Sending caring concern to everyone who is fleeing the hurricane set to hit the US. Especially Tin Cup who evacuated yesterday. Again.

It was 90+ degrees here in No. Ohio yesterday - a new record.
When are people going to take working on saving our earth seriously.

Sigh....

I just emailed TC, because I have been thinking of her and praying that she is ok. Thank God that she evacuated as needed. But terrible that she had to.

Next I pray that her house is ok. Evacuation can't be all that wonderful either . . . to where?

Yes, prayers for everyone in the path.

Boartenderbonnie, aren't you in FL? I presume you were not in the path, given that you posted above. O, good grief, that typo is too funny to remove---sorry Bonnie.

Ann OH and all...

Never thought to check in here (scatter brain). SORRY!

Also have been really busy packing up, loading up, unpacking and unloading.

It is like moving in and out of your home, over and over again, while you are too sick most days to do even the basics, making it difficult.

Do you pack for 2 days, 4 days, or a week? I was gone 11 days last time, so that is a concern.

And the never ending question... what do you want to keep the most or the least so you can leave some stuff behind to possibly be destroyed?

HARD to do, decissions to make. Heartbreaking too.

Anyhow, good news! Only two problems on returning home.

A plastic flower pot I out on top of some mulch I'd put out had tipped over. Plant is fine, no damage!

And I somehow left a bag of refrigerated food on the floor next to the door- forgetting to load it when I was leaving- so it had to be tossed.

Otherwise all good! We were lucky this time- very lucky! My heart breaks for all of those who were affected. I know how it feels.

And it feels nice to come here and see that someone actually thought of me and cared.

Priceless, and I smile. Thank you!

TC, I am so glad you are safe and not facing any wreckage!
I am donating to the Red Cross and marking it "Michael" so it
will help the survivors.

Credit goes to Rumigirl for the hilarious typo.

TC, I'm so glad that you and your house were spared this time! You've been through way too much already for it to be otherwise.

So, Bartenderbonnie, I assume you are ok, right?
I hope everyone is safe now.

It's scary how bad this storm is!

So happy to hear our dear friend Tincup is well with no major damages. People don't realize that it is a huge financial hit to evacuate during these storms. We barely live paycheck to paycheck. Donate if you're in the position to do so.

Yes, rum and coke girl, I am fine.
I will send you a lime from Florida for your drink. 🎾
