Whew... what a day. I woke up with a painful stomach .. I know it was from the MCAS .. Just on overload from yesterday's traumas.

I feel better now, but I'm going to bed. I hope to wake up feeling like a new person!! [Big Grin]

I have free tickets for a show tonight and I'm taking two friends.

(PS .. I did make it to church.. and I skipped lunch)

See ya! [hi]

Tutu--hope your nap helps! I am trying out the soap nuts today with my laundry. Hope they work for me.

Ak--I am outraged by your ex selling your stuff to the flea market. Save your receipts and give them to your lawyer.

LP--Waiting to hear about the fire truck!

I spent 90 minutes spading up the soil for my small vegetable garden plot and getting it fine enough for planting. I planted some lettuce, but will hold off on the beans etc. It dropped into the 30's last night, so I should probably wait a couple of more weeks.

Such a beautiful day here. 70 and sunny and no wind. Sprayed a few t-shirts with Sawyer spray and ran a quick errand to get some weed killer.

I hate to use weed killer, but my nice neighbor in back of me has an immaculate yard, so I am at least spraying the dandelions along the fence line. I talked to her today and said it was probably a useless gesture, because the other 3 neighbors around me do not spray. I want to help the bees out and the dandelions keep the lawn green. LOL

I am going to sit on the porch with a cup of decaf coffee and a good book, now.

Have a super week. [Cool]

Sunday-My feet and legs still bothering me bit. Went on a mission with Mom today looking for regular powdered peanut butter for my Uncle. All we could find was super reduced fat ones. My poor Uncle in Okinawa is losing more weight and we're trying to think of ways to fatten him up.

Hiker-Hey....maybe me finding the pen desk item is a sign that I'm going to get a great job! Thanks for the tip about the admin job.

Seeing my lawyer tomorrow and am going to mention my flea market 'find'.

I'm also breaking out the weed killer for the driveway and my stone pavers for the garbage cans and grill. I usually just pull them up but the driveway is hard to do.

TuTu-Thanks for getting us started this week. I'm going to miss Zumba tomorrow because I'll be at the lawyer's. Kinda nervous about my appointment but I need to have some faith. Hope you feel better too!

Well...time for some liquid melatonin.

You two be VERY careful about using chemicals. It can be so damaging to your health.

[group hug]

Have you tried pea protein for your uncle, AK?? I can't use anything like that, so I don't know. Peanut powder doesn't sound like a healthy thing.

I walked a very slow pace for 29 minutes after work. Every muscle is my body is complaining after my yard work yesterday.

I am not nearly in shape as I would like to be. Aah to be young again!! LOL

Hope you all had a good day!

67 yrs on this planet and I have never heard of peanut powder! I ate a lot of peanut butter years ago but had to switch to almond butter because of mold

Ok. Fire engine. There was an accident down the road with a lot of wires down. Our power was going on and off. But one time when it went it came back on I smelled smoke. It really smelled strong to me. I put Etta in the car and walked around house again...something in elec box didn't look right(but later I found out it wasok)

I called 911 and told them I couldn't find fire but smelled smoke. For some reason the guy could hear me but when he talked I it was all garbled and I didn't know what he was saying. So I went out to car. Backed it out of drive and away from house. I was worried about propane a little and I called again. And he said fd was on the way. They were really nice. Checked everything with their meters. They couldn't find anything but the said I did the right thing

I do get phantom smells from Lyme or whatever else is wrong with me. But I also noticed a lampshade was tilted and might have been burning a little. But all is well.

That was Fri morning. I got sicker and sicker all day and w as in ER from midnight to 6 am. Ambulance ride. Sick neighbor helped me by watching Etta while they picked me up. I'm not sure if I already posted this. It was diverticulitis. Possibly brought on by ibuprofen am using since knee surgery because diclofenec has high histamine. Also primary had told me some wrong things about diet for the 4 weeks of diarrhea.

I'm on cipro and flagyl for 14 days. After48 hrs I felt a little better but still week

Then this morning I had scary episode of incontinence. But when I saw gi doc this afternoon he made me feel so much better.

He said the episode was part of healing and he didn't think I would need surgery and he told med to go back on diet I'm usually on except no raw veggies or fruits until I'm all better

He also said scan showed most of abdomen w as good but I now have kidney stones. But they aren't giving me symptoms. I hope I can figure out how to get rid of them

Idk how good this info is but the only bad things I eat for kidney stones are 1 cup of caffeine a day. Himylan pink salt and dairy. I have to get better info. I do not want to ad passing kidney stones to my life

So that's it and now after typing this I'm exhausted.

Good luck tomorrow a k. I also was really upset hearing what he did

Hiker I'm sorry you hurt but I wish I could be doing yard work. And back to walking dog. Just enjoy these spring days as much as you can

And tutu...Idk. You party. You get knocked down. You sleep and then you do it again. Good for you!

I'm resting a lot but really feel I am on the mend. See you soon.

Monday-Had very little sleep...to stressed out and took no sleeping pills, etc. Face is red and swollen from meds and stress. Hands and feet tingling and hurting too.

Lawyer appointment went so so. Found out to keep my health insurance my monthly payment for this year is about $800. I can't afford it. It would take all of my alimony plus I'd have to go to work.

Waiting for my court date next and am so ready to get this over with.

Have found out my ex has stopped making credit card payments. He bought a new truck and ran up a bunch of cards.

Me and Mom are heading to the gym tomorrow and I'm hoping I can go.

Well, I'm a mess today.....

[Frown]

Hiker .. you are right .. Oh, to be young again!!

Kayak .. I'm glad it wasn't a fire and I'm also glad you called the FD. Also very happy that you do not currently have symptoms of kidney stones.

My husband takes chance piedra to keep his stones away. It works really well. I don't really know about the caffeine, since I don't ingest any. (sadly)

Yeah, I continue to "party".. I know that one day TOO SOON, I won't be able to go to the shows. Either money, scents, illness, etc will stop me. So I go NOW while I still can.

Normally I would have just stayed home Sunday night, but this show is super dooper and I had promised to take two friends with me. We all enjoyed the show very much. FREE is nice, esp when the tickets are $45-50 each. [Smile]

A friend at church suggested a heating pad for my tummy. Hmmm... had never tried that one!! It worked really well, along with the much needed rest. I also made sure to eat very little. I had some chicken about an hour before I left.

Today I went to town for acupuncture and then went to the grocery store here for a few items. Came home and rested some.

AK .. I sure hope your heart will be OK.. I hurt for you!!! That is awful that he ran up more bills. GRRR... Not having insurance is really scary, but let's just hope you will be taken care of. God knows His stuff!

Posted by hiker53 (Member # 6046) on :

AK--Did he run up bills on credit cards that have your name on them? Sure hope not. I would cancel those in a hurry if that is the case.

You may have to apply for health insurance under the affordable care act. If you are not working and your alimony is not much you would easily qualify.

lp--I may say--you lead an exciting life.

Posted by lpkayak (Member # 5230) on :

AK...I am so sorry for what you are going thru.

Tutu...I think music is healing so as long as the scents are controlled you should count shows as therapy

Posted by Lymetoo (Member # 743) on :

That's very true!

Posted by lpkayak (Member # 5230) on :

Wow. I was to sick to prepare and manage my helper today. I can't believe all the things she said. I now know she has Lyme mcad and mold issues. But she doesn't know. Back later

lp--hope you are feeling better!!

Way too windy to walk after work today. Am tuckered out anyway, so will probably eat dinner, read and go to bed.

Expecting severe weather here tomorrow. Ugh.

Posted by lpkayak (Member # 5230) on :

Shoot. Its pouring here but I hope that wind doesn't come. Its trash day tomorrow and I have a bunch of recyclables but if I put them out in the wind they will blow all over

The pain is definitely better and I've done a few things today but I get so tired after just a short sit down shower or fixing extras food. I had to walk outside with a bucket and turn it upside down over the little tiny daffodils I have bluming cuz we are getting down pour tonight

Hopefully this will get us out of the drought.

The weather's bound to get better soon...right hiker?

Nite.

Posted by Lymetoo (Member # 743) on :

Glad the pain is getting better, LP.

Hiker .. Sounds like you live on the coast with all that wind.

We are expecting tons of rain tomorrow and Thursday. We had plenty Fri- Sun. .. Hope we don't flood.

We'll be safe at the top of the hill, but the town can flood. The people at the bottom of the hill have flooding sometimes because there's a creek down there. I love to hear it roar, though.

Going to Bible study tomorrow .. oh, and PT.

Went to exercise today and did 38 minutes on the machine and 10 or 12 laps. Who's counting? [Big Grin]

Also went to the first half of hubby's show. I left so I could come home and watch the Spurs WIN!!

Posted by aklnwlf (Member # 5960) on :

Tuesday-Ab DVD and did cross training at the gym. 10 minutes each on treadmill, rower and elliptical stepper.

Had to medicate last night to get some sleep. It's 2:38 and I'm still up. 😖

TuTu-Thank you!

Kayak-Glad you're starting to feel better!

Hiker-Time to batten down the hatches! Awesome on the exercise. One credit card is joint along with the mortgage.

Well.....can't keep my eyes open. Night all!

[sleepy]

I'm bummed. I'm afraid to say this to anyone else I was too weak to go to breast surgeon check up today. I got so exhausted from helper yesterday. I think I've had her a few months and I never smelled cig smoke before. I got a good hit of it yesterday and immediately put on mask andexhaust fan. But she just kept talking and talking. I was too sick to be prepared for her but she did what I asked. It just wore me out so much. I could barely stand so thought I shouldn't drive half hour each way

I managed to get trash out to side of road. Kept my phone with me in pouring rain in case I fell

I couldn't help seeing so many perennials seem to be growing inches overnight. But instead of being happy I'm wondering if this will be the last time I see them bloom. I can't help thinking I am full of cancer and they can't find it

Posted by hiker53 (Member # 6046) on :

LP--Keep your chin up and think positive. I would be scared, too, but you will be fine.

I now carry my phone anytime I go up and down stairs or outside--am afraid of falling and not being able to reach anyone. Sometimes living alone can be tough.

I think Tutu's rain is now here. Starting to pour and will get several inches tonight and a lot more this weekend.

They are supposed to resurface road tomorrow, so I need to be out of my house by 7 AM. The rain may delay it, but I won't know unless I get up early. I normally get up at 6:30 and leave at 7:30.

I think I will treat myself to breakfast out since I have to get up early and then head to work. I have a ton of essays coming in tomorrow. Wish I had them today since I have some extra time today and tomorrow morning. Oh well, I will stay late at work tomorrow.

No exercise today. [cussing]

Ak--sleep better, tonight!!!

Right now I think we all need a big hug. [group hug]

Posted by lpkayak (Member # 5230) on :

Yes. GROUP HUG. I don't know how to do those thing us.

Thanks hiker. Only one more pill today. And it was day 5 out of 14. Maybe I 'll start to turn the corner

Tomorrow my big thing is to drive to local PO...its very close. And send a note and some stamped and addressed big manilla envelopes to my grand daughter asking her to make me some pics for my fridge. My son sent a pic last week of her using a stencil set I sent her

So...just listened to the news. Sounds like I might not have to keep track of my medical expenses. I'm not sure if that's good or bad.

Also kinda cool house prices are going up. I 'll never get back what I put into this house but I sure hope I can sell it when I have to

I hope you guys are safe tonight. I know they are talking about storms.

Posted by Lymetoo (Member # 743) on :

Kayak .. You will be OK once you get this diverticulitis under control. I'm sure it knocks quite a punch .. esp after you've had TWO surgeries in such a brief period of time.

Our internet went out last night during a storm. Many were without power for quite awhile. We were fine on that one, thank goodness.

I was so bored without the internet, I almost had to do something constructive this evening!! [Big Grin] [Big Grin]

Went to Bible study this afternoon and to the grocery store for a few things. We are having more rain and storms this weekend. I'm sure there will be flooding here.

Wednesday-2 DVDs and 1 hour of intense Zumba. Made me sore. Me and Mom went to the grocery store later. Josh came over for dinner and I made a Stouffer's lasagne, salad, garlic bread and the dreaded strawberry shortcake. I ate it and I sure I'll pay.

Me, Mom and Josh going to a formal/semi formal awards ceremony dinner at Fort Benning. My Mom is one of the awardees. Fun, fun!

Kayak-You poor thing! Cigarette smoke is the bane of my existence and makes me terribly ill. It's OK if you miss an appt because you're not well.

Hoping you feel better soon!

Hiker-Going out to breakfast is always a special treat. I was eating out to much at my old job and had to nip that in the bud! Hope you don't stay to late at work!

TuTu-We are so hooked on the internet! Our power was out for 5 hours not to long ago and I had to break out a book. Course I love to read but do so much on my tablet I'm getting spoiled.

BTW, I agree with Hiker about the hug!

[group hug]

Posted by Lymetoo (Member # 743) on :

AK .. Same here. I actually read a book for awhile. HAHA! I knew I should be cleaning or organizing.. but you know...

[Big Grin]

Then the internet came back on about 7 pm.

Since the rain stopped this morning I figured they would resurface the road. Got up early and left to get some eggs and bacon at a local diner.

Turns out they did not resurface the road. Engineer said they would do it tomorrow. Rain is forecast for tomorrow, but I have to be ready early again--just in case. We are in for flash floods this weekend.

Graded essays after school. I always enjoy reading the persuasive essays--everything from there should be no homework to Apple is better than Samsung.

So, my only exercise was of my hand writing comments.

Got home later than normal and it is chilly and windy. Decided not to grocery shop which I will be doing that in the rain tomorrow or Saturday.

Tomorrow is Friday and I am so ready for that!

Ok. I had a really bad day but probably not as bad as tutu

I had to deal with docs calling me about stupid stuff. Primary told me I had diverticulitis and she called in amoxicillin for me...this is 6th day I am on cipro and flagyl for it?!?

Local Allergist texted me my primary wanted me to make an appointment. I talked to that office...both doc and manager and doc said mast cell was too complicated for his office so I have had my own allergist for 4 months

After that I slept for 4 hrs and now I'm trying to get back on track with meds.

But I ate half an egg...woo hoo! And it stayed down....gotta be thankful for the little things. And I also had the energy to drag out my zero gravity chair that isn't perfect but is the best I have

I'm still in awe of the exercise a k does. Seems crazy to me. Glad you had a good breakfast hiker

And glad you're in the house tutu

I'm exhausted. Got locked out of my car and house. Locked the keys in my trunk.

Too tired to tell you about it.

Took 5 hours to get it fixed. Sigh.

Posted by aklnwlf (Member # 5960) on :

Thursday-1 DVD and 10 minutes each on treadmill, elliptical stepper and rower. For fun used the exercise torture machines for inner thighs and back.

Me, Mom and Josh had a wonderful time at the awards ceremony. Was so proud of my little Mom and her volunteer work.

TuTu-Oh no! Sounds like you're having one of those days! Sending a hug especially for you.

[group hug]

Hiker-We ended up having a terrible storm and tornado warning down here too! One plus is I didn't have to water the yard.

Do you ever get hand cramps from writing to much? I hate them.....they are so painful!

Kayak-Half an egg! That'd be just enough to tick me off towards the rest of humanity! [Big Grin]

I was on the rowing machine today and was thinking, ' What am I doing? I'm not getting anywhere!'.

I think I'm exercising at my pace out of fear. Fear of not being healthy enough to weather my divorce, take care of my Mom and looking for work.

In other words...I feel like a gigantic hamster in a cage on one of those wheels!

What a relief to come here.....

Love you guys!

[hi]

Tutu--Sorry you had a rough day yesterday. Hope you can laugh about it in the future.

lp--Is the carpenter finished? I can't keep up with all you have going on at your house.

AK--There is nothing too big that God can't handle. "Come to me all who are weary and burdened and I will give your rest." Matthew 11:28

You will get through this!!

Am up early and out the door before 7 as the road crew was pulling up. Not sure they will actually get the resurfacing done today as it is going to rain and looks ominous but am hopeful.

Well, now that I am at school very early, I guess I will do some work.

Posted by lpkayak (Member # 5230) on :

Oh A k I feel the same...its been raw and rainy here and for some reason when I logged on I was picturing going to this room with comfy couches facing each other next to a warm crackling fire. To meet you guys(it was a daydream I guess so it didn't matter I was probably allergic to fire)

Now I'm too tired to writ. Back soon

Posted by hiker53 (Member # 6046) on :

Raining again. Supposed to pour all weekend.

However, it is Friday and the kids were good all week at school and my school work is done until next week.

Road got partially resurfaced today before the rain came, so I can get out of my cul-del-sac easily and any time now.

Exercise was a bust again today. But sounds like AK is doing enough for all of us.

Off to make some dinner and relax.

Posted by Lymetoo (Member # 743) on :

It's been foggy and misty all day. I'm not sure when the heavy rain will start, but it will rain from now until Sunday afternoon. Our ground is already saturated and there will be flooding. We will be fine where we are.

As for yesterday .. briefly .. Dropped my keys in the trunk on my way to exercise. Had placed the trash and the recycle stuff in there and accidentally dropped the keys. LONG story in between.

They came to get my car open .. great.. but the alarm system would not let up since I didn't have a key to stop the cycle of it. Could not get into the trunk.

Got hubby's key (had to meet him at work ..a friend took me) .. that didn't work either. I had hoped to open the trunk with his key. NOPE>

Finally called our mechanic to see about getting the back seat removed. NOPE. He called later to suggest using hubby's key to put into the door after getting the cable back on the battery. (Had to disarm it to stop the alarm)

That worked... I told him he was a genius!

So .. gotta get another door key, find the code for my punch button door opener (if possible), and use my brain next time! [Big Grin]

(5 long hours to get back in to my house and car)

Tip of the day:

Don't have your keys in your hand when putting stuff in the trunk.

Thankfully, the weather was beautiful yesterday and my health was pretty good. Totally exhausted me though.

Going out later to listen to hubby play in a Dixieland band at restaurant.

Editing to add:

Just found out that I can't go because it's a black tie affair. It's something for the police .. Back the Badge.

Where are you guys?

Yes hiker carpenter finished kitchen and I have more sit down counter space and a pot holder on the ceiling

I am saving to have him redo 5 windows and siding in front of house

I'm eating a huge supper. Whole piece of toast with teaspoon of almond butter and 4 cooked peach slices

It got hot and sunny this afternoon but tomorrow we have t storms. My dehumidifier has been. Going like crazy. I keep having to empty it. House is below 50% but just barely. That is very impt for me.

My back is giving way more trouble and its really hard to find any comfortable position. I'm trying to walk a little more cuz that usually helps and trying to do certain exercises but I'm just so weak

I did sign up for free back clinic at PT place tomorrow at 10 so I probably should get into bed soon so I can do that

After120 hrs in bed I was able to go to PO and mail envelopes to my granddaughter so she 'll send me a picture she drew. Its very sad to wait so long for these guys and then hardly ever see them. I'm trying to be creative and make the best of it

Well. Have a good nite

I slept 10 hours not 120

And I guess we were all writing at the same time

Friday-Did my ab DVD and went to Zumba. Mom stayed home and rested instead of going to the gym. In fact it's 7:14 and she's already in her bed. Worry that she's tired a lot.

Hiker-Yep, I need to put that burden down! Also I've got you covered for exercise! I was complaining about my shoulder and the champagne I drank last night so the Zumba instructor went easy on us. Yay!

Kayak-On my couch there are pillows for my feet and head to rest on. Fire sounds great for achiness and I've got tons of benadryl to combat smokey fires.

I'm aching a lot lately, (surely not from exercise) and have been taking advil almost everyday. Hope your back gets better.

TuTu-How awful about the keys! I keep a spare car key in my wallet. My Mom has one in her wallet and also house keys attached to the outside of her wallet. She's bad about forgetting her house keys.

Well, Josh just called so I'm heading to his house.

See everyone tomorrow!

RAIN, LIGHTNING, THUNDER, RAIN, LIGHTNING, THUNDER. Nearly constant since 2:30 a.m.

Hope our city doesn't float away. We are still fine.

I was drinking water a little while ago and lightning hit so close that I jumped and the cup hit my teeth!! [Big Grin]

Rain, Rain, Rain here as well. Flash flood warnings out and the rivers are going to be at least 10 feet above flood stage in a few days.

Ran a few errands this morning to the library and organic local store.

Did some cooking and baking and a few loads of laundry. Then took a nap.

Will spend the rest of the day reading or watching taped shows. I am not going back outside in this weather.

Pray for no leaks in the roof and that my sump pump works. It rarely turns on, so I never know if it is going to work when it is needed.

I have not exercised since Monday and the rain is not going to stop until Tuesday here. Am going to turn into a fatty blob.

Posted by aklnwlf (Member # 5960) on :

Saturday-2 DVDs and then detailed the inside of my car. Sprayed some weeds on the driveway and along the lawn where it meets the street.

Mom had plans and so did Josh so I went shopping and then took myself to a pub for quesadillas and beer and listened to a pretty good local band that played a variety of music.

Sorry you all are having terrible weather. Its OK down here for now.

Well it's 2:49 so off to bed!

[sleepy]
