Jiggling and Wiggling my way into the week. How about you?

Walked outside for the first time in ages. It was only 12 degrees and I only went about 20 minutes. Felt good to be outside now that the snow and ice has melted.

Went to the hardware store for a few items including ice melt as it is supposed to snow tonight and then be windy and drop below zero tomorrow.

Attempted to fill my car tires with air but my air pump broke. My neighbor brought his air compressor and filled them for me. What a nice guy.

I think Tutu gets home today. Hope she can rest up.

Have a great week!! [Cool]

We're HOME! Whew!!

Early Monday-Thanks Hiker for getting us going! Smiled thinking of wiggling and jiggling! Trouble sleeping, waking up in the middle of the night and staying up for hours, etc. So I ended up waking up at 1:00 p.m.! Only thing I did was make dinner and do dishes.

Hiker-I remember hiking in AK in the winter time. I pulled a groin muscle badly from not warming up beforehand. Even stretching is supposed to help.

TuTu-Glad you're home safe and sound! Thank you for texting me today.

Also wanted to thank others from last week's thread that are praying for my Mom.

See you all tomorrow!

I walked 2x yesterdsy! It's so nice to have some pavement that isn't icy. Etta was so happy too. I walked fast both times...got heart pumping...I don't usually do that. No walker or canes either...I'm still sore from chopping ice and I guess tired from walking but so glad I got to do it. It was colder yesterday than day b4 but with heavy coat and less wind I was fine. We have 6 inches coming tues nite to wed...after it passes by hiker I guess

Cold and sunny today. I want to keep going on finances for taxes. If I stop in the middle I get lost and have to start over

I don't think I have appts this week but have to drive to computer store to figure out something on new printer. He's right around corner and off we ed to come to house but its an extra $50. And he said he would carry printer in so I'm going to try to go to him tomorrow b4 snow...so it isn't slippery

Glad you are home safe tutu

Thinking of you a lot a k

Hope this turns into a good week

Ps. I don't think I mentioned this. The brother who lives near me...the one I helped about 8 yrs ago to get on Medicaid when he couldn't work anymore. Partially from Lyme but some poor choices too...well he is acting wierd and its scaring me. He's 15 miles away and doesn't have a car...but he has a history of bipolar. For yrs I played it down because that can be a sx of Lyme...but this is a manic is manic behavior that is hard to ignor

He wants to contact my kids and they are all struggling with their own stuff so I don't want to help by giving phone numbers etc

This has been going on a few weeks now. I felt upset and guilty for awhile. I mean my kids are all adults. Is it wrong for me to not give brother phone numbers cuz I am trying to protect them

Sometimes he calls and texts many times a day. Before this month's would go by and he wouldn't contact me. Anyway. Just sharing I guess. This is my safe place for stuff I don't want to talk to anyone else about

I think ignoring is best for now. Hopefully he will level out. I think I remember reading bipolar can get worse when you get older

Back to finances! You would think I was a billionaire! But a tax refund might get me out of credit card debt

Got up and shoveled the drive. Took about an hour. Then as soon as I finished it started snowing again.

I will wait now until it stops and the snow plow comes by and do one more round of shoveling. Very light snow (about 4 inches so far), but now it is very blustery and will blow like crazy.

I want the drive and walk clear and not snowy or icy for cleaining lady on Wednesday.

Back later.

Our trip went well, except that hubby feels horrible. I guess it's the flu. We'll find out soon enough. He is wheezing and has terrible congestion.

Today is a holiday and it would be hard to get out, so he is hanging in there with just Mucinex. It's started snowing again about 6, I think. It's beautiful out there.

It will snow until at least 4 pm, maybe till 6.

Our toughest road issue yesterday was getting up OUR hill to the condo. We agreed that the 4Runner would not have made it. Our AWD Highlander did it very well. The parking area had not been cleared of 3 inches of snow, but we did OK getting most of our things out of the car.

We left the stuff we saved from our storage in South Texas and a few other non-essentials.

So I'm just playing nurse today. I told him to take notes on how to care for me when I get sick! LOL

Keep plugging away, everyone!

prayers continue for AK's mom ..

[group hug]

Tutu-- I thought you might come back to some snow. Glad you are home safe and hope your hubby does not have the flu.

We got about 4 inches and the snow plow dumped a ton in front of my nice clean drive and also piled it up in front of the mailbox area that I had cleared.

Howard, my neighbor, came out to help and even with his help, it took another 20 minutes to clear out what the plow left.

Glad I did not have to work today or that mess would have frozen solid by the time I got off work and I would be unable to get in the drive.

My body will pay for all the shoveling I did today. A condo sure would be nice. [Roll Eyes]

Prayers for all of us and especially Lp's brother and AK's mom.

Off to fix some lunch and curl up on the couch with a good book.

Lyme too you are a good wife...but we all know that already

I hope you both don't get flu

I've been good about staying focused on finances and I'm making progress but I am freezing...IN the house. Mostly my feet. I have vinyl floors with scatter rugs

I planned on walking about 2 to 3. It was supposed to be heat of the day...but its still 5. I don't think its gonna warm up. Etta will be disappointed

I'm confused. I thought we wouldn't have snow til wed. Maybe we get it tomorrow if you guys have it now

My brother is escalating. The Florida brother is going to call him tonight. If this brother gets involved with drugs he will lose all services. Housing food medical. I will have to turn him away. I pray he gets the right help. It doesn't seem like he can help himself. If anyone can help him its the Florida brother. We did an alcohol intervention on him 30 yrs ago and it worked

Oh well. I need to get warm.

Also have to call insurance again. I just got a 34000. Bill for last surgery. This is second call. I hope insurance is correct and hospital put it in wrong

Hope we get some good news from a k

I'm glad youre home hiker to shovel when its light...but I know you will not be happy to make up the day

Hiker .. yes, the last 30 miles we drove were a bit iffy, but way better than it had been in the afternoon. They plowed it all about 3pm.

We were supposed to get 1/2 to one inch and we got 2-4 yesterday. Then it began again this morning and has not stopped snowing (about 8 hours now).

It's very pretty! I don't feel really great, but I'm busy taking care of hubby and washing clothes. Doing what I can. We have little food in the house. Next to nothing I can eat.

I ate some old frozen chicken and it made me itchy. I just ate about 1/4 cup of it. I do have rice and rice pasta. Yuck. I never feel well after I eat that.

Hubby was too ill and we were too worried about the icy conditions to make a trip to the store last night.

I knew I had soups for him. He was nauseous earlier so I made some jello for him. It's still jelling.

kayak .. I hope your brother can get help. Maybe he just needs new meds. I hope he is not drinking or doing drugs. That would be so sad.

After our experience with our storage stuff, we are on a mission to PURGE the junk. I just threw out a bunch of stuff. More to come!

If hubby were feeling better, he would probably be throwing stuff out too! [Smile]

Lyme too, Me too! We struggle with so many of the same issues here. I can't stop sweating, so work in very short bits, soak my clothes, and stop.

This is insane. Hubby is not very well either, and works so hard to keep our life afloat. He is five years from retirement and so very tired.

Will be keeping you in my thoughts. I worked on the toilet today, and got it half fixed. Woo hoo! [Smile]

Monday-Errands and did 2 loads of laundry. Heated up leftover spaghetti to go with leftover salad and garlic bread for dinner. Josh came by to join us since he was off work today.

Haven't heard from the liver specialist yet so we're just waiting.....

Hiker-Do you guys use chains on your tires or do you have studded tires? In AK you can use studded tires at certain times of the year. Even with the studs I'd slide a bit on the ice.

Kayak-I don't remember you mentioning this brother before. Josh's sister is bipolar and very hard to be around. I've learned over the years that if her lips are moving she's lying. You have to take everything she says with a grain of salt. I feel for you!

TuTu-Sure hope you guys feel better soon. Funny you mentioned purging. I have a book on my Amazon wish list about the Japanese art of decluttering and organizing. I don't have much from moving so often and really like to weed through my stuff periodically. Had to give up a lot moving from here to AK and back and forth a couple of times. Hoping I'm here to stay.

LymeLearned-Hope you fixed the business end on that toilet! LOL! Thanks for the kind words last week.

See everyone tomorrow!

[hi]

Lyme-Learned .. you are now pegged as LL ... [Big Grin] Thanks...and hope the toilet is OK now.

AK .. we just kept leaving the stuff down there and not going through it. Hubby thought I would bring it all home so he didn't want to go through it when we would go down there. [Big Grin]

He's been so sick tonight. High fever .. 102 and threw up the Tylenol. Not sure what we will do tomorrow. So hard to get out. Our doctor will send abx out without an appointment .. I THINK.

He really needs to go to Urgent Care though. We're worried he might have pneumonia.

I need to go to bed.

Take care, everyone!

So sorry about hubs tutu. Its good he has you. Not surprising he caught it with so much traveling. The worst part of dealing with that storage is over

This brother is the one I tried to help when his back and hip got so bad he couldn't work. He lived in my mountain house for a few years when I lived near my son in my

He also had unset treated Lyme. The rest of the family and one doc dx him with bipolar but I rejected it because Dr brans field and other Lyme psychiatrists say bipolar can be a Lyme sx

He was an excellent finish carpenter most of his life. Worked on mansions in SE CT

Anyway. He is not on any meds. He goes on very strict diets for long periods and has been able to lose weight and says he feels good...but he also can be very preachy....I know exactly what you mean a k about the lying

I talked to another sister about it last night and it was upsetting to me to hear her say "he sounds great...has so much energy" ... She's having a kidney stone blown up today so I didn't want to get into bipolar stuff with her now

The brother that was supposed to talk to him didn't get Back To me. He's the one with the recent back surgery band shoulder surgery that went bad...so he has his hands full too. We all do really. Raising grandkids and other stuff

I felt very scared all night. I'm pretty sure I'm going to send him a message that he needs to get help from someone else...that I am too sick now. And then block him. The stress is bad for me. And he has gone years without contacting me at all

Anyway....that's my quick fix for cutting the stress

Snow is coming tonight. I've been doing so much paperwork I want to treat Etta and I to a drive to the beach and hopefully a walk

Ak. Hope you get good news soon

Hi LL! I'm not usually so negative. Just going thru family stuff. I remember when my daughter fixed her boyfriends dads toilet once! I was very proud of her...she's smart and beautiful too...but being able to fix a toilet is REALLY important

Hiker...hope your snow has stopped and you are cleaned up and back to work. I know you don't want more snow days

Posted by Lymetoo (Member # 743) on :

Kayak .. yes, go ahead and block him. The stress would do me in also. Can't handle it.

He needs to see a psychiatrist and get on meds. Just my humble opinion and I'm sure he wouldn't listen to that.

I don't know how we have handled all we have in the past month. Yes, it's been a month now since hubby got the stomach flu and then his father died, then two trips to Texas and 5 days of cleaning out storage. Thank you, God, for helping us!!

Hubs got really sick last night .. was almost hallucinating. His fever hit 102. He was wheezing, but it's better today. I asked him if he thought he could get to Urgent Care today or tomorrow and he said not with it being so cold! It was zero this morning. I think the high is 12. Tomorrow it will be warm and toasty .. 23.

Our doctor must be on VACATION! Dang it!!!! I had hoped he would call in a script.

I am coughing (mildly), but from the chest. Don't you love it?

Stay warm, everyone!

Tutu--Praying you do not get sick.

lp--will pray for your brother and your ability to cope with his situation.

Slept like a rock last night after all the shoveling I did yesterday.

Thank goodness yesterday was MLK day and we didn't use a snow day.

Parking lot at work was a sheet of ice today. Glad I have my Yak Tracks to put on over shoes or boots.

Came straight home after work and swept the drive of newly fallen snow.

Still getting flurries and in this cold they just freeze to the pavement and the wind turns it to ice. Ugh.

Posted by Lymetoo (Member # 743) on :

Hope tomorrow will be better, hiker.

I don't feel so great. Hubby is hanging in there. We probably can't get out until Thursday due to the icy conditions.

My "yak tracks" are in the garage.. Would probably fall on the ice getting there. [Big Grin]

Posted by lpkayak (Member # 5230) on :

I had yak track thingys when i lived in Mts but even then my hands were too messed up to put them on and off so I had them on one pair of slip on shoes all winter(about 8 months up there ha!)

Etta and I had wonderful 4 hrs at beach. HUGE waves. Many surfers. I can't believe I forgot my phone and camera. I saw so many surfers inside...you don't see that here much

We walked 3 times. Once was almost half mile. Idk minutes.

At the end there was a bench to sit on...instead of rock or wall...and it was by fish houses my mom used to hang out at when she was young. She used to tell me about one of the fishermen named Amos. So I sat on the bench and watched the waves and had a one way conversation with my mom. Then on the way home we saw all these bird watchers...snowy owls are here. I posted about it on fb

Maybe I should take up bird watching. I couldn't walk far but a lot of there ppl were older and didn't walk far

I'm trying To find outdoor things to do...less chemicals...but maybe a way to be less isolated and make some friends too. I wish I could find a church with lots of groups like in kennebunk....but with no mold and chemicals...

Snow has started. Gentle and pretty now. It will turn wet and icy be for it stops tomorrow night

I didn't get much done and ended up eating a haddock sandwich and coleslaw from my day place. Freshest fish on the beach. I didn't get sick but I'm still stuffed

Hopefully tomorrow I will finish recording finance stuff and pickup house. Laundry is piling up

Then thurs after roads are clear I 'll take printer to computer guy. It's nice to not have appts all the time

On tv the snow looked awful in Texas so I guess its bad in mo to...not sure if its done near hiker or if a k gets it this time

See you tomorrow

Tuesday-Couldn't post here for some reason.

Wednesday-Whoohoo! Snow day down here so no school and most businesses are closed. So snuggly warm in bed and watching movies.

Loved reading everyone's posts about yak tracs! Brings back happy memories!

I'm planning on no exercise today! Cleaned some fresh brussell sprouts and will saute them with turkey kielbasa and have that with rice. My little Mom put in her dinner request and I'm happy to comply.

Well, stay warm everyone!

We had a pretty snow. I worked on taxes most of day and made progress with medical expense list. At 4 I went out and raked 6 inches off vinyl garage. It's light ANF fluffy but did get my heart pumping and gave me left chest pain. When ever I go to hospital with this they insist its not heart but I still take an aspirin and rest and it stops.

Next week I get blood test to see if lipids have gone down. I've been off the charts my whole adult life. But numbers are the worst they have ever been. I've been taking a few meds since 26th so we will see

I'm not due for stress echo for another year...

Plow guy just called to say he's coming earlier...soon

Etta was cute playing in snow for half an hour while I was working inside. I put her on long leash and she goes out patio door. She didn't mind 6inches snow when its 30 degrees...but if its below 20 she takes 1 breath and comes back in

He's here. Gotta go. I'm afraid tutu might have flu since she didn't post

Posted by aklnwlf (Member # 5960) on :

Cute little Etta!

I forgot to let you all know that the liver specialist called yesterday and told my Mom she has 2 non cancerous spots and 1 cancerous tumor on her liver. She's being referred to an oncologist at Emory hospital in ATL.

Now we're waiting again for them to call.

Posted by hiker53 (Member # 6046) on :

Ak--Ugh. The waiting for appointments about cancer is horrible. I have no patience. Took several months after my mom's breast cancer diagnosis to get the cancer removed.

Snow, there? Wow. Sledding time in the south!

lp--Bet it is fun watching Etta play.

I had 12 kids missing from my classes today and 2 went home midday with splitting headaches.

I came home with a splitting headache, so I hope I am not catching something.

I would take a nap, but then I would not sleep tonight.

So, couch and dinner are my evening plans.

I don't know much about liver cancer. I know they do surgery on liver a lot so maybe they can just take it out. I know what hiker is saying. For me it happened real fast and it was like being on a run away train. I just did what they said. I tried to research but kept hitting dead ends so just went a long for the ride. The second time I had had 3 yrs to make a plan so it was easier

Hiker I hope your not getting the flu. I'm so glad I don't have to go out around ppl unless I want to

Posted by lpkayak (Member # 5230) on :

So...tutu hasn't posted. Does anyone know if it was her birthday? I thought in saw it say that on my phone but then I couldn't find it again. She sounded like she might be getting sick last time she posted

Take care everyone.

Good job, kayak! Remove yourself from toxic people even if they are family.

Yes, Jan. 16th was my birthday and I was SICK. I feel better today. Hubby is still sick. He was actin a bit strangely this morning and wanted to know what was wrong with him.

I thought to take his BP because it was 165 something yesterday. I asked him when he takes his meds and he said at night. (but he hasn't taken any since Sunday!)

So today it is 194/104 and I asked him if he took his meds last night .. NO. I just gave him one and will check on him again in a little bit.

We have some friends who are bringing us food and hopefully medicine, if I can get the doctor to comply!

I hope hiker isn't sick today. Awful stuff.

AK .. The big thing will be finding out which kind of cancer. Some are much more easily managed than others. We'll hope for something like that!

Posted by lpkayak (Member # 5230) on :

I'm glad you're feeling better tutu. Men! Very difficult when it comes to medical stuff.

I'm not really sick but I need a break from the paperwork

I picked house up a little this morning ... Then managed to pack up printer and laptop and get it to computer guy. He fixed printer connection and a few other things. He's such a nice guy. He works very hard and is barely getting by I think. He has been very good to me

I was in his office about half hour and it was very moldy. I hope the computer and printer didn't pick up the mold. I've heard ppl online talking about that

I took Etta for a drive after fixing the printer but cut it short cuz roads were icy

Tomorrow it gets warmer and I hope I can get close enough to baby trees to shake off the snow. Its still pretty heavy and I hope the branches don't break

Well...hopefully no one else gets sick and a k and her mom get some good news soon

Posted by hiker53 (Member # 6046) on :

Tutu--Glad you are feeling better. Need to get your hubby up and about. Nice to have friends who help.

lp--Don't fret about the mold. Your computer won't pick it up that quickly.

Went to chiropractor after work. Can tell toxins being released, so hopefully relief is on the way.

My fever is back up to 101.3

Hoping I can convince my husband to go to Urgent Care. He is wheezing like crazy.

Thursday-Another snow day for schools here. Josh came by for dinner. Me and Mom did nothing but play Kindle and computer games. We are some lazy slugs. [Wink]

No call yet from the oncologist.

Kayak-Thanks for sharing about your home life. Sometimes childhood can be very damaging. I agree with TuTu about toxic relationships. You can only do and take so much.

Hiker-Ugh! What happened to me? I used to go out in -40 degree weather. Now look at me....hibernating! Looks like I took that nap for you.

TuTu-Hope you and your hubby go to the doc in a box. Last time I had a fever of 102 turned out to be pneumonia. I don't usually ever have a fever and my body temp is on the low side like many here. Please take care of each other!

See you all tomorrow!

[group hug]

Boy do I feel like I wasted this day. I was online a lot with new friend from Canada. We have a lot in common. Her diverticulitis doc is treating her very different than mine is and she isn't doing well. She hardly eats...reminds me of tutu...and then there is another new friend asking about mcad but she doesn't seem to understand what I say and says she can't understand masto groups. It might be she doesn't speak much English

I still couldn't face paperwork today but did get going reorganizing clothes...sorting out big and small clothes...I keep changing sizes. I found second suitcase I had packed to goon Christmas trip that I never went on and found things I had been missing

I was on my feet 2 hrs doing that ancient feel pain...I was 3xcited about going outside at 2 to shake the snow off trees but when I got out there I couldn't walk...pain in shin bone I keep blaming on knee surgery but now I am starting to think it might be from bartonella
I figured out right away I couldnt walk in deep snow to clear trees in back yard...then tried to do ones next to drive but that was icy so I gave up got walker and tried to walk Etta but I really couldn't hold weight on that leg...I guess instoodtoo long doing clothes this morning

I started down the road but had to lean on right forearm to take weight off left leg so came back. Etta was sad. She had been on patio all morning playing in snow but she was so excited thinking we were going on long walk
Last night I packed up fire extinguisher to send back...there was recall on it and my son had them send me replacement. I dropped one of the packing peanuts and Etta snatched it up and ran away. It was as big one...3 inches...and she almost ate all of it when I found her. There was a tiny Bit left and it was soft and gooey...sort of like a cooked marshmallow. I was scared it would make a blockage and called ER vet. They said she should be fine...and she is. They are made of corn starch...and melt in warm water. Etta has been gassing up the house for 24 hrs. But everything else is working fine on her. Thank goodness. I would not want to gave to goto ER vet now

So...no tutu..hope she and hubs are getting care they need

A k thanks for kind words about family. I haven't heard from any siblings. But had short texts with my kids and they seem ok

Sister seems to have gotten thru kidney stone breakup procedure

Hiker I'm sure your right about mold in computer. I have them hooked up and all seem fine. Hope chiro helps with your toxins. Best thing for me is my 3 Epsom salt baths a week

I have to eat again. I'm trying something different. I hope it helps and doesn't hurt. I'm not changing what I eat but I eat 3 meals before 5 pm and then only drink water or tea until about 8 or 9 the next morning. Sort of mini fast. I hope it doesn't screw up diverticulitis. Its supposed to give gut a rest. But I have always been taught my bod y needsc5 small meals a day...so this is different. Time To eat now. Gotta go.

lp--Let us know how the new meal plan works.

Went grocery shopping after work. Still need to get to store with organic meat and gluten free items, but too tired

Couch time!

We are both feeling better today. Hubby even got a shower. He wasn’t taking meds for several days and had high blood pressure yesterday. I think it’s ok today. Haven’t heard the wheezing so I’ll check on that when he wakes up.

We are basically chilling out today.

Friday-Picked up water, shopped at Post Exchange and Commissary with Mom. Then we went and made an appointment to try and get me an ID to get on Post so that when my Mom has surgery? and treatment that I can get her meds, groceries and gas there.

Dropped off Mom then ran more errands, stopped and ate dinner with Josh and now home and working away in the kitchen.

Peeled and cut celery and zucchini sticks for Mom and made her some onion dip. She loves it! Sliced yellow squash and got that cooking on the stove to put up later so that I can make a batch of squash cornbread casserole.

Hiker-Need to start cooking more gluten free foods. I like the 'flour' products better anyways. I use Bob's Red Mill gluten-free pancake mix and have converted my Mom to eating them. We are both crazy about them. I need to dabble with breads, rolls etc and see how them come out.

TuTu-Glad you see some light at the end of the flu tunnel. I was reading about flu symptoms there in MO and it mentioned high fever. Were you able to do anything for your birthday?

Kayak-Thank goodness you didn't have to take
Etta to the vet! I ended up getting Rocky pet insurance but never really had the chance to use it. BTW, I'm interested in the semi-fast that you're going to try. I know lots of folks that eat around 3 in the afternoon and then nothing until breakfast. My blood sugar is more stable if I don't eat so much.

Anyways, off to watch Ancient Aliens and play a hidden object game on my laptop.

[hi]

Well this is 3rd day on new eating plan and I woke up in pretty bad abdominal pain. We 'll see how the day goes. Maybe I haven't given it enough time for my bod y to adjust. But I don't want to start a diverticulitis flare

This pain is higher than the diver. But thru the night I did have twinges in the diver spot

I ended up running out of hot water for my detox bath last night. Plugs it wasnt as hot as it usually is. The heat is very helpful for the arthritis

I got out and rested on bed for awhile. Texted with my daughter. She works for govt and her hubs is military. They both have to keep working...they have very hard jobs...but they won't get paid!?! The should be reimbursed when it is over.

They are doing well but hope this is over soon. They rent an expensive house in VA so they are close to work. They own 2 other houses that are rented an dc mostly pay their way. That is so much more complicated than my life. But everything changes

Its supposed to almost get to 50 today so I really hope the heavy snow will melt from baby trees(some are 6 ft now from 6 inches 5 yrs ago)

I also hope I can get a good walk in with Etta. It will be good for diver symptoms

I think I will do sitting Brown stuff until its warm enough to walk.

Then tonight maybe work on housework. I've been like this a li8ngbtime. I can do one or the other

Hope everyone has a good day. Relaxing. Healing. Good news.

Went to get organic meat this morning, then bank and library.

Cooked a big pot of chili and grilled porkchops.

Walked 21 minutes at rec center and didn't use trekking poles.

Some days I really need them but today I didn't.

Used wand at car wash to get salt off car. Not sure why I bothered since snow and sleet coming in a few days.

Am tuckered out now. Nap time.

Looks like a Hallmark sappy movie is in order this evening.

Hey gang. I mustered up the energy to go to Urgent Care. I was awakened in the night by coughing and worst wheezing ever. The doctor said he could give me a steroid inhaler but it takes a week to work and I could be dead by then

Can you believe he said that? I had the feeling that he was just being honest. So, I have to take real steroids. No sleeping for me!!

I also got antibiotics. He said that is to prevent anything from growing in my lungs. I’m already reacting to the food coloring in the abx. I called and he’s sending something to replace it I’m mad at myself for not checking it before leaving the pharmacy.

PS. It’s hubby’s birthday today. He went to church to get ready for tomorrow. He recorded some songs “live” if you’d like to hear it on FB. I know the songs were for his dad. We are only now able to take the time to grieve.

Aww. change my bedding ---well okay, I stopped halfway though, but there is no going back now if I want to sleep tonight.

This will mean I got one thing done.

Tutu--Glad you went to urgent care, but sorry you feel so rotten. This flu is very dangerous.

I almnost don't want to go to work and get exposed to the germs. May skip church tomorrow to avoid exposure.

Everyone shakes hands for the peace and we have a common cup communion.

Finished my sappy Hallmark film and am watching the European Figure Skating championships. So elegant.

Shoot .. Which channel for the ice skating??

I'm afraid to go out too! I may go to church tomorrow and just stop anyone if they start towards me with a hug. I told hubby I was going to wear a sign that said "no hugs please."

Hiker .. you might propose to your council that during winter months they totally suspend the hand shaking or hugging during sharing of the peace.

We voted on that last month. We may suspend it entirely, which would be shocking since we are all huggers. [Big Grin]

We tried one year to do only knuckle shakes. Didn't last long and everyone was back to shaking and hugging. With this year's flu, we may end it.

I'm happy about it because the scents were doing me in.

PS .. We have a choice of common cup or small cups.

I think being in crowds is over for me. Even small crowds...like one son or daughter...it would be nice if a miracle could change things

After some paperwork and my 2 meals I took Etta to beach. It was icy we than I expected but I found a place to walk her across the street from my fav surfing spot

It was a long walk for me too...it went in a circle and there was a pretty big hill. It took me 25 min there and I had already done10 min close to the beach but too many close calls with the ice

Then easy drive home and ate. And worked on taDrs for a few hours

I didn't start to feel better this morning until I ate the second time. I want this to work but not sure if It will

I feel really bad for you guys because you cant isolate. I hope you all stay well

Saturday-Picked up trash in the yard and popped some weeds out for about 30 minutes. So that's my exercise for the day.

Support meeting was great and afterwards invited someone to stay for church and they did. So outside of me and my friend, another person joined us at church for the first time and our group leader sat with us too.

So a great day!

Hiker-Way to go on the exercise and I'm heading your way for some chili!

TuTu-Was that your hubby playing the piano on FB? I loved it! Also glad you went to the doctor and got some meds. Those high temps can be dangerous!

Kayak-Envy the walk at the beach! I always thought the beach was especially lovely in the winter time. I guess the cold brisk air and solitude agrees with me.

LL-Hang in there! For 2 days this week I did nothing!

See everyone tomorrow!

[hi]

Yes, that was him playing. It was so pretty and so relaxing.

(If you saw him, he shaved his moustache and beard.)
😯

I love being around people so I won’t isolate. I am lying low for now. I’m still wide awake from the steroids so I will probably miss church tomorrow. I would love to go because I miss everyone and I love to sing.
