9/11 is my birthday. A fellow teacher took me to breakfast.
We walked into school and heard about it.
I had the kids do a science lab—designing and making prosthetic hands for different tasks. We turned the radio on.
So many kids were scared because their parents were flying on business. So, I had to be calm.
Came home and mowed the lawn. A friend showed up with a rose from me. My birthday will never be the same.

I turned on the news and saw that the first plane had hit one tower. My Mom lived alone and I called her in case she had seen it on the news and was in a state of panic.
We both were looking at the news when the second plane flew into the other tower.
We both were silent with shock for the longest time, and then realized we should hang up in case of any incoming information we needed to hear.
I looked at the tv for hours that day but it felt like a few minutes had gone by. I had called a few friends to alert them, but later couldn't remember any of it.
I was watching a channel that I always went to for news, but after that day, I never watched that newscaster again.

Daisy, it's like being traumatized...
I was going to the doctor's office that morning, in San Francisco. My cab driver was all beside himself, exclaiming about the news. When I got to the doctor, they were closing for the day. They were concerned that a plane might fly into their building. Mind you, this is a 7-story building on a main thoroughfare with much taller buildings nearby! I thought they were going crazy!
When I heard the news later on that Bldg 7 collapsed and it WASN'T hit by any planes, I figured something was up and it was - the gov't did it in order to invade Iraq and establish bases, as well as put in homeland security here and increase surveillance.
I also heard that Willie Brown, ex-mayor here, had been warned not to fly that day.

Very sad about it happening on your birthday, hiker.
I was at home because I was going through Lyme treatment at the time. My husband had gone to the college to teach.
I honestly don't remember for sure if he came home and told me or I already knew when he came in. You would think I could remember that!
Anyway, he came home soon after it happened and we watched as the second plane hit and of course stayed glued to the TV for days.
I remember that for a long time I could not bear to watch ANYTHING violent on TV. I never was a fan of stuff like that, but anything that was remotely confrontational bothered me greatly.
Robin .. If you are going to believe that the "government" did it, then you may as well believe that the Deep State or New World Order did it. I think that is much more likely.
A lot of things don't add up when you review everything that happened.

Robin: The plane hitting the second tower was easily seen on live TV that day. I saw it hit.
A lot of people did a lot of speculating on why it all happened. So many conspiracy theories were concocted.
Why would Willie Brown the Black mayor of San Francisco, be involved in this horrible event. Just because you "heard he was warned not to fly that day?' doesn't make it so.

Robin--they caught the mastermind behind 911 and he admitted to planning the attack along with other attacks including the shoe bomber.
I watched several documentaries on 911 last night but I can't pronounce his name (not Bin Laden who was head of the terrorist group, but another man who planned the attacks)
Everything seems to add up for me, but I am not one that jumps to conspiracy theories.
