I've spoken with one person on the Task Force panel and have tried to reach two others to no avail. The contact I did speak with has no idea when and where the next ones will be held and didn't find out about the Jan 21 meeting until several days prior.
Sorry folks.
I will post if/when I find out anything new. Aurgh.

Easier to read at the web site link here .... but also posted below in part.
February 2010- I contacted the organizer of the Governor's Lyme Disease Task Force to obtain information on times and places of future meetings. They responded today.
Uh OH! PROBLEM!
Response from Governor's office about next meeting-
"March 1 public hearing and a March 18th task force meeting from 10:00-12:00 followed by an expert witness hearing from 1:00-4:00. Both are scheduled to be in Richmond, location to be determined."
THAT doesn't match the following announcement (just received) for dates or locations- sent out within 2 hours of the other one above.

Not to sound rude ... I just don't understand the problem and people are asking ME what is going on?
I was just thinking... this shouldn't be THAT hard for everyone.
Today I spent less than 3 hours setting up meetings in 11 different locations across 2 states, many I've never been to before, had no contact info to start out, and don't know a soul there to help with the arrangements...
But managed to get volunteer help at the locations from people I've never met ... and free meeting space too.
And it was for 50 or so people attending each meeting, with all different programs and venues... and some with meals, some not... some needing tech stuff, some not.
I have no budget to work with and was still able to do it all and get it straight by myself ... and will still have 8 weeks or more to get the information out to everyone and advertise it.
I also ate lunch while making the arrangements.. and did the dishes too.
And really really.... I am NOT the brightest or fastest blinking bulb on the tree, not by any means....
So what's the problem here?
???????????????????????
I know, I am whining. But what am I suppose to tell people when they ask?

I hear ya, TC. Woman, I've NEVER heard you whine before, so I think it's about darn time! You're long overdue!
I received an email from Dr Farris' assistant. The info now posted/sent out via Nat'l Cap Lyme is correct.
Yo, if any of the above meetings er what-nots are Lyme-related and you need some help (so you can do MORE dishes, haha!), I can pitch a fork in the hay here and there. Just lemmee know.
Will post a separate thread about the upcoming hearings and such. I still DO NOT have any info regarding who the key speakers will be though.
