Basic summary from their study...

Docs don't know their Lyme from a hole in the ground- SO TESTS ARE "REQUIRED".

This insanity comes from Boston- same old, same old- tests are REQUIRED to confirm a diagnosis because clinicians can’t be trusted to do make the diagnosis on their own.

No mention that the tests are missing 74.9% of those who have Lyme disease! UGH!

It is so sad what they are doing to the children up there.

And the lead author is one of the members on the new federal TBD committee (see her bio below). UGH!

QUOTE FROM STUDY- "Because clinician suspicion had only minimal accuracy for the diagnosis of Lyme disease, laboratory confirmation is required to avoid both under- and overdiagnosis.”

Massachusetts is such a load of specific garbage when it comes to diagnosing TBDs. It's behind the curve to terrifying degrees -- otherwise the incident of Justina Pelletier (locked up by Boston Children's, taken from her family, mistreated, subject to insane corruption until her CT family managed to get her back) and apparently similar incidents at BCH over the yrs would never have happened.

It's criminal what goes on in Mass. around TBDs, not just for kids but obviously, in a highly-endemic Lyme state, the misdiagnosis of kids is particularly appalling. Also, at least two lab techs in Mass. in recent years have come under fire and been exposed for falsifying thousands of lab results (mostly drug tests it seems but it does beg the question of how "good" Lyme testing is in MA compared to even sub-par everywhere else. . .), so there's another reason (among many) not to trust the accuracy of the testing. . .

They can't seem to be trusted with children AT ALL. Just ask the family of Justina Pelletier.

We went to BCH and saw a great pediatric neuro BUT once the WB came back negative (no band readings just negative) it was a brick wall.
