I finally have an appointment with a LLMD on Monday. I got a cancellation call:) I am wondernig what questions you absolutely MUST ask on your first appointment? I do have a list, but it is very long and I want to make sure I don't waste time asking things that are less worthwhile on the first appointment

Good idea to prepare yourself. I just came back and wish I had asked his prognosis for my recovery. What is the long term plan?
It is a good idea to take notes as well. I spent an hour in there and forgot most of it already.
I was so surprised by some of his answers that I did not know how to continue. I was previously diagnosed and treated for bart but did not test positive so he refuses to treat it. So I would say, PRIOR to your appointment you should find out if he only treats according to test results.
I expected him to congratulate me on the massive amount of supplement I have been choking down for years. Instead he said they were unnecessary.
If there is one particular thing that bothers you a lot you should pursue it with him. What is causing it and how can you attack it? For me it is my emotional mental state. The LLMDs insistence that I have been treating my imagination for two years and taking worthless supplements with the idea they were helpful, just sent me spiraling into despair.

Think it helps if you bring your spouse, significant other, friend etc - you will find yourself not really listening as your mind wonders to the next question you want to ask
