...and if so, what happened? I added too many new things at once and had a seizure a couple weeks ago. My LLMD wants me to take this, but now I'm afraid to try it again.

Start slowly. I found it tough to start.

What kind of reactions are you having? I just started it myself.

Just go slow.

I had some major frontal headaches early on

But knotweed is so beneficial for me.
It has almost completely eliminated my brain fog.

My memeory is sharp, my mind is sharp, I can sit down and read books from front to back if I wanted (used to be really bad ADD/concentration problems)

Knotweed also helped with my vision and bells palsy of face.

2 thumbs up for me on Knotweed.

Eleutherococcus a close 2nd : )

My oldest with Lyme takes Resveratrol. It's a small dose... like a cap full twice a day. When she first started taking it she got a "high" feeling... like feeling like she was "floating" but it wasn't a "bad" feeling.

Ever since then she calls it her "happy drink" and only takes it when she is feeling pretty badly since it's awful expensive (for a family of 5 with Lyme).

But it's worth it for her... it really does help with her brain fog and emotional stability and she says she can "feel herself detoxing"... although I'm not sure if thats really what it's doing.

Sounds good - I'll start slowly when I'm not adding anything else new. My LLMD is very impressed with it, so I need to try it again.

When I took it, I developed this weird jackhammer feeling in my head and then had a seizure. I'm almost certain it was from levaquin. I'd also switched from mepron to malarone and added deplin (a prescription folic acid), started levaquin, and resveratrol all in the same day, so I can't pinpoint what really caused it....perhaps the combo. of everything. I have eliminated all of those things and am taking mepron again, so I'll add it slowly.

Does it cause a herx reaction? Thanks!

Icky Ticky,

The knotweed absolutely helps detox - in the sense that it protects the brain from neuro-toxins. It acts as a shield.

So it can help minimize brain herxes as well.

There's a lot of variation in quality in Resveratrol. If you have a low quality product, check the emodin content - the emodin can cause side effects like stomach aches and diarrhea.

There are a lot of resveratrol scams also.

I like RevGenetics.

Here's a website with info on Resveratrol. The website does not sell it, just ignore the Google Ads on the right hand side. The site gathers people's experiences and also provides info on scientific studies.

Just drink concord grape juice, mixed 50/50 with perrier water. I have been drinking this stuff continuously for 5 years, and I swear some days this stuff brings me back from the dead. Matter of fact, I drink only this, teas (green and rooibos mostly), and kefir on a daily basis...nothing else. These are the only liquids I can ingest that don't make me sick and sometimes even improve my symptoms.

Yum - sparkling grape juice sounds like a great idea! I used to drink grape juice all the time, but cut it out when I realized it was so high in sugar. I remember it helping as well.

Is resveratrol the same thing as trans-resveratrol?

how much resveratrol are you guys taking? Do you take Buhner's full recommended dose?

Anyone know if this can be hard on the liver or kidneys when taken with abx?
