Amerigroup [AKA Medicaid] has agreed to give Silver a whole 14 hours of service a week! Yay. But I guess that's better than none.
The current ladies [that I have hired and paid for] are a great group and do a lot for both of us [I'm must be getting old cuz I can't do what I could when I was a young man of 60!] and enjoy spending time with her so I can take care of house business.
We have an appt with the surgeon on Wed morning to see if he thinks she strong enough to start doing a little more [maybe getting out for something other than dr's appts?] and perhaps start cardiac rehab. We'll see.
She is doing better in a lot of ways however the "rash" and "peeling" that was pretty well eradicated is coming back. Home health nurse was puzzled about it as well. No explanation as yet.
She is also experiencing some dizziness and nurse thinks it may be linked to hypoxia [lack of O2] but her breathing treatments are going well, she's drinking lots of water and other liquids, and her O2 sats look good when tested.
In the meantime, she is progressing!

Sounds great... 14 hours is pretty good, I guess. I think it's more than our good friend Kam gets.
I'm very sorry to hear about the rash. Maybe it's something that comes and goes. I know it must be very uncomfortable. I hope they can help with it.
Per the dizziness .. maybe her meds are a bit strong for her or she's just not used to them yet. Keep an eye on that Mr Hawk!

Silver got the OK from Surgery doc to start doing a little more and getting out.
So last night I took her to dinner [she had salmon, baked potato and salad] and it was nice to go somewhere besides just a doctor visit.
She is finally able to put the legs down on the recliner and now she can get up and down from it w/o a lot of help.
Things are going well!
