William Engel, a scientist specialized in AEROSOLS, speaks about the Corona lock down in the Netherlands, how wrong this was.

Jan 28 the Netherlands government said there was a pandemic coming.
March 12, they shut down the country.
In between they did nothing.
That's like all countries in the planet.
They should have MITIGATED during these waiting weeks:
1- decrease flights
2- recommend vit C, D and zinc to the population
3- Testing, tracing and isolating THE SICK not the whole population
4- early treatment
5- isolate risk groups (not the whole population)
6- prepare health facilities to receive the sick
This is not his idea, but common sense published in Nature about influenza.
What was done?
Nothing.
Never in history there was a lock down of THE HEALTHY.
First, it makes no sense SPECIALLY when you lock down the healthy WITH the sick, like what happened in the Princess Diamond ship at first.
Funnily, even locking people down there, not everybody was infected, far from it.
And on top, the ship was full of old people.

We here are discussing about our own responsibilities as citizens to protect the others with self isolation and masks, while our governments did NOTHING to protect us.
On the contrary:
-they offered no massive and systematic testing,
-they quarantined the healthy with the sick (as there's not enough testing done, we don't know who are sick or not): that's exactly what NOT to do.
- they never suggested any preventive treatments, on the contrary, tell us to remain inside (no sun, no fresh air etc, which takes a toll in the health of all). I haven't heard the word zinc, vit C, vit D3 in the mainstream media.
No single word about prevention by the government.

I think it was a big problem early on because we did not have viable tests. (The first ones were from China, right?)
They weren't produced quickly enough for us to identify who to isolate.
Shutting down everything caused even more problems.
