I have read that the intracellular form of lyme resides in the brain too. I know there are very few oral abx that cross the BBB, let alone are intracellular too.
I'm assuming mino would be one. Is ketek one? Are there any others? Is flagyl intracellular (I know it's a cyst buster, but not sure if intracellular).

Doxy is one. I believe Biaxin and Zith also.

I didn't think Biaxin, or Zith crossed the BBB? I thought the only macrolide that got into the brain in high enough doses to kill stuff was possibly Ketek?
Also, does doxy cross BBB? If given in high enough doses?

Bicilin ,Rocephin,Vancomycin ,Roxithromycin are the best to cros BBB.The other Drugs you have to take them in high doses to cros BBB.

Be careful. Rocephin and that class of antibiotics are NOT intracellular. Rocephin alone will not cure lyme.
