 5:00 P.M. but no more papers until next week.

Too pooped to exercise, so off to rustle up some dinner--leftovers.

Posted by Lymetoo (Member # 743) on :

Yep! Glad you found those places! Really good deals on good suitcases!

Have a good evening, everyone!

I just spent a ton of money on new brakes and a new seal on the differential. Oh joy.

Wednesday-Just my usual PT and made dinner and did dishes. My back is bothering me still so am cutting down on my activities.

Tried to watch the debate last night but fell asleep.

Hiker-I know you're happy that all that paperwork is done!

TuTu-Oh no! I know those repairs weren't cheap. My old Taurus was always in the shop.

Any who, see you guys tomorrow!

Im alw as ys afraud of car repaurs. Even ehen i have a warrenty it seems it never pays

Havent gotten phone fixed. I worked on bills 3 days this week and they are looking better. I still need to file and folliw thru on stuff. Had to move direct deposit of retirement check to get lower interest on the van.

Ive been afraid of the rabid fox or coyote. Then i got chased inside by a skunk who's trying to settle in under shed for the winter. And today neughbor said a bears hanging around.

Ive been trying to ckean up outside now that weathers cooler. I usually have at least til thanksguving to get ready for winter but this yr surgery is nov 9 and i cant do anything after that for 6 wks

I forgot to go to cancer doc today. Im such a ditz. I was upset about it so decided to forget about it til the appt....but i forgot too good.

Ive been piddling around fixing van for trip and got a few things from storage to sell and then decided to have yd sale 4 days and finish up around house while having yd sale. I only have a few things but they are nice things so hope they will sell and yard will be all done at end of weekend

Ak...it doesn't surprise me you over did pt. I still remember you training for that trip to alaska and wondering how you did it

Hiker...i remember thinking i had two yrs left...to get kids out if college and one yr ti get me out if debt. Then the kid knocked me out and that w as that. I have to make do on what i got. I hope you figure out as way to mske it thru

Kayak .. When are you leaving and for how long? I never heard the story of the purpose of your trip.

Thursday-Did my PT and more errands today. One thing I did for fun was purchase 2 tickets online for the wine trail event in small downtown Opelika Alabama.

So, looks like Josh and I are heading out tomorrow evening for snacks, wine, music and a little bit of shopping.

Weather's supposed to be great, not as hot, in the mid 80's and cooler in the evening. Yay!

Kayak-I wanted to go gangbusters here at my Mom's this fall since I'm not working. I need to repair and clean some leaky gutters, heavier duty landscaping and yard cleanup. But my back's a mess so all that's on hold. We'll just have to bolster each other up during our recoveries.

TuTu-I must have missed something.... what trip?

Anyways gang, have a super weekend and hopefully I can check in tomorrow!

I went to a science conference today. Nice to get away from school with my colleagues. We went out to lunch, too. I will have to go in this weekend to get caught up, but I do have Monday off.

My exercise was walking at the convention center and walking to lunch and grocery shopping. Am whipped.

Praying for those in path of Hurricane. I texted my Florida friend but the text did not go through, so I imagine it hit her area pretty hard.

AK--enjoy your evening out.

Lp--Glad you get to see your new grandson.

Kayak .. I knew you had a new grandchild, but wasn't sure if it was a boy or girl. Didn't know you were going to see them until you told us why you were going to NJ.

Sorry I got lost! [Big Grin]

Wonder what is going on with the toxins?? Scary stuff!

Hope you are feeling better.

Hiker .. I remember how wonderful it would feel when we teachers would be able to get out into "the free world!" HAHA! I was thinking about that the other day. Conferences were always fun. Most of us would end up sneaking off to shop in San Antonio. Oh, the glory days! [Big Grin]

AK .. hope you had a great time!

I went to exercise today since I missed it on Thursday due to the funeral. I did 40 min on the machine and 12 laps. Then I ran a bunch of errands. Was worn out this evening but went to hubby's show anyway.

On my fb page theres a pic my son sent me of new baby. He said "look ma. I wrapped him up like a burrito!'

Im dragging this morning. Couldnt get to sleep til 3 a m and had only had 5 hrs night before

Im kind of facing fact i probably cant go to nj. I can get by in my own environment but walking eating bathroom traffic and motel rooms are just so hard now.

Today is alex's real bday. I sent her a stencil kit in mail. I just texted her on sons phone.

The leaves are getting really pretty now. Hope every one has great weekend

Beautiful day here, so I got outside and did some yard work--pulled the dead cukes and tomato plants and spaded the garden. Cut back the milkweed.

Went for a walk--about 30 minutes.

Did my weekly visit to the library and am now going to read and watch football.

Also cooked quite a bit last night and this morning.

Not many leaves have changed here, yet. My big sweet gum tree is always the last to change and it's almost December before I get those leaves raked.
