Just got back from the grocery store and was grossed out by this man who touched and handled every single crown of broccoli in the produce section!!

I had to wait on his butt to get out of the way so I could buy some squash. I waited and waited while he picked up every single crown. [shake]

I finally left my basket so I could just walk up next to him to get the zucchini and yellow squash. He never noticed me standing there.. several minutes.

I HAD thought about buying broccoli but I left without it. The teacher in me REALLY REALLY wanted to ask why he felt it was necessary to touch every single piece of broccoli!! [rant]

ANOTHER REASON TO WASH YOUR VEGETABLES!! [dizzy]

Gross - why do you need to touch broccoli crowns - they are pretty much all the same.

And wash your fruit too! not that there is enough waxy crap on it but I am sure many people touch the apples, etc too.

I know!! It was ridiculous! He picked them up and put them back, picked them up and put them back. [shake] They ALL looked good, so there was no reason to do it.

Fruit.. oh yes.. for sure! I use GSE to wash apples and I also have that spray stuff they sell in the produce dept.

We're growing a garden this year. I often wonder with all the hands touching these fruits and vegetables, is rinsing enough?

Must be, cause I'm stil here. [lol]

Tutu,

You are funny. "Move your butt Vegetable Head" [cussing]

I saw this show about somebody that couldn't get out of the bread aisle without squeezing, opening, and even removing endless pieces and putting them back in.

I imagine he's got some sort of Lyme OCD fixation. Either that or he's getting a cheap thrill out of vegie squeezing.

Inquiring minds wanta know. [lol]

LOL! Maybe that guy is on the candida diet and that's as close to the bread as he can get!! [bonk]

Don't mean to be gross, but I think about that all the time. And I'm sure it happens.

That's why we should also clean the tops of canned goods. Hard to do.
