A 17 year old student's website has become the most vital resource for people seeking accurate and up-to-date numbers on the Corona pandemic.

https://ncov2019.live/data

You can see how many cases are in each state in the U.S.
You can see how many cases are in each country.
You can see how many people have been affected and have recovered.
You can compare healthcare systems response, failures and gains.

Soon to come. . .
It will track vaccine sucesses.
Many countries are implementing vaccine trials currently.

Picture of COVID-19 and an explanation of its proteins:

https://www.prosci-inc.com/covid-19/

For starters to help, this probiotic:

An Ang(1–7) secreting Lactobacillus paracasei

Because COVID-19 is binding to ACE2 and

ACE2 is needed to make ***anti-inflammatory Ang (1-7)***….

It is in a probiotic supplement called Probiotic 12 available on Amazon.

COVID-19 has been found in stools.

COVID-19 also binds to other proteins on our cells.

"Flux of the paramyxovirus ***hemagglutinin-neuraminidase glycoprotein*** through the endoplasmic reticulum

activates transcription of the GRP78-BiP gene. (Glucose regulatory protein)"

"COVID-19 spike by the cell-surface GRP78

upon cell stress." (ER stress is down regulated via TUDCA).

TUDCA abolished TG-induced markers of ER stress;*** reduced***calcium efflux, ***induction of Bip/GRP78***, and caspase-12 activation; and subsequently inhibited activation of effector caspases and apoptosis.

TUDCA is a taurine conjugated bile salt.

We make less bile salts as we age. Likely age link to protection from that virus.

I'm on 500mg of TUDCA for asthma.

TUDCA also looks to mimic metarhodopsin II -> transducin alpha

light activtated hodopsin....

Sorry, but again, conspiracy theories are never helpful. Don't believe all the stuff meant to scare you that you read on the internet.

Some of you don't trust the CDC, but this is a good account about how the virus got to us.

Source and Spread of the Virus
Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses that are common in people and many different species of animals, including camels, cattle, cats, and bats.

Rarely, animal coronaviruses can infect people and then spread between people such as with MERS-CoV, SARS-CoV, and now with this new virus (named SARS-CoV-2).

The SARS-CoV-2 virus is a betacoronavirus, like MERS-CoV and SARS-CoV.

All three of these viruses have their origins in bats. The sequences from U.S. patients are similar to the one that China initially posted, suggesting a likely single, recent emergence of this virus from an animal reservoir.

Early on, many of the patients at the epicenter of the outbreak in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China had some link to a large seafood and live animal market, suggesting animal-to-person spread.

Later, a growing number of patients reportedly did not have exposure to animal markets, indicating person-to-person spread.

Person-to-person spread was subsequently reported outside Hubei and in countries outside China, including in the United States.

Some international destinations now have ongoing community spread with the virus that causes COVID-19, as do some parts of the United States.

Community spread means some people have been infected and it is not known how or where they became exposed. Learn what is known about the spread of this newly emerged coronaviruses.

Which medications are they recommending for surviving the "cytokine storm"?

And note this which will take months or years:

"While randomized trials will be needed to confirm which, if any, of these therapeutics will effectively treat Covid-19-infected patients with cytokine storm syndrome.....,"

" We already have medicines for treating cytokine storm syndrome triggered by viruses
With the development of biologic therapies for a variety of rheumatic, oncologic, and other conditions, novel approaches to treating the immune response are now available.

These highly targeted medicines go after one or a few inflammatory molecules, including cytokines, without the general immune suppression effected by corticosteroids and other relatively non-selective immune suppressants.

Recently, a number of specific anti-cytokine approaches have proven effective in treating a variety of cytokine storm syndromes, including those triggered by viruses.

These include drugs targeting interleukin-1 (IL-1), IL-6, IL-18, and interferon-gamma.

While randomized trials will be needed to confirm which, if any, of these therapeutics will effectively treat Covid-19-infected patients with cytokine storm syndrome, IL-6 blockade has recently been reported to be in use in China with successful outcomes in some individuals receiving this as part of their treatment.

While working to prevent future outbreaks of deadly coronavirus infections with vaccine development and discovering new or re-purposed anti-viral medicines to treat the virus,

we must also use all the knowledge at our disposal to treat those patients most at risk of dying – including from Covid-19-induced cytokine storms.

For this to occur, the medical community must first be aware of the possibility, then make the diagnosis, and finally treat infected individuals with overly active immune responses that are harmful, if not fatal, left untreated.

This should help save the lives of those unfortunate individuals at risk of Covid-19 induced cytokine storm syndrome.

Dr. K. video posted on Medical forum of this site has him stating he believes it was made in a lab, but not with the purpose of killing people. There are other reasons people make bugs in labs, for example to support the delivery of medical treatments.

I will likely trust him over the CDC on any medical topic where they both have expressed an opinion.

Posted by Lymetoo (Member # 743) on :

I think it's from a lab also, but have you seen their open live animal markets? WHOA!!

Posted by Ann-Ohio (Member # 44364) on :

Again,(no matter what Dr. K. says), the corona virus is carried by bats, passes to other wild animals, some of which are sold in markets - not only in China, but in other countries - where people handle the infected animals and get the virus.

The scary part is that it has to change or mutate to be able to pass from animal to human. That new strain is what is infecting the world.

This sounds like some very unreliable news.
There are procedures and regulations to be followed when someone dies accidentally, the time of death, cause of death etc. is done by a coroner when needed. Corpses can be tested for many many things, including COVID-19 and those results are listed. So many legal
matters are involved, it would be very risky to toss ever accident off as corona virus.

There are regulations about reporting cause of death on a death certificate. In order to call a death due to COVID19, physicians and coroners must follow the regulations found below - just updated:
https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/nvss/coronavirus/Alert-2-New-ICD-code-introduced-for-COVID-19-deaths.pdf

"Should “COVID-19” be reported on the death certificate only with a confirmed test?
COVID-19 should be reported on the death certificate for all decedents where the disease caused or is assumed to have caused or contributed to death.
Certifiers should include as much detail as possible based on their knowledge of the case, medical records, laboratory testing, etc.
If the decedent had other chronic conditions such as COPD or asthma that may have also contributed, these conditions can be reported in Part II. (See attached Guidance for Certifying COVID-19 Deaths)"

This is a more recent video from these doctors.
https://youtu.be/3f0VRtY9oTs

Here is part of the older video, in text.
https://www.thedailyfodder.com/2020/04/open-up-society-now-say-dr-dan-erickson.html

"So if you look at California—these numbers are from yesterday—we have 33,865 COVID cases, out of a total of 280,900 total tested.

That’s 12% of Californians were positive for COVID.

So we don’t, the initial—as you guys know, the initial models were woefully inaccurate.

They predicted millions of cases of death—not of prevalence or incidence—but death.

That is not materializing.

What is materializing is, in the state of California is 12% positives.

You have a 0.03 chance of dying from COVID in the state of California.

Does that necessitate sheltering in place?

Does that necessitate shutting down medical systems?

Does that necessitate people being out of work?

96% of people in California who get COVID would recover, with almost no significant sequelae; or no significant continuing medical problems.

Two months ago we didn’t know this.

The more you test, the more positives you get.

The prevalence number goes up, and the death rate stays the same.

So [the death rate] gets smaller and smaller and smaller.

And as we move through this data—what I want you to see is—millions of cases, small death.

Millions of cases, small death. "

Posted by Lymetoo (Member # 743) on :

Yes, seems the death rate is just going down since so many are being tested.

Posted by Lymetoo (Member # 743) on :

I've been monitoring this for months. Most states in the USA are now stabilizing and the death rate is very low.

Hoping we are on the good path!

"Most states in the USA are now stabilizing and the death rate is very low"
Numbers can't make us complacent.

Cases and deaths are so hard on everyone.

People are suffering and dying alone, at home and in treatment.

I worry that people will think they are safe and ignore precautions.

Wear a mask when you go out anywhere!!
Stay at a safe distance from other people!
Wash your hands often!

So simple!

You protect other people and they protect you. Sounds like good sense, good citizenship, and best safe practice.

Seems only fair.

Wearing a mask does not talk away your freedom - it might just keep you alive!
