For the past month, I have done everything possible that I can think of. I went to an llmd and was prescribed two antibiotics. I take daily: A probiotic, multi-vitamin, cats claw, oregano oil, a cup of lemon water, 3 cups of green tea, and a cup of turmeric water.

I have only eaten something sugary/ dairy 3 times in the past month. I exersize daily, go to church and have tried to reduce stress as much as possible, and yet, I still have:

1.tingling in my legs. It is less now, especially if I don't think about it, but it's still there.

2. A stiff neck, but I don't know weather this is from the lyme, or poor sleeping posture.

3. A tickle in my throat, but don't know if this is from my allergies that i've always had.

4. Very rarely, Ever so slight back pain, but I don't know if this is lyme, or poor sleep positioning. Also, I have scolioses.

5. Slight muscle aches.

6. constipation involving blood.

I also just generally have a feeling of being on edge, and not quite myself. However, I will admit that I am generally a severely anxious and depressed person, so i don't know if that is what it is. Also, I admit that I eat almost like an anorexic, so maybe that could be the case too.

but I just have this nagging feeling that all this is because of lyme and no matter what I do, it's here to stay. If I go off the antibiotics, it will only get worse until I am nothing but a gruesome shadow of my former self.

I'm scared, and I almost feel like death would be preferable to constantly wondering weather my symptoms have other causes, or if I have monsters inside my body that are trying to kill me!

(breaking this up for easier reading for many here)

Hi mike

Can you do me a favor ? Can you private message me the name of your LLMD that is prescriping you Doxy 100mg 2x daily ? Thanks.

I am going to tell you something that nobody told me but I wish they had. And that is. . . . You must give yourself atleast a full year to get well.

You have only been treating for 2 months. You are in the hard part of treatment, the killing stage. The antibiotics are killing the bateria and the toxins are building up in your body.

You MUST detox to rid your body of toxins and ease your suffering. Drink filtered lemon water all day. Epsom salt baths, milk thistle, Glutathone, Alka selzer gold.

https://www.tiredoflyme.com/detox-methods.html

Get yourself a daily journal. Everyday day monitor your symptoms. When you have a good day ( YES, you will have them!), place a star on that day. Slowly, you will have 1 or 2 stars per month. Then 5 or 6 stars per month. Soon you will have more stars than not have stars. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I would also ask you to talk over anxiety options with your LLMD at your next visit. You have a positive Lyme test and with treatment you can get better. But your anxiety keeps making you think that this is not possible, which is not true.

I am not a doctor. This is my own personal experience. Stay the coarse.

Mike,

Toxins from killing Lyme can make anxiety worse.

You sound like you are in pretty good shape physically compared to a lot of people. Be thankful for that.

I echo Bartenderbonnie. Keep a journal. Write the good things for each day. Or use the star system she suggested.

Detox, detox, detox.

Give it time. Hang in there.

Hi Mike,

There is such a thing as a healing crisis...my daughter experienced this when she was treating for Lyme.

A GOOD CBD oil can help with your continuous anxiousness.

What is CBD?

Posted by momindeep (Member # 7618) on :

hiker...CBD = cannabidiol oil. It is part of a hemp plant or marijuana plant sans THC...although you can purchase CBD oil with THC in it.

Cannabidiol is a compound or component of the plant that offers various benefits...for me it reduces pain, stress and helps me sleep better.

You need help with your anxiety, now. No one here can treat you for that. Call your doctor's office.

And it appears you need something else to occupy your mind and spare time. This ranting below is not a normal reaction to symptoms that are no worse than a normal cold or flu...

Mike, TC is pointing out that your thinking is catastrophizing - ie thinking the worst.

The reality is that you're in the middle of treatment, which is going to take a little while.
And your symptoms, while some may be uncomfortable for you, are not as bad as they could be.

There are lots of treatments for Lyme, not just antibiotics, and not just the supplements you're naming here, altho they are some good ones. So you don't need to catastrophize about treatments not working. There's a lot of choices out there.

Not sure what part anorexia could be playing in this, as I don't have it. If anyone here has had it and wishes to comment, feel welcome.

I agree that you need to work on calming your thoughts down.

When I start doing this for myself, I take some deep breaths, to get more oxygen in. Then I take some more deep breaths! We need to switch to a more oxygenated body and brain to relax.

Sometimes I just stop thinking and follow my breath, in, out, in, out, can count slowly, can go in and then out more slowly. Just be a present, breathing body without all the stressful thinking. I've even been known to fall asleep doing this!

Then I say some affirmations, like:
I'm doing the best I can.
I know healing takes time.
I cannot predict the future.
I actually cannot know whether a symptom will stay or successfully reduce in time, so I can't "think" the future. All I can do is live today.

Sometimes, when I'm thinking negative, I say to myself, ok, that's enough, now list 5 good things that are happening in my life. After I do that, list another 5.

This is all about the attitude we bring to whatever is going on. I think if we learn these attitudinal skills here, it carries over to the rest of our life, since life holds challenges and it's a really good idea to learn how to stay in the present and not future-worry, since no one knows what the future holds.

I have also found it's also really helpful to put our attention on something else, whatever our interests are.

I believe you Mike.

Because the flip side of not believing you, would mean I dismissed maybe someone in need.

Yes, you do have mental issues that need immediate attention. These can be caused by Tick Borne Infections. Read ;

Mike, have you seen the answers here? There is some good information. I don't think you're coming back to your threads to see what people are saying about your situation.
