My daughter started up Omnicef, Bactrim and Aretemisin after taking a week or so off..and a few hours after taking it her chest started to hurt and it still hurts 24 hours later.

Could this be a herx?

I have chest pains all the time. Even has sent me to the ER twice...so I definitely think it could be a herx.

It's funny for me though, since I've started treating again I've only had chest pains once, and that was yesterday when I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off getting things ready for our dinner guests.

In my case, it has been for me when treating babesia.

I would check with her doc to be sure.

Our daughter was diagnosed with Chest inflammation, shortly after starting Biaxin.

It causes soreness and tightness,not sure if it is the same thing your daughter is feeling.

Pediatrician said it is a virus, but will discuss at our next LLMD appt. I think it is related to Lyme and Co.

Make sure you tell the doctor. Chest pain is nothing to fool around with.

Thanks Lymetoo..it seems to have cleared up so perhaps it was just a herx. It hurt and was even sore to the touch...I will mention this to him though.
