The past few days, when I'm sending a PM, I write the message and hit the button to send it, but a screen comes up and says something like "you must log in" and has the log-in boxes. So I log in again and it says "you are already logged in".
but in the mean time, my message has disappeared and I have to write it all over again???????? Really aggravating!

Most likely it's a cache problem. It only happens on some browsers or OSes. It never happens on my computer or iPhone, but it happens all of the time on my Touchpad.
The way to prevent this is to "refresh" the page before you start typing. Usually you can hit the browser's "refresh/reload" button, or just the F5 key.
So for example if you think you're already logged in but it says you're not, if you refresh the page it should show the REAL page (the current one, and not an old cached version), and that should fix the problem.
I would refresh the page before writing anything, because it sucks to lose your work.
