My friend posted this on facebook. Her friend sent it to her The woman who wrote it is from Ohio and deserves our gratitude.

"So for all the non believers and those who are not taking this seriously, if you need to to KNOW someone who has been diagnosed with the covid-19, well if you are reading this you know me. I am Summit County case#2.

I became sick quickly Wednesday afternoon. I felt run down and feverish. By the time I got home I had a fever of 99.2. I was uncomfortable, headache, and a cough that was heavy but not producing anything.

I fell asleep and woke at 3 am. My heart was racing. I had trouble catching my breath and my chest felt tight every time I coughed.

I contacted a great nurse I know...she said go in, but call first. I called the ER, told them my symptoms and the had me call a closed ohio dept of health number. I was clearly in distress so my nurse called them back and said I was coming in.

It's a good thing I did. My BP was very low and my heart rate was very high. These are not good signs on top of fever and cough. They admitted me and I was tested for every single other thing and then they ran the covid test.

I am the face of this infection. It is brutal and I'm a healthy 48 year old with no underlying conditions. I'm not 100% better but I'm home resting. Please take this seriously. People you love, their lives may depend on it.

I'm happy to answer any questions in between naps and hydration.

*****update...edit
My ex was in Germany the week before I became ill. He has no symptoms. My children have no symptoms. Per the Summit County Health Department we are all being monitored. My test was POSITIVE.

I was in patient at Ahuja from early Thursday till today. Fluids and pain meds and fever meds were all they could give me. My highest fever was 102.

My son did not go to school from the moment I became ill. Prior to my becoming ill...I was at work and he was at school...because we were not ill and had no reason to suspect we were exposed in any way.

We do NOT know where the exposure came from."

(breaking up the post for easier reading for many here)

Wow - thx for posting this. We're all told that people with compromised health are at risk. I had not read any account until now of someone who says she's had normal health.

Robin .. There's a PA in New Jersey or New York who was young and healthy. He became very ill and did an interview while on oxygen.

I pray he is doing better now. That was last week.

I'm a bit nervous because I have 5 serious conditions plus the age factor.

God help us all!!

Thanks, Ann!

And my question is why didn’t they test her for the coronavirus right away instead of running a gadzillion other tests.

Sorry... You probably caught from Germany...

Europe was more contaminated than the US in the previous weeks, so your husband could be carrying it without symptoms.

I hope you get better soon.

I didn-t catch any colds last year. I live in Switzerland, country number 2 after Italy, I mean, proportionally, we-re quite contaminated.

Daughter and I fell ill with something that felt really strong 10 days ago. Daughter had fever and is coughing until now, even 10 days after the first fever came up.
I treated her with many things.

It took me time to feel better too.
I still feel there-s something bugging me.
I got a tick bite yesterday, the first of the year, might be that too...

Lyme training has some advantages, we know what to do, somehow.

We heard now from somoene-s father who died in New Zealand, from the flu / he also tested positive for the covid19.

Here, the government is telling us NOT to get tested.

Numbers of infected people are MUCH higher than in statistics, because the order here is only to get tested only if you are REALLY in a BAD state.

If we have that covid, no one will ever know...

I suspect this stuff is VERY contagious.
We were also healthy before that thing knocked us on the head. Today is the first day I feel really better, but my daughter is still not totally well.

Hi Brussels,
I am so glad you are feeling better and hope your daughter is better, by now, too.

I was reporting an experience of a friend of a friend, (see quotation marks around her story) so I cannot send your comments to her.

Please keep us posted on how you are doing.

I understand what you are saying. And people really have to take this virus seriously, not only on social media but also in their real life. You know that during this pandemic period, social media users exaggerated in many posts over coronavirus. Additionally, there were many fake news about the number of people infected and about the way COVID-19 spreads. Numerous pages on instagram were sharing them as sponsored posts which took advantage of services of likes and comments in order to spread the news faster. This is simply impermissible, social media has another purpose but misinform!
