1 day 16 hours 49 min ago Clarification: Chronic Lyme disease
We have a clarification to a story we reported last week -- on chronic Lyme disease.
In our story we explained that the Connecticut attorney general had forged an agreement with the "Infectious Diseases Society of America" - the IDSA.
The society agreed to review its guidelines regarding Lyme disease.
The guidelines in question say there's no evidence long-term antibiotics can cure chronic Lyme -- or even that such a condition exists.
The agreement calls for the IDSA to form a new group of experts to review standards for treating Lyme disease -- and to consider whether the guidelines are justified or need revision.
Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal found that some members of the board that wrote the guidelines in 2006 had conflicts of interest.
In our story we interviewed a physician who does not believe chronic Lyme exists.
We repeated that assertion without attributing it to that physician -- this made it seem that we were taking sides and agreeing with him.
We should have attributed that statement to the physician and regret that we did not.

Nice of them to do that and clear it all up... but it wasn't concerning the one I posted today. These guys ARE however, backing away from the "boys with the stinky pants"... which is great.
As the Bumsteere butt-kissing gang get more and more heat and continues to be exposed for wrong-doings... my bet is those responsible for this living nightmare we are trying to survive will do what they have always done when the pressure gets increased... run and hide. We've seen them do it on several occasions in the past (vaccine went bad- labs bad- tests bad- etc).
It sure is looking like their ivory tower is falling down fast and hard. Not many ducks or even reputable doctors or medical professionals want to jump from the frying pan into the fire and follow these IDiots down the drain when their Lyme Titanic sinks... which it IS doing.
It won't be long before their buddies and few supporters step back and say, "hmmmm???" "Do I REALLY want to have this mess on ME?"
My opinion is.. if I were a doctor and I learned the IDSA had been FINALLY caught with their pants down... I would back as far away as possible from their work, their research and their promotions.
The investigation into illegal practices is expanding and soon all of the IDIOTS will be answering for their ongoing support of these toads... legally and morally.
It's about time!
PS... BettyG... The article I posted came from today's paper.. or Sunday's paper actually (it IS past midnight).
