The CDC published this study about the frequency of Lyme disease cases annually. Instead of 300,000 per year as they reported in a study a few years ago, they now say there are probably 500,000 cases per year.

January's Consumer Report article is excellent and covers much more.

I wonder why they are now admitting it?

Their study- not exactly news!

"A previous analysis of insurance claims data for the years 2005–2010 estimated that Lyme disease was diagnosed in ≈329,000 persons annually in the United States (3).

We use similar methods to develop an estimate for 2010–2018."

Because they're putting out a vaccine soon!! Yeesh. They will never come up with a vaccine for it that works, due to how Bb works to evade the immune system.

On top of that what about all of the other infections and strains that ticks carry?? Oh, yeah, no concern, because it's not profitable.

Sorry if my cynicism is not the whole story, but so far the government has been on the side of denial of TBDs, as we know. Or the opposite due to a vaccine coming out. $$$
