For some reason the thought of someone else sweating out all of their toxins, etc. into it makes me wonder. Do you have to worry about cleaning it?
How long would you expect a sauna to last? There is one listed on craigslist near me, but it sounds like they've used it regularly since 2007.

I would buy a used car, but I would not want to buy a used sauna. Knowing that mercury can be detected in an old dental office on walls and carpets years later, makes me want to think twice.
Sort of my motto -- there is a time to save and there is a time to be smart.
Take care.

GIGI - Good point. what do you do to remove the heavy metals from *your* sauna after you use it so that you don't contaminate yourself with your own excretions?
We use a heavy towel folded over several times so as not to contaminate the wood but would mercury vaporize when it comes out and end up on the walls?
